The song represents how ARMY sees Jimin in many different personas. These range from cute and boyish, to masculine and sexy and even feminine in some ways. He can move through many different personas effortlessly and the song basically asks the listener to see him in anyway they like and he will be that for them.

This performance was from an online concert where viewers can choose a 'single' view or 'multi view'. For the multi option if I recall correctly there were 5 or 6 views you could watch simultaneously. With this format you are going to see the camera man in some of the views. It's kinda a cool concept to film this way and giving the viewer the option which angle they want to watch. 💜
You definitely want to spring for multi view ticket for online concert if you get the chance. You will see close ups, long shots, shots of members not currently the focus and yes shots with camera crew. It’s fun to see how much is going on and how many cameras are running at once. Bang tan TV sometimes puts out stage cam videos of TV/award show performances that show cameras running across the front of the stage. BTS also records their offline concerts so if you attend you will see cameras and crew on stage at points.
Honestly, I love the multi-view. It's better visually than being there live -- you can see it all perfectly! Of course... you HAVE to be there to get all the energy of BTS, but I really do enjoy the multi-view streams!
well.. he became more quiet when he grieved... and he had so many to grieve... and maybe also to regret... But he seems better these days... maybe more of his old self in what he has become... or at least that was the case when he was in the USA... hope that keeps
Honestly and you may disagree, but I think it's actually Namjoon. Nearly EVERYONE says the quietest one is yoongles but we all know that's a bold faced lie. It is between Yoon and Joon, but Yoongi is actually somehow more chaotic than Namjoon. Tbh though it's not like the group is really a "Quiet" kind of group anyway. Namjoon's still chaotic as fuck, I just think if I HAD to choose....
Another important function of the mannequin is its commentary on masculinity and femininity. Notice that it appears feminine, is wearing what we perceive as feminine fashion, but then Jimin starts wearing some of the clothes and they're perfectly suitable with his masculine appearance. I think there's deliberate commentary here on the filters we use to perceive gender, on fluidity. You can extrapolate that beyond gender as it applies to how we all use filters every day in how we present ourselves to others as well as how others perceives us through their own filtered expectations. Also, this performance was from the first day of their 2-day online-only concert in 2020. For the second day, he's wearing much heavier makeup, he has a much more sultry persona, and he has two Latin words calligraphed on the palms of his hands: Ilecabra and Arcanus. Ilecabra is a feminine adjective meaning alluring/enticing/seductive, and arcanus is a male adjective meaning confidential/mysterious/private.
Jimin once said in an interview that Filters can be many things, cameras or social media, but it can also mean people’s perspective or prejudice that they place on you. Jimin is insanely talented and a naturally gifted performer. I love Lie, it's my favorite Jimin solo and the MV for serendipity is so sweet and adorable. Onto Jin... Epiphany, better live than the MV, deep lyrics that were able to penetrate the very loud voices in my head.
Jimin worked really hard perfecting this performance for us and it’s truly a shame so many commenters here are implying it’s lesser than because in their opinion it doesn’t not showcase his vocal range (when it clearly does), or it’s not his “best” or their “favorite” song by him. I do not recall at any point Roscoe saying he intended to only watch one video per member so I just don’t understand the damage done by his reacting to Filter as a first solo by Jimin. Granted the video quality isn’t as good as we’d like since it’s is a multi-view camera angle but I honestly don’t remember any taking issue with it when we all watched the ON:E online concert. The amount of negativity and/or passive aggressive comments on this particular song/video choice is disappointing to say the least.

It is very difficult to transition in and out of any prop ie jackets, hat, scarf etc while in constant motion smoothly executing choreography effortlessly and singing. I am sure legendary icons Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly will applaud him.This is a very difficult routine!

Of Jimin's solo songs, I think Lie is my favorite. I think it really shows off his range. And if you get a chance to vere to Tae, Stigma live... Really really shows his range.

