As in the reinforcement bits? I can't say if we can get specific types, but I like using cotton Holland rather than linen Holland recently. The lining company had it, but they don't have black right now.
Yes and no. In the diagram the fly is on top, and is wrong side up and the bearer is right side up. Since the two are being cut on the double and at the same time, so long as the trouser is placed correctly this applies. I know it takes a lot of practice and doing to understand it though.
Pretty good video, the funniest thing how this makes me realize how much the whole #menswear shtick-with the "proper" way of talking, and whiskey glasses and whatnot-is really just another Tumblr fandom with its own form of cosplay
But what we need is English man that teaches us how to make pattern from measurements. I like to make jeans and chinos. If you have detailed video from pattern to finish garment. Like button up shirt. I'll attempt it. Jacket. Only reason I'm doing this to save money. T shirts can get for nothing. There is many videos of guys making patterns but it's not in English or has no words. We need meaning behind everything. I totally forgot how to make pattern for pants. Guy that I used to watch removed videos 😢. For jeans. 😢😢. I bought patterns and I am levi 32 32 as rev. I'm not fat or big. Cheap patterns don't fit me. Best to make patterns.
I wonder if you check my channel and look through the rest of my videos you'll find pattern videos 🤔 Honestly this is not money saving at all. Perhaps next to buying bespoke this is cheaper, but this life costs a small fortune and not just financially.
After covid. I was looking for affordable pants. Mr price had pants few other companies. Only pants I could find. Was for anorexic people. Even size 36 would not fit, cut was totally out. I bought denim fabric and figured out how to make my own. Besides time. Cost me about R120 to produce one pants. I have pants 2 years old and would not die. 6 months for Shop chino would be game over. It's cheap if I make for my self. 👍not so cheap if i have to draft pattern into pants for someone. 🤌. At least pants fit me like glove. I'll subscribe and have look. It's far from easy to draft pattern. Here R12000 starting price for suit. It's labour intensive. Also time consuming...

Well well well then, let's find out
Thanks for sharing all of this information. I’ve been looking for something like this for quite some time now!
Thanks.
Thanks for the content, it's great! Is there any specific linen you recommend?

For some reason I just cant grasp which is the right side of the fly and bearer. Is the diagram at 09:04 showing the pieces right side up?

Why don't we add seam allowance when we draw front piece the same way we do when it comes to the back part?
I don't know, but that's how it always seems to be
