But if this was the actual intro, it would have tricked more folk expecting a traditional melodrama into tuning in and being freaked out and permanently scarred for life! Woulda been great!
Twin Peaks is one of my favorite shows of all time. Agent Cooper was the bomb! The show has inspired countless movies, games, and shows. Thank you David Lynch and Mark Frost!
Really puts into perspective how well Lynch and Frost wrote the show, to where they could not juggle, but balance the nearly 30 most recurring characters.
That's a really well-assembled opener! Especially given how iconic the original is. The shots chosen are perfect -- Beymer stalking the hallway with the cigar, Jack Nance putting on the hat, Sheryl Lee seen only on video... great work.
What bums me out about this is how many of these actors have since passed away. Watching The Return I couldn't help but miss good ol' Pete during the whole thing :(

It’s just a shame that out of all of them, Ontkean was the one not to return (though issues in his personal life may have prevented him from doing so). Piper Laurie is still acting, so I’m a little disappointed that they didn’t get her back while she is still with us (and Joan Chen too).

Dukes recalled: "We last spoke in August and he informed me he wasn't going to Washington after all. I told him I was heartbroken to hear that. Aside from being heartbroken, I am puzzled. Twin Peaks is not Twin Peaks without Michael Ontkean as Sheriff Harry S. Truman." Ontkean's role was replaced by Robert Forster, playing Sheriff Truman's brother Frank. Forster was initially David Lynch's first choice to play Harry Truman in 1990.

I like the effort, and certainly your editing skills are good and you probably even have some real talent for this stuff, but this particular intro just feels too much like a cheap Hollywood cliche. I think the original is much more thoughtful, original and deep. Still, good job on achieving one of the classic formulas for a soap opera intro in well-executed fashion, it is a classic for a reason and achieving it is not easy, even if using that formula for something as deep and original as Twin Peaks is a bit in bad taste.

I loved this series specially the first season. It was dark and mysterious. Second season was a bit too weird though.
