So pleased to find this. My Daddy and Grandpa (Southern men) were big fox hunters and houndsmen. They both passed away when I was growing up. I’ve never really understood what “fox hunting” was. I only knew they were passionate about it and the sport had passed down through our family. However, I never saw either of them bring home a dead fox. I really appreciate getting to see this video.
I wonder if they still have field trails there now,was there in 98 for the all american.Great place to run hounds,best foxhound i ever bought was from a man in madison ms. a honest man.Southern hospitality at its finest in Mississippi

What is your response to the recent situation involving 38 dogs at Lake Grenada, Mississippi? These dogs would have drowned, if not for the efforts of two good samaritans from out of town. Why were there not safety measures set in place to ensure these dogs' safety? According to reports, these dogs were left to swim for a lengthy period of time without intervention. This situation is serious and has received national attention. It is worthy of your response. Thank you for your time.
I wish I was able to be there just to hear those hounds run. No other bred of hound can run all night like a fox hound. None. They will run any other hound in the ground. The hunt is for the chase not the kill. Once the fox goes to ground or up a tree. The chase is over. Yes, a fox can climb a tree just like a cat.

Idk I don’t think killing animals should be a sport. I understand hunting for resources tho, that has a purpose and the hunters have respect for the animals they harvest
No your wrong no fox coyote or any other game is harmed there is absolutely no killing at all those hounds are running walkers that’s what they are bred to do they aren’t pets like normal dogs all they want to do is run they aren’t forced to train to run like they do it’s in their dna that’s what this breed of dogs do they have amazing stamina and cardio and a nose that can smell a fox Deer or coyote from 3 days before when they are running on a trail they sound amazing you’d fall in love with them and they are some of the most beautiful dogs

It's simple. This is a massive plot of land, the dogs bailed off in the water after a deer. Happily, there was a good outcome.
