Love these videos. They are extremely helpful. Just an FYI. I have a 1998. I had to replace the radiator anyways, so in order to try everything to try and get my AC to work, I had the condenser done as well. It ended up being the hookup line to the condenser and not the condenser itself. Problem solved.
Just FYI. The Viper Service Manual states to oil the new valve core with new clean ND8 PAG compressor oil before installation. Good luck finding ND8 PAG. But, you can use PAG 46 which is available at most auto supply stores. If you skip that step, it is quite possible that leaks will develop around the valve cores.
You state that there is a separate video on how to evacuate the Viper's AC system. I have searched but not been able to find that video. Would you please post a link? Thank you!
Will the compressor cycle on if there is no refrigerant in the system? My AC hasn't been working and I can't hear it turning on so I took it into the shop and they vacuumed it and were going to put some refrigerant in it but the compressor wasn't going so they were thinking I need a new compressor. Should we try and pump some in to see if the compressor turns on?
The top one probably isn't original and the lower one probably is. The green o-rings are HNBR which are rated for the PAG oil and the temperatures that AC systems face, while the black o-ring is just rubber and will harden and crack when exposed to PAG at temperatures. Thanks for the video, probably going to have to help a buddy deal with his in a few weeks.
Dodge didn't do any favors with "ease of maintenance".......those of us who work on vehicles are all victims of poor engineering! Ford & Chevy are no better either. At least the high side valve uses an actual schrader valve, as opposed to GM's use of a rubber check ball in the hi side fitting.
Appreciate the easy to follow video. About to sort out the A/C on my low mileage 2002 GTS and this is where I intend to start.
about to do this tomorrow. thanks for taking the time to make this video
Thanks to this video, I was able to complete this fix on my GTS last weekend. It was super easy to do. I now have cold AC again in Florida 🙌🏽
Heck yeah! Mine has been colder than ever and was blowing ice cold with 105 ambient temps on the weekend 💪

Thanks for the info. Fix my problem
Thanks for the video! Any idea what to torque the 10mm bolts to?

Nice video.
Can you post the link to the value kit. Great vid. Need to do mine and have kind of been waiting for yours to go too. Lol
Cool video. Pun intended 😂

Dodge problems
Foreign cars use magic O-rings that never fail. Toyota doesn't even sell spare parts because nothing ever fails on their cars.
