- Four law enforcement officers were killed and another four injured during a U.S. Marshals Service fugitive task force operation in Charlotte, North Carolina, Monday. A suspect was killed during the standoff, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg police chief. CBS News' Manuel Bojorquez has the latest confirmed information.

Just wish they had kept him in prison where he belonged
But this mistake took four lives and 4 injuries plus children and wife’s with out a father 😢😢😢
They can't just keep someone in prison indefinitely after they've fulfilled the terms of their sentence.

What if he also had a handgun which he carried with him to the grocery store and he grabbed another shopper as a hostage at the grocery store? Then you would say they should have gone to his home to arrest him!
The case details have not yet been made public. There may be valid reasons why they chose to do it as they did. Still a tragic outcome, however it happened.

The suspect was a FELON (he had been convicted in the past for a felony). As a convicted felon he had no legal right to own any firearm, in fact it was a FEDERAL FELONY for him to even possess a firearm.. The Second Amendment has nothing to do with this shooting.

Look at the house behind this guy. They destroyed it and you can bet they intended to do this from the moment they jumped into their armored cars. Why couldn't they arrest this guy when he was on the road, at a convenience store, out for a walk? Why did they attack him at home? They have done this dozens of times and never experienced any serious pushback. They were fully expecting to storm into the house, brutalize every person in it, do a "search" which meant destroying everything in the house, because they get off on that, they love it. This time they paid the price for their arrogance. It was because of their hubris and incompetence that those cops are dead. But you will never hear that.

@@jaz8935 No, not wow. The most basic military training is attack on grounds of your choosing. They chose to attack him at home where he had access to the guns and preparation he made. They brought in the armored cars when their attempt failed, but don't tell me they didn't start with a dozen or more cops in combat gear with combat weapons. They didn't go in to arrest, they went in to attack, destroy and punish, because that is what they always do. This time it didn't work.

most of your officers are not highly trained. Many only shoot a few times a year for qualifications. Now that US Marshall, would have more training than your average officer.
No knock warrents are suppost to be only used in certain circumstances.
