why can't this guy teach me everything I need to know? Seriously, I used a bunch of his videos to get through nursing school, and still refer to them if I have to take a standardized test ... I'm currently working on my DNP.
thanks so much. most of the videos I found were 35min-more than an hour long and had a bunch of info that's not really essential. Your video was quick, straight to the point and easy to understand ;)
Wow I have struggled to get this for so long, and forgot it every time. This is a visual I can actually understand and remember. Thank you so much. Namaste
Michael- your videos are awesome! You are a great teacher! I have been a RN for 6 months now and I work in the cardiac field. I watch a Lot of your videos to stay freshened up on nursing knowledge!
Michael, seriously, THANK YOU! I have a Respiratory test tomorrow, and I feel so much better about it. The key is amazing. Why have my teachers not given us something like this?!?!?
These are the PERFECT additional resources to my Critical Care class! You've made everything so much easier to comprehend, and it all just "clicks" now. Thanks!!
has anyone heard also of ROME its stands for Respiratory Opposite Metabolic Equal.. dont know if that will help it has for me and this video is also a GREAT explanation thanks!!
Michael, thanks so much for explaining ABG interpretation in a way that I can finally understand. this is an area where I struggle, and your diagram for "ABA" and "BAB" really helps. I will definitely use it for my test in a few weeks. It did take me a little while to figure out what you meant by determining if it was respiratory or metabolic based on the pH, when you stated to just match them up. That is when it clicked in my head that it meant using "ABA" and "BAB"... BRILLIANT!!!! thanks so much. I plan to check out your site and when it comes time for the NCLEX in June will definitely utilize you :) Thanks again, Anna
OMG!! Thank you!!! You have helped me so much!! Because of your videos I will not fail out of nursing school! I am a 4th semester nursing student and I feel like you've explained some of the things that I've struggled to learn over the semesters in such an easy way!! I'm going to go over all of them in order to learn and understand everything I still do not understand!!! AMAZING!! Thank you again :)
Thank you soo much!! your videos have helped tremendously! I am in my last year of nursing school. In critical care now, i wish i had found your videos sooner! you are awesome continue doing a fantastic job!
Thanks a ton! Writing my NCLEX soon and this has really made my reviewing so easy, wish we had fun like this in class some days. It would have really made the learning process fun!
I LOVE your teaching method. Thank you for keeping it interesting, makes it easier to remember. I am a Respiratory Therapy Student. I think you'd make a wonderful instructor. Kudos to you. Thank you so so much for breaking it down like that, so much simpler to understand! =)
I agree Brittany; Mike you are awesome & yes it says it in Iggy because that's what we use for Med Surg.. I only wished I new about your program my 1st year of nursing school - but that's ok - I do now and I am doing very-very well since joining your program!!
Love your videos, this is getting me through my last semester, great review. Another way I learned ABG is ROME, respiratory opposite and Metabolic Equal.
carbon di-acid..WHY DID I NOT THINK ABOUT THAT AND WHHHHHHYYYYYY AM I JUST NOW COMING ACROSS THESE VIDEOS?!?!?! You could have prevented a lot of stress in my junior year.
Thank you. If I may note; the lungs are very quick to compensate, but the kidneys may take some time to compensate. This means that the bicarbonate levels might appear normal and it might take some time for ammonia and fosfate to appear on urine samples.
in DNA we have the complements, if t then a, or if a then t. So I will just remember the a b a side, knowing the complement of a is b and the complement of b is a. So the opposite side of the suit is bab. Hope it helps :)
your awesome, I enjoy how you simplified this I will continue to look at your videos. I am an LPN student and we are currently studying Acid Base and Balance. Thank you soo much for your posts, and yes I am learning. ^_^