This song is my favorite of all his solos. This one for me definitely shows his alter ego side , his sexy side. I dont think it was meant to show his vocal side I think it was meant to show his two sides or multiple sides of him. This song is definitely the one I use to explain about Jimin , where I say if you didn't know him you would think he is two different people. When he does vlives, or interviews or their variety shows he comes across as shy , cutesy, playful and a little michevous but when he hits the stage he becomes a different person so if you didn't know Jimin you would think he was two complete diferent people. Jimin once told a interviewer he was shy and RM jumps in and says not on stage he isnt. This is why Jimin is my bias he has the ability to make me focus on him I don't mean this in a bad way or im not trying to disrespect any other members but Jimin was the one who stood out to me when I first watched BTS not just his looks but his voice. Suga has my exact personality but Jimin there is something about him that just has a hold on me.
There was another version of this where there was a wider shot so you could really see his footwork and dancing (and less of the cameraman). Both are great to react to. Very MJ, he's a fab dancer. As an entertainer Jimin is a chameleon. He has talked about how his whole personality appears to change depending on what he is wearing at the time. In Idol they say, “there are tens of hundreds of myself within me, today I greet another self, they are all me after all.” I think that over the years Jimin has learned to embrace his whole self. Filter is one giant flirt. Jimin is telling us that there is already a version of him to suit our every mood.

So my suggestion: maybe when you are deciding to watch any video, ask 3-4 ARMY so that you can definitely watch the best one. I’m only suggesting😊 Also Jimin’s Lie and Singularity are MUSTs! FILTER from the MAIN CAMERA (the one that kept getting in the way) was really really good, this was an AWEFUL recording of one of the multi-view cameras (not focused like the main was) of it both visually and sound control. But there is no quality recording because it was from an ON-LINE CONCERT, so any recording is from someone recording it themselves. As others suggested, Serendipity or Lie from a "live" concert.... It is a very complex song, that I still fail to grasp fully. There is always something sneaking away from putting it to words. Truly magical song.

But I was watching a random reactor yesterday and he was getting super hype and loud and overreacting. The things that it felt so not genuine. But when I watch your reactions and you get hype and start dance around, I feels genuine and that you are really getting into the music. I love Jimin and he's my bias since the beginning of my Army journey , this song is a bop, he's deadly gorgeous and sexy as hell in this performance but, honestly, I would rather recommend Lie or Serendipity to someone that starting to know them, or group songs as Film Out or House of Cards - I think he really shines in them.
I love filter but it took time to grow on me, Serendipity is my ALL time favourite Jimin solo, the live performance and vocals are out of this world!!!
To finish off the vocal line, and of course after Jin, you need to see the four of them together. House is cards or truth untold are must sees to see how they blend their distinct vocals together. They compliment each other yet they are different. It’s a must listen too. Enjoy!
Probably one of the most important thing you need to know about Jimin is his duality. He has this cute and super funny attitude personality off cam. But once he's on stage you will get mesmerized by his charm, vocals and dancing. He really is such a talented person. This is why Jimin is soo loved by many... He really has this unique quality. I completely agree with your 😊😍😡. I do think the early and consistent freedom to do solos both officially and individually whether singles on SoundCloud, mix tapes, collaborations with other artists, and most recently songs for OSTs is part of what will keep them together for a long time. They have been able to create a wider range of music based on their individual strengths and tastes (personally waiting for a Jazz mixtape from Tae and hoping for some on JK’s mixtape). This let us get to know them more deeply, and allowed them each to grow as artists which impacts the betterment of the group as a whole. Who knew at the beginning Jin would write an OST like Yours which had us crying for weeks until he dropped the masterpiece that was Super Tuna? They also truly support each other so much in all of their efforts…who can forget BTS acting as Suga’s body guards escorting him to the stage when he won Producer of the year? Listening to their BTS Behind about their song creation process also highlighted how much they interact with each other while writing, composing, producing music and how there are no hard feelings when there ideas or versions are not chosen. By the way for those who don’t know both Tae and Jungkook have had songs they were working on for their mixtapes chosen for inclusion on a BTS album-group comes first. They will continue to do solo/unit projects outside of official BTS albums, but as Jin said BTS is like his wallet or cell phone he doesn’t feel complete without the members around him. And RM’s famous we want to someday be Bangtan Papas the Bangtan Grandpapas. I know that all of Silver Army will gladly welcome them to our ranks😂😂.
I love his performance, this song is one of my favorite from MOTS7, I still remember the conmotion this performance caused on me that night, I will never forget. Jimin hard work and amazing talent should be praised always, not because he is BTS but because he deserves it.

