Not really the witch of envy is quite literally the witch gene personified as Satella was not compatible with the gene. At least that's my understanding of it, I don't think it's been explained beyond Satella being incompatible with the gene and creating the witch of envy as a result.

Ainz actually gets a good read for how Subaru has been through when he was able to face Tanya's quote "surpassed/matched 8th Tier magic aura" without showing any stress or fear. This caused Ainz to ask himself what kind of mental stress has Subaru dealt with. Edited: realized I got it wrong, it was compared to 8th Tier, not 7th Tier.
If he peered deep into Subaru, I doubt Ainz can get his thoughts in check like SUBARU literally lived and died over and over and over again and that much death and live experience will drive someone mad 💀

However, later in the series, where the majority of his humanity has been stripped away, and that person might at best find themselves locked in a room so Ainz can reminisce in "peace" (though again it also depends a bit on the circumstances of their meeting as well as how strong said person is in the new world.)

The funny thing is, it might've been the first time this happens without Subaru dying, who knows how many loops it took him to survive Ainz and Albedo.
Ainz would probably win the fight, it wouldn’t exactly be easy for him but he would most likely win this 1v1 using WI and Cash shop stuff. But in a real fight he wouldn’t be fighting alone, every NPC summoned there from the Overlord verse would be fighting the witch immediately and they are no pushover characters, they have crazy abilities and equipment on them a literal barrage of nonstop attacks and abilities being casted not to mention the addition of world item usage and cash shop gear/items. Now the witch would not die (she’s high tier immortal) but she ain’t winning that fight and ain’t no way she would let herself be sealed again, she’d be retreating and if possible with Subaru coming with her as it’s her auto-entitled “possession”.

Is ainz technically the strongest character that was brought there? I don't really know the other Isekai shows well enough to know their power scaling. If it were a fight, Ainz would no doubt one shot him, but I wonder what would happen if Ainz tried to dispell return by death. Would it be like a pokemon encounter with Satella popping up? It would be nigh impossible, considering it's not a curse; rather, it's a shared authority over Envy with Satella. If it were a curse, Beatrice or Puck would've noticed and delt with it. The only thing that makes it a curse, is the drawbacks of having to use RBD. Aside from that, it's really just a power granted to him.

after reading up a bit on stuff and quotes from the authors I come to the conclusion: Yes he actually could. While Satella and Reinhard are definitely stronger then Ainz, Ainz has some extremely specific broken ability's himself. In the Re Zero world Ainz would be among the top 5 strongest characters in the show and would be probably the only one that could actually kill either Satella or Reinhard for good. Its just that he can't pull it off in a straight up 1vs1.
I know natural english speakers just love their anime characters speaking their language and all, and perhaps they just didn't notice, but Albedo's voice is quite out of character. Perhaps it's just this scene, who knows.

But in a real fight he wouldn’t be fighting alone, every NPC summoned there from the Overlord verse would be fighting the witch immediately and they are no pushover characters, they have crazy abilities and equipment on them a literal barrage of nonstop attacks and abilities being casted not to mention the addition of world item usage and cash shop gear/items. Now the witch would not die (she’s high tier immortal) but she ain’t winning that fight and ain’t no way she would let herself be sealed again, she’d be retreating and if possible with Subaru coming with her as it’s her auto-entitled “possession”.

Is ainz technically the strongest character that was brought there? I don't really know the other Isekai shows well enough to know their power scaling. The fact that he can see the curse on subarus heart and was intrigued enough to almost try and remove it, I've watched and read a lot of overlord and seen Ainz do some crazy things, just want to know where he stands.

If Subaru returned by death, would Ainz notice? I'm guessing Aqua would see it immediately.

The only thing that makes it a curse, is the drawbacks of having to use RBD. Aside from that, it's really just a power granted to him.

after reading up a bit on stuff and quotes from the authors I come to the conclusion: Yes he actually could. While Satella and Reinhard are definitely stronger then Ainz, Ainz has some extremely specific broken ability's himself. In the Re Zero world Ainz would be among the top 5 strongest characters in the show and would be probably the only one that could actually kill either Satella or Reinhard for good. Its just that he can't pull it off in a straight up 1vs1.
