Sorry for the late replies.@reno mat, some some of the shots were just to the east of runway 03R in a kids playpark in the morning, while the taxi shots were from a publicly accessible soccer club to the north of the airport in Bonaero park.@Dehan Cilliers, thanks :), I used the relatively cheap entry level Sony HDR-CX190E: www.sony.co.uk/support/en/product/hdr-cx190e
I dont think you know the full history of South Africa and I will NEVER refer to the airport being named after a murderer and terrorist. Jan Smust was a great Prime Minister and had never discriminated against the race colour or creed of anyone living in South Africa under his leadership. The problems started after Smuts lost the general elections to the fully blown Afrikaaner movement know as the Nationalist Party. That was when forced and formal racial segregation started. There was little unemployment, and the country had a lot to offer. Thousands of people from around the world came to settle and enjoy the most beautiful country in the world. People worked hard and became prosperous. Overseas companies still control what goes ion here, and probably will do many hundreds of years. Tambo was a murderer and a terrorist. The same goes for Mugabe and his henchman, Adi Amin to Uganda , Samora Machelle to Mozambique. All great countries ruined by raving lunatics. One can only hope Ramaphosa can restore dignity and make the country prosperous. It made me a very wealthy man and am reaping the benefi otsf my retirement . I hope you live to reap the rewards for your contribution to what was a great country.
I replied to this giving you facts and history, but it seems as if my reply was deleted. Were you born in 1936 ? I was an new what South Africa was like under Jan Smuts. A member of the United Party and no forced racial segregation. Do your research and you will see why there is so much animosity among,st the whites in SA.