The MV for Jin's Epiphany is technically BU-content, but it doesn't actually spoil anything (i.e. you wouldn't be able to tell it's related to the BU). However, the MV doesn't include the full song track either. Can't wait to see which Jin solo you do. 'Moon' is my personal favorite. Always brings me warm fuzzy feels.
Roscoe, it's okay to stumble upon BU stuff. I have and it didn't ruin anything for me because I still don't understand it LOLLLL but the songs in there are beautiful! It's just that some of us were hoping you'd see the best of Jimin or someone else as an introduction but because of the BU you can't. there are 6 cameras in the ON:E performances. it was online only and you could buy a ticket that had access to all 6 cameras. so you are getting different angles, and i really liked that. it can be awkward though when seeing the other cameras and whatnot. but they want some that were close, some that were far, etc etc.

And yep I am back to being dead, lol. So glad u saw the MJ inspo. It's so cool how much they are inspired by MJ and how much their choreographer Mr. Son loves him. The reason the camera angles were bugging u was because this is the only live we have. 😭 It was a paid online concert that went on 2 days. Jimin had new fit and hairstyle on day 2. i like the way you think about filter. jimin in this performance is playful, so energetic, even if he changes the styles of clothing it's still him, a different version of him, but he's confident, he knows himself. but if you don't know yourself, you are just as this mannequin - wear all the clothes in the world, there's still no life in you. no wonder the song belongs to Map Of The Soul album :)
Hi Roscoe, thank you for sharing your insights on all of BTS' messages.. I agree with you to just do you bec for me that is the main reason I joined the comfy couch bec of you 😊. You're also right that BTS is OT7, the members may have showcased their individual performances but they are still BTS. I recall in the recent concert they held st SoFi Stadium in LA, Suga said they didn't have solo performances bec they wanted Army to focus on all of them. We may have our biases but that doesn't necessarily mean that we don't love the others, bec they won't be BTS if they are not 7.
Big hugs right back at ya! The reason I watch every day is not just for the BTS content. It just feels different here. I can't explain it, but I have unsubscribed from other reaction channels that I just lost interest or don't want to watch anymore. Maybe it's the couch. Maybe it's the way you share your life, stories, experiences. I don't really know. The only thing I know is it's comfortable on the couch.

I’m actually new to this channel and I’ve been a fan of BTS since September of 2017. I enjoy these reactions and love the support you give the boy’s that you are giving them throughout this journey.
Jimin is an innate performer, be it dancing, singing or interacting with the audience. I tend to gravitate to songs depending on my mood and mental state. Right now I’m repeating his solo Lie a lot, but I LOVE Serendipity and Promise too. Jimin is a flirt (on the stage), but also the sweetest, cutest, most thoughtful squishy person ever. Once again, this song is contrasting the flirty, sexy vibe with the deeper implications conveyed in the lyrics. It’s in the Shadow section of the Map of the Soul 7 album so that should tell you something. As you get deeper into BTS you will see that Jimin started out trying really hard to fit into a certain mold. This put a lot of pressure on him to look and act a certain way, which didn’t represent himself. Thankfully he has found himself and is confident and settled into his own person. Regarding the video, well, this was ripped from paid content, so of course they would cut it in a way to ahh va our copyright. Also as other people have said, the online concert had 6 different camera angles to chose from so sometimes the camera crew got in the way. Looking forward to Jin! Epiphany is a must, but he has some other solo songs/covers to check out: Awake, Moon, Tonight, Yours and last but not least SUPERTUNA. Don’t forget SUPERTUNA!! That song is Jin incarnate!

I also love Jimin Lie live. It took me a bit to realize that in that song when he says “caught in a lie” he means trapped by something untrue, not caught lying. Love that song.

I see many comments requesting which solos to do next. I have a suggestion and welcome others feedback. Wings is the first official album to feature a solo for each member. Each of the members worked the writing of their own solos which means they are extremely personal. (Jungkook didn’t write, but RM wrote the song based on a very personal conversation about JK’s connection with all of his hyungs). Reacting to all 7 of the solo songs from Wings puts them all in the same time period with a very personal/emotional focus of each. As others have said the Live performances are best, so either ones with eng subs or use Doolcet lyrics, or both. I don’t know enough to recommend specific performances-I’m sure others could help with that. The solos from Wings are RM: Reflection. JK: Begin. Suga: First Love. Jimin: Lie. V: Stigma. J-Hope: Mama. Just my thoughts-what does the couch think?

