Ordered my 2024 Cayenne Coupe last week. Two days later got call from sales rep informing me that neither the Front Passenger Display nor the new HD Matrix headlights are available and there is no timetable. Very frustrating to be sold by Porsche's executive and design teams on awesome new features of a car and, after ordering that car with those features literally the day it goes up for sale, to find out that they're unavailable.

I've been hoping to be able to buy a new Cayenne in 2024, and this refresh looks promising. In the USA, Matrix LED lighting is illegal, and sees the advanced functionality of HD lighting disabled. Is this still the case, and will the new headlights allow full functionality in the USA? I'm also afraid to see the starting prices of these cars, as I'm sure the "profit maximization strategy" of digitalizing everything, making production cheaper, but increasing prices to the customers, and making every option a-la-carte, might put this out of my reach. Interior is nice but putting the gear selector lever on the dash removes the sportiness of the car, and makes it look more like an appliance. I'm really torn on that design decision. Rest of the car is lovely. (but not the coupe, that is still ugly and pointless)

I love the new Matrix headlights on the new cayenne, it’s annoying how matrix headlights are illegal in the USA. And the new coming models will all come standard with led matrix headlights without the HD function, I wonder what they’ll do.

Matrix headlights are not illegal in the U.S.
The Extended Range Function, i.e the brightness/intensity and angle of the beam at higher speeds for long distance illumination is restricted electronically until federal regulations here in the States allow for that functionality to be unlocked via an over the air update.
I agree about the gear selector switch. But in an automatic vehicle.......... I have to admit that I've really never used the gear leaver to up or down shift except maybe 5 times ever.
I usually use the paddle shifters.
At least they aren't a row of buttons across the dash that you need to press to select the gears.
That would be REALLY LAME! lol

I am so glad & I really hope that Porsche do not put the same style headlights on the EV versions of the Taycan !! It will destroy the front end design & for me ! The front of the Taycan variants spoil the over all look of the car & I find it very disappointing !.........................Ich bin so froh und hoffe wirklich, dass Porsche bei den EV-Versionen nicht die gleichen Scheinwerfer wie beim Taycan anbringt !! Es wird das Frontend-Design und für mich zerstören! Die Front der Taycan-Varianten verdirbt das Gesamtbild des Autos und ich finde es sehr enttäuschend!

Shut up, dude! Your opinion quite sucks and is totally irrelevant.
"I really hope... blah blah blah..."
Listen dude, your "hopes" and wishes are totally BS and absolutely unimportant for Porsche and all the other Porsche enthusiasts!
The new Cayenne front and rear design fits absolutely PERFECT to the rest of the vehicle, period!
You can say what you want, it won't make this design bad, you clown!
What do you expect, from a facelift, idiot???!
Porsche has always been one of the best carmaker, which makes the facelift version 100% better looking than the predecessor vehicle.
      Your opinions are totally irrelevant!

Old socks, new shoes. The Cayenne Turbo impresses but does not excite. It cannot match the BMW X6M in power and performance. The only exception are the super expensive ceramic brakes (a $9k option) they are spectacular. I know, I have both cars. I have my 2nd, soon my 3rd X6M. Major repair on the Cayenne (sensors and fuel injectors), compared to zero on the X6M. A no brainer for me.
