    I have not been on a plane in 15 years but the part I miss the most is the take-off. Loved hearing those jet engines spool-up and the power going down the runway. I hope you have a great vacation and looking forward to more videos. God bless both of you and safe travels.

    We were living in Grand Prairie, Texas, out side of Dallas when President Kennedy was killed. My 2 children was 2 years old and my youngest was 3 months old then.

      We actually went to the Dallas/Ft. Worth area back in April of 2023, and spent several days there. We drove from our motel in Arlington, out to Grand Prairie. A lady I worked with, wanted me to go to the Harley Davidson store there, to pick up a souvenir, as she was collecting them from HD stores in various states.
      Wasn't far from where we stayed, at all. We also did a video of where President Kennedy was killed, when we were there. I find the official story a bit tough to believe.

    Really enjoyed traveling with you. My husband used to fly constantly before he retired and I’ve flown just a little since the pandemic for pleasure trips. I doubt we’ll fly anymore because of an ear surgery he had to have - he’s healed but pressure would probably cause pain. That’s why we appreciate you sharing. The quality of your video allows us to fly along with you without experiencing any pain. We appreciate both of you. Safe travels! (Does that count if you’re not the one driving, lol?) 💕🚘✈️

      Thank you so much for letting us know that you enjoyed watching our flight. We didn't know if people would really enjoy that, but we always record them, anyway. So glad that it was something you found interesting.
      Glad to hear that your husband's ear is better, but yes, it's probably better not to let him feel that pressure.

    The worst flight we had was in 2005 from Orlando to Louisville. Because of storms the plane was over 2 hours late getting to Orlando and after we took off it was continued turbulence. My wife wanted off. Was so glad to get off the plane in Louisville and the 40 mile drive home in Indiana.

    Love seeing how things have changed in the airports now. We flew Eastern airlines way back when our children were young, we went to Oklahoma with a lot of air pockets and it scared me to death. My husband loves to fly. I praised the Lord when we got home and the only way I want to up is in the rapture. Thank you and your wife for letting us watch all the different stuff you do. Have a safe trip. ❤❤😊

    I hope our seats are together next week when we fly out of Charlotte to Phoenix..did not pay extra fee for selected seats. I would be a lost puppy flying by myself..last time was 1997.

    • @NCMemoryMakers
      @NCMemoryMakers  3 месяца назад

      I hope so, too. On our flight in December of 2021, American Airlines changed our seats, even though we had already selected them. They separated her and I and this was still when masks were required on planes, and during the pandemic.
      I called them and told them that, under no circumstances, were we going to stand for that. They should be demanding that people who came together, stay together. They switched us back.
      Hope that you don't have to sit separately

      Yes, that was the first time we had been at the correct angle at the correct time of day, to get that during the landing. I was really fascinated by it.

    So besides the turbulence being scary, when yall fly is it scarier at night because you can't see the sky ? Can't wait to see where your adventure takes yall. Be safe!

    • @NCMemoryMakers
      @NCMemoryMakers  3 месяца назад +1

      For me, day or night doesn't make that much difference. It's just initially getting on the plane and thinking about everything that could happen. Once you're in the air, and when it's going smooth, you really don't think about it much. It's kind of fun.
      But the second you hit that turbulence, you start thinking about it again.
      I actually enjoy flying day and night. You can see further in the daytime, but going over cities at night is pretty fun. We went over Oklahoma City in the dark, and Wichita. It was pretty neat.

    • @NCMemoryMakers
      @NCMemoryMakers  3 месяца назад

      To be honest, the small Embraer 175 that we flew from Dallas to Wichita, is my favorite even though it's smaller, it has more space under the seats and only two seats per side.

      @kathyfischer5983 I understand. I knew I had said that at some point, but I couldn't remember if it was at the beginning or towards the end. I'm thinking it was while we were sitting there in Dallas, waiting for our next flight, but I'm not sure. That would be more towards the end of the video. Have a blessed day!