So true! I’ve always appreciated BTS as a group of 7 but I was strongly a Jungkook bias at first. Not only is he any amazing vocalist but he reminded me of my son both as a teen and now as adult. When I first learned about wreckers I added Suga who I appreciated for his openness about struggles with mental health. I met BTS in 2018 and threw myself into their music, MVs, and other content trying to catch up. It never occurred to me that any member was more valuable than another; all contribute so much both as artists and as people. In the past 2 years I focused more attention on each member. Now I love and fully appreciate the many different facets of each individual from their music to their crackhead energy to their character. Jungkook is still my ultimate bias but now kinda like you I have a rotating multi-bias/wrecker line.🥰 I’m never quite sure of the line up from moment to moment.. anyone who stares right into to camera for one…😉 It’s fine though cause there’s room for all 7 on my comfy bias couch 🛋

Great point. You don’t always have to be an Adele or Aretha Franklin. I like variety personally and I love that jimins solos are all so different from each other and show different qualities of his voice which I’ve been wanting from the other vocal members. I love jins super tuna because it wasn’t a ballad.I don’t like when songs all sound the same. And with filter the performance vocals and dancing goes so well with the lyrics I find it to be a masterpiece. I love serendipity but lie, promise and filter are at the top for me because they’re not generic and broad but specific to certain emotions jimin has experienced which I feel like I can relate too.

I too liked Super tuna because it wasn't another ballad from Jin. I love Stay Alive because it was something different from the Edm Jk. I'm waiting for V to just belt out with his powerful voice and not the breathy voice that's his usual go to in his solos. He needs to belt it out again like he did in stigma. What's funny is we see all of this in the OT7 songs.

Jk’s and sugas stay alive is actually a miss for me but that’s on the first listen. Like the Coldplay collab it actually sounds generic to me. I think JK plays with his voice more in the covers that he does. And I’d want to see more of that. Jimin plays with his voice very well and now what I want from him is a song about the stuff he shares in vlives and interviews about growing up, being a good man, alcoholism etc. I hope he never does anything generic and keeps speaking from his experience. With the rap line I’d say suga and RM know how to diversify themselves. I’d like to see more from Jhope. His singing and rapping talent is insane and he needs to explore that more. As OT7 they explore genres well but individually they could do better (except suga and RM).

I think this song is also a little deeper than just him telling us he can be anything we want; I also feel that he says whatever filter is applied to him, is on US. It’s a double edge deal. I think it’s a very clever song with many layers. Not musically my favourite style, but I adore their story-telling💜
I totally agree with you about filter...it’s my least favorite jimin solo... My fave is lie, then serendipity. The MV of serendipity is the sweetest most jimmin video ever! Filter is a good song, and he performs it very well...but it does not touch me like the other two. I like how you are starting to get to know their personalities more...but I can’t quite see Tae as a quiet one. He has such a unique personality....very difficult to define. I really don’t know where this video is from Cos I don’t think this is the view that was on the stream. This is their online concert that’s why this didn’t have a live audience. I hope you are doing a vocal line video! They have such amazing live videos for house of cards, truth untold, dimples! This was from the Map of the Soul On:e online concert for those who paid to watch live they could switch between 6 cameras while watching, that is why there is a camera man in your shot sometimes because the viewer could switch to see from that camera instead if they wanted or one further away etc. the screens could all be watched at the same time so you could see from every angle. There was 2 days of concert so there is always a debate over who likes day one and day two performances/wardrobe etc better too.

This performance was from an online concert where viewers can choose a 'single' view or 'multi view'. For the multi option if I recall correctly there were 5 or 6 views you could watch simultaneously. With this format you are going to see the camera man in some of the views. It's kinda a cool concept to film this way and giving the viewer the option which angle they want to watch. 💜

You definitely want to spring for multi view ticket for online concert if you get the chance. You will see close ups, long shots, shots of members not currently the focus and yes shots with camera crew. It’s fun to see how much is going on and how many cameras are running at once. Bang tan TV sometimes puts out stage cam videos of TV/award show performances that show cameras running across the front of the stage. BTS also records their offline concerts so if you attend you will see cameras and crew on stage at points.

