Such a fine 'set-up',in the hands of a super player, like the 'Harp Queen' : I have not heard better tone & Christelle sure has the 'touch'. Really generous advice given in a very friendly manner.
Hi Christelle!!!.....Congratulations on the completion of your new board.... great playing and awesome sound!!!!! enjoyed the tune very much and looking forward to more soon!!! Cheers
You sure do one of Anthony’s harps some justice superb playing love listening to you an long illness has taken a lot from my music but keeping going you are a inspiration ,🎵🎵🎶👍
Awsome video. Lots of info here. Thank you Christelle. I just want to say that you are incredible. Love listening to you play. You inspire me to play. Thank you again.
I've watched so many videos where people claim to have the best "sound", to me they always sound muddy and really just over processed noise. You've nailed it, brilliant sound, brilliant playing. Thanks for sharing :)
Absolutely Awesome playing, the sounds you bring out of that 10 hole 😉 true music master. You keep them sounds coming. All I could ever play was Silent night way way back in the day when I was a teenager, shh 63 now 😆😆
You are bloody amazing! If I could do a10th of what you do I would consider myself OK.Phenominal sound and amazing control and feel.Made my day. Thanks!X
Christelle, you are amazing !!!! There are times in one's life when you hear a lick or riff and it just about stops your heart.....From 8:35 to 8:40 is one of them for me....WOW WOW !!!!!
This is a very nice sound that you have dialed up out of these effects but I must say you have a great sound to begin with. I am eagerly awaiting to see (and hear) how you develop with this setup. Marko is such a great guy and like you, he has his own thing going on and to me also very fascinating to listen to. Thank you for posting this Christelle
Glad to see you playing a Dannecker Centurian. I play one also, absolutely brilliant harp and worth every penny. I just wish I could play mine as well as you do.
Really appreciate all of the videos that you post. Thanks for sharing. Primarily, I just love to hear you play. But you are really helping me with my own techniques and ideas as well. I can't make the harmonica sound like you do, but by trying I make my own sound better. You make the pedals sound great, but then you would make a rusty bucket sound good. If you could build a "Christelle pedal" that would make me sound like you do, I'd pay a king's ransom for it.
If someone had tried to tell me the most expressive Blues playing on harmonica I would hear is from a white European lady, I would have said you need to cut down on the herbal tea buddy. Love it!
I like the Greg Heumann Bulletini element sounds really good. That is the best Mic I have heard so far. Sugar Blue uses a Mesa Boogie Mark 2. Bass amp and a Blues Blast mic with CM/CR element. The "synthy" effect may come from the studio production, but I'm not sure. He uses compression. I like the sound Sugar Blue gets. I'm looking for that type of sound but don't know the exact pedals to use that Sugar Blue uses. The sound you get sounds pretty good.
Nice rig, Christelle. Jason tipped me to some effects quite a few years ago including the BBE SS, Boss PS5 and OC2 but I believe he's moved over the different pedals now (possibly Lonewolf). I've been using a Fireball for about five years now which I love.
Ca you supply a written list of your pedal board and how it is arranged (order of plug ins)? Does it all go out to an amp? Love your sound and would like to understand your set up for designing my own in the near future. Thanks via Maine, USA, 66 yr old retired, learning harmonica player (my teacher is 80!)
Hello Christelle, Great playing and thanks for your video explaining your recording process. I am wondering if you really like the BBE Compressor? Any thoughts about that in contrast to the Lone wolf Flat Cat compressor?
Sounds Great! Thanks for taking the time to share. 1. When you play live, do you just go from your pedal board straight into the PA? 2. Do you have any feed back problems when playing with a loud band?
As a beginner follower, ....I can only dream of getting a sound like that but will return to your "getting the basic foundations" videos !! However just out of fantasy , any body guess just what a package board like that would cost ? (Not that I understood a word of the electronics ...but the sound -starting yes with Christelle , just mouth watering !)
I still prefer your music in pure simple original form! The "STUPID BOX" has hide your special talent of harmonica player. You are really such a special talented harmonica playe like a shinning diamond. Just be yourself and don't let others talk you into modifying your music and conceal your talent.
Madonna Borromeo If you go way way back, to the first & earliest of Christelle's videos, you will see & hear her explain her set up, starting with the {broadcast?} microphone & then all the rest. You just reminded me: I have to find it to bookmark it because I intend to look into it further because it's got to be one of the best, most compact rigs I've seen or heard & millions of fans out there would agree ~ it's all good.
Christelle is a wonderful organic player. She doesn't need all that bullshit. I would like to bitch slap the person that convinced her she needed effects.
Sure somebody said that to Charlie Christian when he first plugged in his electric guitar back in the 1930's. Sorry, you gotta have a box of tricks these days.
Such a fine 'set-up',in the hands of a super player, like the 'Harp Queen' : I have not heard better tone & Christelle sure has the 'touch'. Really generous advice given in a very friendly manner.
What a Great blues sound you make!!!
Regards from Charlie!
Hi Christelle!!!.....Congratulations on the completion of your new board.... great playing and awesome sound!!!!! enjoyed the tune very much and looking forward to more soon!!! Cheers
So wonderful!! I hope you begin playing again; you are always "up" after a recording! Best wishes!

