Playing this as a kid, you were hopeful: the adult world is exactly as the Sims where good is good and bad is bad but with a general peaceful atmosphere. You would dream of your own house and how you would decorate it to build the right place for your kids to grow up in.
Now it's 2024, I have reached the age of 30 and I have learned that life is not quite like how the Sims portraited it. That was a hard one to swallow but fortunately due to the success of this game a lot of like minded people carry this desire of life in our hearts so at least we're not alone with this feeling
affordable housing existed when you were a kid, it increasingly doesn't any longer
Best music of all The Sims games in my opinion. Very nostalgic. I really do miss the first Sims.

I remember playing this on our living room computer with my lil sister laying on the desk watching and us having to take turns. Honestly one of the best memories I have of us. Happy and together before it all went to shit. Miss you Roo.

Game seriously needs a remastered version for PS4 and XBox consoles.
PS4 and xbox are obsolete lol. Even PS5 is 4 years old. PS5 refresh this year will be the current one

@@FlexBlur Sims 4 is trash compared to the Sims 1 for PC and GC/PS2. It sure would be great if they created a remastered version of Sims 1 from PC/GC/PS2 and added in all of the features from Sims 2 and 3.

I just remembered how one of my sims passed away. Via electrocution. Also, I never had my pet dog bring me the newspaper everyday. However, my brother's dog did that .