Jimin once said in an interview that Filters can be many things, cameras or social media, but it can also mean people’s perspective or prejudice that they place on you. Jimin is insanely talented and a naturally gifted performer. I love Lie, it's my favorite Jimin solo and the MV for serendipity is so sweet and adorable. Onto Jin... Epiphany, better live than the MV, deep lyrics that were able to penetrate the very loud voices in my head.
Jimin worked really hard perfecting this performance for us and it’s truly a shame so many commenters here are implying it’s lesser than because in their opinion it doesn’t not showcase his vocal range (when it clearly does), or it’s not his “best” or their “favorite” song by him.
I do not recall at any point Roscoe saying he intended to only watch one video per member so I just don’t understand the damage done by his reacting to Filter as a first solo by Jimin. Granted the video quality isn’t as good as we’d like since it’s is a multi-view camera angle but I honestly don’t remember any taking issue with it when we all watched the ON:E online concert.

I love this performance as Jimin has elegant moves reminiscent of old MGM musicals like Fred Astaire in Royal Wedding, Puttin' On The Ritz from Blue Skies or Top Hat. It is very difficult to transition in and out of any prop ie jackets, hat, scarf etc while in constant motion smoothly executing choreography effortlessly and singing. I am sure legendary icons Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly will applaud him.This is a very difficult routine!

This song is my favorite of all his solos. This one for me definitely shows his alter ego side , his sexy side. I dont think it was meant to show his vocal side I think it was meant to show his two sides or multiple sides of him. This song is definitely the one I use to explain about Jimin , where I say if you didn't know him you would think he is two different people. When he does vlives, or interviews or their variety shows he comes across as shy , cutesy, playful and a little michevous but when he hits the stage he becomes a different person so if you didn't know Jimin you would think he was two complete diferent people. Jimin once told a interviewer he was shy and RM jumps in and says not on stage he isnt. This is why Jimin is my bias he has the ability to make me focus on him I don't mean this in a bad way or im not trying to disrespect any other members but Jimin was the one who stood out to me when I first watched BTS not just his looks but his voice. Suga has my exact personality but Jimin there is something about him that just has a hold on me.

As an entertainer Jimin is a chameleon. He has talked about how his whole personality appears to change depending on what he is wearing at the time. In Idol they say, “there are tens of hundreds of myself within me, today I greet another self, they are all me after all.” I think that over the years Jimin has learned to embrace his whole self. Filter is one giant flirt. Jimin is telling us that there is already a version of him to suit our every mood.

FILTER from the MAIN CAMERA (the one that kept getting in the way) was really really good, this was an AWEFUL recording of one of the multi-view cameras (not focused like the main was) of it both visually and sound control. But there is no quality recording because it was from an ON-LINE CONCERT, so any recording is from someone recording it themselves. As others suggested, Serendipity or Lie from a "live" concert.... I completely agree with your 😊😍😡. I do think the early and consistent freedom to do solos both officially and individually whether singles on SoundCloud, mix tapes, collaborations with other artists, and most recently songs for OSTs is part of what will keep them together for a long time. They have been able to create a wider range of music based on their individual strengths and tastes (personally waiting for a Jazz mixtape from Tae and hoping for some on JK’s mixtape). This let us get to know them more deeply, and allowed them each to grow as artists which impacts the betterment of the group as a whole. Who knew at the beginning Jin would write an OST like Yours which had us crying for weeks until he dropped the masterpiece that was Super Tuna? They also truly support each other so much in all of their efforts…who can forget BTS acting as Suga’s body guards escorting him to the stage when he won Producer of the year? Listening to their BTS Behind about their song creation process also highlighted how much they interact with each other while writing, composing, producing music and how there are no hard feelings when there ideas or versions are not chosen. By the way for those who don’t know both Tae and Jungkook have had songs they were working on for their mixtapes chosen for inclusion on a BTS album-group comes first. They will continue to do solo/unit projects outside of official BTS albums, but as Jin said BTS is like his wallet or cell phone he doesn’t feel complete without the members around him. And RM’s famous we want to someday be Bangtan Papas the Bangtan Grandpapas. I know that all of Silver Army will gladly welcome them to our ranks😂😂.
I love his performance, this song is one of my favorite from MOTS7, I still remember the conmotion this performance caused on me that night, I will never forget. Jimin hard work and amazing talent should be praised always, not because he is BTS but because he deserves it.

there are 6 cameras in the ON:E performances. it was online only and you could buy a ticket that had access to all 6 cameras. so you are getting different angles, and i really liked that. it can be awkward though when seeing the other cameras and whatnot. but they want some that were close, some that were far, etc etc.