One of my great artists of modern day !!! I love all your work and you, very inspiration person. thank you very much. x

Your performance took me to heaven and brought me back to earth!
Thank you for the information. I have only been playing for 8 months. I really appreciate your video. Really good. You are awesome 😎.

I did not know they had such a machine! Sounds great! Thank you.
Nice to hear you showing off.... that new pedal board.
That little laugh at the end says it all. Can I have a play on it now please? Awww go on, pretty please lol

Glad to see you playing a Dannecker Centurian. I play one also, absolutely brilliant harp and worth every penny. I just wish I could play mine as well as you do.
always a pleasure to hear you play. the pedal board gives you a bit more pizazz and takes this closer to an electric guitar sound.. very cool!

Such a fantastic vibrato... love it!
Wish this stuff would've been around when I was playin. GREAT SOUND!
P.S. Gorgeous playing. Came here from a lonewolfblues pedal link. Great playing.
If someone had tried to tell me the most expressive Blues playing on harmonica I would hear is from a white European lady, I would have said you need to cut down on the herbal tea buddy. Love it!
Great! Thanks from Brazil!

Amazing as usual. I wish it were possible to purchase the first instrument--I mean pay my money and be instantly as good as YOU ha ha ha.
I like the choice of using a clean mic and using pedals to get the overdrive tone. I do something similar except my pedals are virtual in Bias FX 2.
Sounds Great! Thanks for taking the time to share. 1. When you play live, do you just go from your pedal board straight into the PA? 2. Do you have any feed back problems when playing with a loud band?

This would work even more nice on a stage ;-)!!!
I completely agree :-)
I was just curious, what DI Box are you using, make & model
The Junction by Palmer
Bonjour :) quelle logiciel utilise tu pour extraire le son du backing track :)
no zoom-in on pedals?
Christelle is the Hendrix of harmonica.
I like your sound!
hi Christelle can you tell me the Settings on the zoom g3 Effekt ?
phew, that just blew me awaaaaay
I'm confused. Does that flickering LED mean the signal is clipping? That would explain the distortion.
No it means that the level of input signal is strong enough to make the harp break working
What pedal train reference is your pedal board?
What a sound!!!
ton cri à 12:15 donne une bonne idée à quel point le son est "travaillé" superbe son.
sounds great!!!
Wow. Whew. Toots meets Butter.
Das Micro habe ich auch schon, ist richtig gut und sehr leicht im Gegensatz zu einem Bikelamp-Micro.
very spartan your pedal set and box like the harmonica
also.
sweeeeeeet sound! Wow!
WOOOOOOOOWWW, amazingggg
Nice.
wow... ! amazing ...!
Could you list the pedals by name. Your accent is beautiful but I can't tell what you are saying sometimes.
complimenti!
It would be nice to hear what the effects sounds like separately so as to understand what each one does.
Lance Wakely and the new queen

Hi Christelle you're so cute this morning ;)

From what I am told you only need a Lone Wolf Harp Attack pedal so she has gone way over my head and price range on this one.
great
Could you please also give us a tutorial of your microphone not the Fire Ball.
Madonna Borromeo If you go way way back, to the first & earliest of Christelle's videos, you will see & hear her explain her set up, starting with the {broadcast?} microphone & then all the rest.
