X4 Foundations: Testing 8 torpedo Elite vs 1 xenon K

- Hello everybody,
Someone on Egosoft forums stated that 8 torpedo Elite could be use as an anti capital force. I found the posibility that 8 Elite could replace 10 Behemoths hilarios, so...ding...test idea.
Conclusions:
- sadly, the Elite is not it, too slow.
But the concept have merit, so 8 torpedo Irukandji for the next test. :D
Bonus: the factions don't have resources to build an Elite!? Really!? And is not like the argon are suffering in my game...

I remember this post, and i thought "8x Elite vs K and I, realy?".
My exp. is that you need +300m/s, maybe with Split Mk3 thrusters it could work....but why Elite?
Nodans are cheap and look cool and have 2 gun slots.
Kestrel, Jaguar also cheap scouts but 1x slot.
Moreya, Kyd(3x), Lux or my design favorite but expensive Takoba with 2x shield slots.❤

How do you get a free camera around an external ship? I've never been able to do that. F4 will only work with the ship i'm piloting.
I only know about F3 for external ship.🤔

I don't have it...I couldn't care less about piracy and ugly ships are big tun off for me when it comes to DLCs.
Now do 2 Chimeras 1K... Deck the chimeras out with 5 torp launchers to let loose.
The thing is...I don't like the concept of "helpless" S bombers, the only S bomber I trust with no defences is the Irujandji, 536 m/s and a hard to target shape.
That is why my torpedo Chimeras have 4 neutron gatling and 1 torpedo launcher, if hostile escorts give my trouble, my bombers are 80% interceptors.

@@SergeyPupkoMusic I know, I just tend to do experiments with things that I would use myself.
For example I've tested the Elite to see if they could be an alternative to my torpedo Eclipse, while I would never use a full torpedo Chimera in my game.
20 torpedo Elites will mince a K in seconds. They'll mince an I in a little longer, but will do it no problem.
I can always test it, but I suspect the issues that plague 8 torpedo Elites, namely too low speed to avoid turret fire and too low stats to survive the explosion dmg (including low speed), will affect the performance of 20 torpedo Elites.
The only scout in the game that I was able to successfully use as bomber is the Irukandji, but that because:
Irukandji has hull = 2.600, shield = 1.455, speed = 536 m/s
meanwhile Elite has hull: 1.800, shield = 1.411, speed = 256/s. So, while you can say...well, is just 800 less hull, what's the big deal....the low speed will kill the Elites, and that 800 less hull will be felt when the K or I explodes.🤓

But now seriosly, what modd? I understand that in the most popular one VRO, capital ships are actually better in defending againts small craft.🤨
@@ragnos28 my mod list is an arm long but i crafted it in a good hundred hours so....
Basically it's some home made stuff, VRO, Uncharted skies (new map and somewhat more dangerous), more shipyards for factions & xenons, some deadair fill for stronger economy, pirate stuff (coupled with recycle ships and stations mod, fuckign awesome mod)
Idk man, mod list long, want to see? So far VRO made the pirate life both more difficult and more rewarding those damn large ships can pot shot you from so far. Also somehow warped all my conception of ships making things like the dragon raider less of a no brainer and the katana a decent choice (internal shields are a thing now)
