- It is a normal day; everyone from deranged military girl Tanya Degurechaff and 16-year-old isekai protagonist Satou Kazuma to expansionist overlord Ainz Ooal Gown and demon sisters Rem and Ram go on with their daily lives. Suddenly, a conspicuous red button begging to be pressed appears before them. He could probably get away with the technicality, so long as Aqua keeps her mouth shut (and they might not believe her anyways).
Despite jokes, most tractors can actually go a pretty decent top speed of 55-70 MPH without any modifications, *more* than enough to kill someone, especially since even small tractors are usually in the ballpark of 1-3 *thousand* pounds.
Just say "tractor" and "they go faster than you'd think" when people start to look at him funny.

I always imagine that Overlord will end with Ainz somehow being able to travel BACK to his old world. *Wakes up in his bedroom back as he was before, thinking it was all a dream*

@@electrobob992 do you know the world Ainz used to live in? the year 2138 is post WW3 the entire world is run by mega corperations, there is no sunlight as the smog of factories blocked it out and everyone needs gas masks and respirators to go outside due to the toxic chemicals and lack of oxygen in the atmosphere, nobody besides the elite has studied at university level. Even satoru was one of the very few who even got a primary school education. The food everyone eats are meal bags and only the elite have solid food most people are jobless and those that do have jobs work for minimum wage working 20+ hours a day no days off and in horrible conditions. Childen begin working after primary school and those who did not get an education either go direct into work earlier or remain jobless for the rest of their lives. One of the 41 Touch me was a policeman and one of the elite with a masters and a wife and daughter while Ulbert was even worse off then Momonga. There was a supreme being that found out highly classified info about one of the mega corperations and was assassinated because of it.

Chris Guerrero voicing Ainz in the dub was great. Isekai Quartet really let his comedic timing show more. You might recognize his voice as Dr Gero and Cooler in TFS DBZ Abridged.

In 'Cautious hero' source material, it is (more or less) explained that isekai'd guys almost always come from Japan because extraterrestrials take too long to understand isekai'ing while on earth, non-Japanese usually freak out about the situation or immediately go on killing sprees. Obviously the real reason is "Japanese author" but this explanation fits really well in general.

yeah the author of overlord is actually responsible why youjo senki has a season 2. i've never read overlord but i'm glad that he's series is successful enough to help out his friend's work.
and oh konosuba and re:zero's author are friends IRL as well. they actually made both titles at the same time while drinking , they even said that both would be co-author of their titles as well seeing how much they exchanged ideas together while writing their series.

While both were office workers, both were in different positions when they were alive. Tanya was human resourcess, far above the position that Momonga would've been in as an omega wage slave.
It's kinda ironic actually. Ainz, despite his overwhelming power, still basically has no agency in this world, only submitting to what others think what's good for the tomb of Nazarick.
Meanwhile, Tanya is actively moving up, making carefully planned moves and actually leading her subordinates.

Comedy is as much about how a line is delivered as it is the line itself. So unless you understand Japanese, jokes won't quite come off the same by just reading subtitles. Can still be funny of course, but there will be something missing.
That's what I enjoy about Trapped in a Dating Sim. The way the English VA delivers his lines makes the entire show. He clearly enjoyed doing that character. That's really the only reason I watch it, but it's about the only reason I need.
Well, that, and Luxion reminds me of HK-47. The way the two interact is the best part of the show.
The dub also had the hurdle of coordinating with actors in LA and having a 7 second delay between each talking during recording. The fact they got it this good for both seasons is astounding
@@bradgaines5091 that's why I kind of wished I understood Japanese humor when it came to Gintama. There's a lot of word play and culture references in Gintama that I never fully understood when it was still being made.
Like they make a lot of jokes about Japanese celebrities who I have no idea about. The only one being George Takei. But that's about it.
Probably why the first sixty eps of Gintama don't go well with new viewers.
But it's funny nonetheless.
