Really beautiful piece of furniture in the end - and most importantly you managed to preserve the memories so your friends will be very grateful!

Thanks for this video. I have been watching your videos for a while and they are great! I have a crib that needs upcycled and now I know what to do with it! I didn't realize we can use pocket holes for weight bearing projects.

Thanks! You can use pocket holes for some weight bearing projects. In this case, there isn't any stress being applied to the rails that I pocket screwed, they're just attached to the base. And then the 2x4s are laid across the 4x4s, but it's the 4x4s that are being lifted. The 2x4s are just there to keep the 4x4s parallel, so those pocket screws don't have much stress applied to them.

1:52 whenever anyone of RUclips says 'spacer' I always hear Ivan Miranda go "SPACERS" I can't be alone in this.

Yep I do like the concept but my problem is I buy 3mm (1/8") cord so I will get left with a woodpecker wall if I do that. However the concept is really good so I will have to find something that is around the 1mm (1/32") mark.
*Thank You* for that tip/trick Tommy. It's so bloody obvious when someone tells you about it, eh. 🤦‍♂