Hi, i am back. Good reaction, ty. Love this song. My ult bias totally biased wrecked me during this live. Sigh. It's my 2nd fav from him. Everytime I hear it i see the choreo and the live in my head. And yep I am back to being dead, lol. So glad u saw the MJ inspo. It's so cool how much they are inspired by MJ and how much their choreographer Mr. Son loves him. The reason the camera angles were bugging u was because this is the only live we have. 😭 It was a paid online concert that went on 2 days. Jimin had new fit and hairstyle on day 2. i like the way you think about filter. jimin in this performance is playful, so energetic, even if he changes the styles of clothing it's still him, a different version of him, but he's confident, he knows himself. but if you don't know yourself, you are just as this mannequin - wear all the clothes in the world, there's still no life in you. no wonder the song belongs to Map Of The Soul album :)

Hi Roscoe, thank you for sharing your insights on all of BTS' messages.. I agree with you to just do you bec for me that is the main reason I joined the comfy couch bec of you 😊. You're also right that BTS is OT7, the members may have showcased their individual performances but they are still BTS. I recall in the recent concert they held st SoFi Stadium in LA, Suga said they didn't have solo performances bec they wanted Army to focus on all of them. We may have our biases but that doesn't necessarily mean that we don't love the others, bec they won't be BTS if they are not 7.
Big hugs right back at ya! The reason I watch every day is not just for the BTS content. It just feels different here. I can't explain it, but I have unsubscribed from other reaction channels that I just lost interest or don't want to watch anymore. Maybe it's the couch. Maybe it's the way you share your life, stories, experiences. I don't really know. The only thing I know is it's comfortable on the couch.

I’m actually new to this channel and I’ve been a fan of BTS since September of 2017. I enjoy these reactions and love the support you give the boy’s that you are giving them throughout this journey.
Jimin is an innate performer, be it dancing, singing or interacting with the audience. I tend to gravitate to songs depending on my mood and mental state. Right now I’m repeating his solo Lie a lot, but I LOVE Serendipity and Promise too. Jimin is a flirt (on the stage), but also the sweetest, cutest, most thoughtful squishy person ever.
Once again, this song is contrasting the flirty, sexy vibe with the deeper implications conveyed in the lyrics. It’s in the Shadow section of the Map of the Soul 7 album so that should tell you something.
As you get deeper into BTS you will see that Jimin started out trying really hard to fit into a certain mold. This put a lot of pressure on him to look and act a certain way, which didn’t represent himself. Thankfully he has found himself and is confident and settled into his own person.
Regarding the video, well, this was ripped from paid content, so of course they would cut it in a way to ahh va our copyright. Also as other people have said, the online concert had 6 different camera angles to chose from so sometimes the camera crew got in the way.
Looking forward to Jin! Epiphany is a must, but he has some other solo songs/covers to check out: Awake, Moon, Tonight, Yours and last but not least SUPERTUNA. Don’t forget SUPERTUNA!! That song is Jin incarnate!

I also love Jimin Lie live. It took me a bit to realize that in that song when he says “caught in a lie” he means trapped by something untrue, not caught lying. Love that song.

I see many comments requesting which solos to do next. I have a suggestion and welcome others feedback. Wings is the first official album to feature a solo for each member. Each of the members worked the writing of their own solos which means they are extremely personal. (Jungkook didn’t write, but RM wrote the song based on a very personal conversation about JK’s connection with all of his hyungs). Reacting to all 7 of the solo songs from Wings puts them all in the same time period with a very personal/emotional focus of each. As others have said the Live performances are best, so either ones with eng subs or use Doolcet lyrics, or both. I don’t know enough to recommend specific performances-I’m sure others could help with that. The solos from Wings are RM: Reflection. JK: Begin. Suga: First Love. Jimin: Lie. V: Stigma. J-Hope: Mama. Just my thoughts-what does the couch think?

