    Real weakness is indeed renouncing to beauty, wealth, power, just for ressentiment, a hidden envy that leads to desperation.
    Not that the real meaning of life lies in those above, but renouncing early on and judging them morally is real weakness.

    Practically speaking, none of this would exist - neither RUclips, nor Jonathan's videos, nor Nietzsche's books - if the people creating these things were true brutes. Nietzsche is a deeply ironic figure who's whole philosophy stems from his personal problems, psychologizing everyone but himself. Life is about balance. It's OK to want more power, wealth, even sensuality, but if we're not using these things for good, we will be as miserable as any old naysayer. Also, you can find naysayers anywhere - they are not merely slaves and not all slaves are naysayers.

    Do you think that Nietzsche believed that the origin of "slave morality" began with the ancient Greek philosophers like Socrates and Plato, whose distaste for the Homeric myths fueled their pursuit for objective truth? Or do you think that Nietzsche believed that "slave morality" originated more from Judeo-Christian morality?

  • @D1804-h5c
    @D1804-h5c 3 месяца назад +5

    How could Christian morality being slave morality, while its founder is the Prince of Prince, the King and Lord of everything that is ultimately true, beautiful and vivifying. In his nobility he refuses to take possession of this earthly reality but have chosen instead to show us the way to struggle in this fallen world while waiting for his return and salvation. Without him how could you be sure that you would not have been a slave in ancient Rome, literacy is for the most part a consequence of christian phenomenon. Christianity help both you and Nietzsche become educated.
    And how despicable is this philosophy. The West doesn't have anything close to two sides. You will give to Caesar what is his and to God what is his and the sorting might surprise you.
    Finally, I hope that you don't believe in this rubbished and cynical categorization that you're teaching.

  • @shawncollins6039
    @shawncollins6039 11 дней назад

    There's a lot of shallow understanding and putting the cart before the horse here. What is interesting is that both stem from the same human psyche, when under different conditions. To say "the poor" only hold onto "ethical moral community supporting behavior" because it is the opposite of the ruler's mindset is ridiculous and ignorant. Common people rely on their community, and there is divine guidance in that, it's how we are created and meant to be, as a human culture. Sharing and giving and loving is how we may align with our creator. The ruler however no longer has the typical survival needs, and plays by a different set of rules, his own ego's rules in alignment with the 7 deadly sins or in Buddhism "the 5 poisons". The orator lacks spiritual depth and understanding, and it's not possible to speak on the great classics without this. But keep at it, it will lead you toward the path of best service and fulfillment.

      That's hardly selective choosing, it conveys the general rule of thumb of the Bible and doesn't cherry pick some passages.
      Also, he is simply repeating what Nieztche wrote. You should read his books, he is probably the greatest philosopher who ever lived, or at the very least, the one who's major works are consistently placed as the most important philosophical writings in history.
