I LOVE this. thank you so much. I was a trombone player in the Army Band for 24 years, and this piece was a "go to" piece for us that we played all the time. You did a fabulous job! I play every brass instrument (except the French Horn, I've never tried that), but you make me want to pick up the ocarina, LOL
Also, you should check out the "english folk song suite" from Vaughan Williams, I played Orchestra Version a few months back and it was so much fun! I think you might enjoy it too :)
I played the entire suite in concert band in 2015. I played the alto clarinet part and as such I got to play the short solo at 1:52 (originally written for alto clarinet). Definitely in my top 10 favourite band pieces.
This was incredible. I remember first hearing this when I was in band and wanting so badly to play the solo clarinet part. As an ocarina player myself I would love the notes if you have them. This is absolutely amazing and incredible. Never stop playing.
I feel so happy that my band teacher let us play this piece. It looks a bit difficult for our level of playing (we are 7th graders going to 8th grade soon), but it is so peaceful and graceful.
You should do a cover of this one piece called The Country Club Stomp, its fairly easy but it's a really catchy piece, i still catch myself humming the tune every nownand then after 2 years...
Wow, this is incredible! I also play ocarina and have a large collection. I've thought about doing a split screen ensemble like this, but you've set the bar very high indeed - plus I don't play euphonium! Looks like you have a C bass (my lowest is a Fiehn Eb) plus your highest instrument goes all the way up to A. What size/model would that one be? Thanks so much for posting!
Thank you! The lowest I have is the Claudio Colombo contrabass C, and the highest one is a Focalink Sopranino F. I've since discovered that many soprano C ocarinas (including the one I use in this video) can use overtones to go to high A, and my Focalink Double soprano G can as well.
I need to discover some of the new ocarina designs and makes out there - I mostly have the old school Austrian ocarinas, and a few modern ones made along the same lines. Here's a recording I made of the opening of Also Sprach Zarathustra. There are gaps for the timpani part - which I never got around to adding. www.dropbox.com/s/k2npicqsz16t5jq/Also%20Sprach%20Zaratootstra.mp3?dl=0
Well once I started my euphonium major, I mostly stopped practicing instruments with different embouchures because doing so can mess with my endurance. So ocarina is ideal because it has no embouchure. But that's not to say that I won't make more full wind ensemble videos in the future of course.
29 year band director here - this was fantastic! bravo, young man!

Impresive
You should do The Planets suite next!
not a bad idea
Oh boy, that would be quite the project! Jupiter is my favorite, so I could see that one happening eventually.
Mars would be awesome aswell! :D
Also, you should check out the "english folk song suite" from Vaughan Williams, I played Orchestra Version a few months back and it was so much fun! I think you might enjoy it too :)
I actually wrote a tuba and euphonium quartet arrangement of that a little over a year ago. I could certainly see that working well with ocarinas. :)
That soprano segment at 2:30 is impressively clean.
Wow - seriously awesome and inspiring. Well done
Saw this first on facebook. Have listened to it 4 times now. SO GOOD! Well done!!
Ahh the arpeggios for the flute part at the end... done so well ;') you did what our flute section couldn't lol
The trilogy is complete! Absolutely love it!
Could you do "Mars" from Holst's "Planets" Suite?
This is amazing. If I wasn't paying attention, I could swear by the beard of Zeus that the ocariana sounds like a woman singing. Good job!
This is amazing! I never knew an ocarina could sound so good (or that there were so many different sizes)!
This is so cool! I gotta look into euphonium
Thank you! I’m glad I can share the love of euphonium
for sure planets suite next (: but good work on this video (and all your other ones)
Yesssss!!!! I played the clarinet solo in school this year (my senior year). Off to college now. I really like this arrangement!

This specific piece is my favorite of all music and all time. Thank you for this beautiful rendition. I thoroughly enjoyed it! Subscribed
You should actually do Gustav Holst's Second suite in F next.
I love Holst! This is also amazing!
Awesome job with the solos! They sound beyond well polished!
Beautiful as always ♥
This was incredible. I remember first hearing this when I was in band and wanting so badly to play the solo clarinet part. As an ocarina player myself I would love the notes if you have them. This is absolutely amazing and incredible. Never stop playing.
This is actually insane
AWESOME!!
Lovely stuff mate
You should totally do the second suite in F some day as well!
on of my favorite songs
Great arrangement!
Nice video, a fan here!

Love it!
Excellent !!!
You are absolutely AMAZING! Great job Jordan :)
I'd love to do a video with you someday 😀
Thank you, and yes I'd love to as well!
Where can I find the arrangement for the lead Euph. At 1:24 and 1:52
My apologies for the slow reply. Feel free to email me at jordanmooremultitracks@gmail.com and we can work it out with me sending it to you!
ocarinas and euphoniums (I think), what more euphonious combination...
just, damn, you guys are gooooood...
qué gran talento.
eh escuchado los tres movimientos y son simplemente sublimes :')
Yeah!!
You should do a cover of this one piece called The Country Club Stomp, its fairly easy but it's a really catchy piece, i still catch myself humming the tune every nownand then after 2 years...
Forgot to add that you did a fantastic job on this cover, this was also one of my favorite pieces that we did that year, keep on playing!
If you get the chance, you should do second suite

I think you could definitely get some sponsors if you wanted (or maybe some have reached out already).
1:24 hits different
2 down. One to go
bro what software do you use to put the videos together like this?
I use Sony Vegas Movie Studio
You should do some more Zelda stuff
How did ocarinas become one of your signature instruments?
Well once I started my euphonium major, I mostly stopped practicing instruments with different embouchures because doing so can mess with my endurance. So ocarina is ideal because it has no embouchure. But that's not to say that I won't make more full wind ensemble videos in the future of course.