bias changes happen naturally once you've followed bts long enough and fallen deeply in love with them... I really thought I'm only obsessed with Jimin at first, but now I'm bias hopping from one to another everytime 😂
So true! I’ve always appreciated BTS as a group of 7 but I was strongly a Jungkook bias at first. Not only is he any amazing vocalist but he reminded me of my son both as a teen and now as adult. When I first learned about wreckers I added Suga who I appreciated for his openness about struggles with mental health. I met BTS in 2018 and threw myself into their music, MVs, and other content trying to catch up. It never occurred to me that any member was more valuable than another; all contribute so much both as artists and as people. In the past 2 years I focused more attention on each member. Now I love and fully appreciate the many different facets of each individual from their music to their crackhead energy to their character. Jungkook is still my ultimate bias but now kinda like you I have a rotating multi-bias/wrecker line.🥰 I’m never quite sure of the line up from moment to moment.. anyone who stares right into to camera for one…😉 It’s fine though cause there’s room for all 7 on my comfy bias couch 🛋

Great point. You don’t always have to be an Adele or Aretha Franklin. I like variety personally and I love that jimins solos are all so different from each other and show different qualities of his voice which I’ve been wanting from the other vocal members. I love jins super tuna because it wasn’t a ballad.I don’t like when songs all sound the same. And with filter the performance vocals and dancing goes so well with the lyrics I find it to be a masterpiece. I love serendipity but lie, promise and filter are at the top for me because they’re not generic and broad but specific to certain emotions jimin has experienced which I feel like I can relate too.

I too liked Super tuna because it wasn't another ballad from Jin. I love Stay Alive because it was something different from the Edm Jk. I'm waiting for V to just belt out with his powerful voice and not the breathy voice that's his usual go to in his solos. He needs to belt it out again like he did in stigma. What's funny is we see all of this in the OT7 songs.
@@marissa1341 omg yes. Exactly. I want V to do something different so bad. Maybe I just get bored easily but all his songs sound the same and I just want something different. He has such a unique voice so he can afford to play around. Jin’s super tuna is a breath of fresh air. I love epiphany and abyss but I want to see the other side of him explored in songs too. Jk’s and sugas stay alive is actually a miss for me but that’s on the first listen. Like the Coldplay collab it actually sounds generic to me. I think JK plays with his voice more in the covers that he does. And I’d want to see more of that. Jimin plays with his voice very well and now what I want from him is a song about the stuff he shares in vlives and interviews about growing up, being a good man, alcoholism etc. I hope he never does anything generic and keeps speaking from his experience. With the rap line I’d say suga and RM know how to diversify themselves. I’d like to see more from Jhope. His singing and rapping talent is insane and he needs to explore that more. As OT7 they explore genres well but individually they could do better (except suga and RM).
After hearing your commentary at the end you definitely need to do Epiphany for Jin's intro ... You'll see after you hear it and again don't do the MV do a live version to hear the whole song. PS You keep doing you! We're here for it.
I think this song is also a little deeper than just him telling us he can be anything we want; I also feel that he says whatever filter is applied to him, is on US. It’s a double edge deal. I think it’s a very clever song with many layers. Not musically my favourite style, but I adore their story-telling💜
I totally agree with you about filter...it’s my least favorite jimin solo... My fave is lie, then serendipity. The MV of serendipity is the sweetest most jimmin video ever! Filter is a good song, and he performs it very well...but it does not touch me like the other two. I like how you are starting to get to know their personalities more...but I can’t quite see Tae as a quiet one. He has such a unique personality....very difficult to define.

I hope you are doing a vocal line video! They have such amazing live videos for house of cards, truth untold, dimples! The vocal line is so amazing Cos like the rap line each one of them have very unique sound and are quite amazing vocalists...that when they sing together each of their talent compliment each other...everyone shines!

This was from the Map of the Soul On:e online concert for those who paid to watch live they could switch between 6 cameras while watching, that is why there is a camera man in your shot sometimes because the viewer could switch to see from that camera instead if they wanted or one further away etc. the screens could all be watched at the same time so you could see from every angle. There was 2 days of concert so there is always a debate over who likes day one and day two performances/wardrobe etc better too.
