I lost 70 pounds over seven months using them and have been maintaining that last two months. I found it easy to follow, and the tracking is simple. My overall health is now much better
Granted, Noom is not for everybody, but no eating plan is. We all need to find what works for US. I’ve tried several diets, and after the others, I’ve repeatedly gained all the weight back ~ and then some. So far I’ve lost 40 of my 60 pound weight loss goal on Noom, and with what I’ve learned, I have every confidence I’ll keep the weight off this time because I've been given the tools to do it. I need the logic behind what I do, and that’s what this plan has given me. I also need to eat the way I’m going to eat after I’ve reached my goal. If foods are forbidden on the diet, I’ll go right back to eating them when I’ve reached my goal. But on this I’m learning how to manage ALL the foods I like so I don't feel deprived. I feel empowered. My weight loss has been slow, but it's been consistent. And this whole experience has been invaluable in helping me analyze how by body works and responds so I'll be successful in keeping the weight off long after I'm done with Noom.
I’ve been doing Noom for 4 months and this review is spot on. The Noom guides are the weakest part of the plan. I liked the lessons at first but they did become repetitive and slow towards the end. I really like the tracking and being able to log meals but as a Keto follower my diet doesn’t quite fit with their green, yellow and orange food categories. I will say learning to write my meals down every day is a strong, behavioral tool however, I know there are free apps that allow you to do the same thing. Thanks again for this review.
I am new to Noom; it has been about 2 weeks and I have steadily been dropping weight (almost 2 pounds per week, so far). It is true that much of the information is redundant as to what most of us already know. We all know what we need to do to drop weight, I think it might be a means to keep you accountable for your actions. I like it so far, weight is not so much my concern, though I can certainly lose at least 30. My reason for using Noom, mostly, is to keep me on track to reduce my high-fat, high-sugar diet. I am pre-diabetic with high triglyerides. This is what I truly focus on; if weight loss is a result of tracking what I eat, then that’s just the bonus to my overall goal.
@@moni6737 true, but youtubers usually like to know what makes their content a bit more interesting to keep viewers returning. I always hope for youtubers to be successful.
Eating anything with oil in it raised my cholesterol to a horrible number. It went down a 100 points. I had to learn what way of eating was best for me. I started eating for health not concentrating on weight loss. I lost 53 lbs by just eating to save my life. Weight loss was a side effect, and no keto or calorie counting.
Thanks so much for your very informative videos on weight loss programs and medications. However, this video was difficult to listen to since the background music was too loud. Totally understand the addition of background music, but it should be more of natural sound level so as to not interfere with your much appreciated content. Thanks again.
Yes! I’m hearing impaired and it’s obviously easier to hear/listen without background music. I don’t understand the point of background music for this. It’s distracting.
Great explanation. You just hit so many questions I had on the head, like healthy fats and eating disorders. No one should weigh themselves every day with an eating disorder. I know this personally.
I’ve been using it for about two months and have from 305 to 262 for a loss of 43 lbs. I’ve found it to be easy to use and has helped me to really get my eating under control in a relatively painless and effective manner. I don’t do parts of it that I don’t want to do so you could say that I’ve customized it to suit me. No real complaints and I’m happy with the amount of weight that I’ve lost. I am confident that my weight loss will continue.
Read the refund policy carefully before signing up for membership. They only allow you to cancel auto renewal, not cancel the membership. They won’t refund money for any unused months. After about 8 months, the readings/lessons stop.
I cancelled (I thought) my subscription last year, they charged me $170 again this month. You cannot remove your payment method from the site without entering another card number, or “cancelling the membership”, which takes an act of congress to accomplish with customer service agents who are unhelpful, sarcastic and rude. I cancelled again today (took a screenshot of it to be able to prove this time). I would not recommend Noom to anyone - it’s yet another expensive diet with horrible company policies and customer service.
I've been on Noom 4x and lost weight and kept it off every time! I'm on it now and losing weight. It works if you are a self- directed person who is disciplined in reading info, recording foods and being honest with yourself
Btw, there is no more coach on Noom. Instead, they use something called "guides" who are random ppl that talk with you and you can reach out to. I miss having just one personal coach on Noom!
I'm glad I saw this video. I've been on the fence for the past month now, vacillating whether to join Noom or not. After seeing this video, I have decided not to join, thank you for saving me money. Right now I'm on intermittent fasting, 18:6. I have lost 12 lbs in the last 3 months, but I still want to lose 8 lbs more, and then I'll stop. I'll stick to IF for now until goal, then I'll stop, and do maintenance.
Noom works great for me and well worth the price. I know many nutritional facts and anyone can do research, but having the daily systematic psychological and behavioral info available as I log my food consumption has been impactful. For long-term results, I won't be studying my micronutrient intake daily, so simple color coded groups will be better to remember. Having all habits, mood diary, water intake, physical activity, and other features in one place has been the key to my success with Noom.
Thank you for your feedback. Listening to your video I decided to decline NOOM since they are not registered dieticians I don't believe will be able to help me. I love to eat out at restaurants. I need an expert who will tell me what food choices I can have that I like and I will be able to lose weight.
I just started Noom a couple of days ago and yeah, some of the articles are definitely a little too cutesy and annoying. Feels like they're talking to me like a child.
I forgot to cancel my auto-renewal so now I'm stuck paying for it until the summer. 🤬🤬🤬 Now all I'm using it for is to log my weight. No more reading cheesy articles, no more tedious calorie counting.
Yes, the jokes are bad and make you want to groan. But I’m willing to overlook the awful puns because their writing is a whole lot better than most of the dry stuff I’ve read on other apps. I’m willing to overlook it because Noom is working for me, regardless of their writing style.
So far I'm doing ok on Noom. I like the reading and the test, but I am more interested in losing weight. I have before lost 5lbs. then gained it back I did this for about 6 months and couldn't understand why the weight I lost wouldn't stay off. So I went on Nutrisystem because I wanted to have food already made for me and portioned out to me it seemed easier to have it ready already. So now I'm on NOOM now so for now I like it although I'm on my own. I have lost 7lbs so far. If what you're saying is true now I'm worried about this one too. I've only been on NOOM for about 5 days now, but I'm worried. I want to lose but I do not want to have surgery to lose I'm more afraid of that. I need to lose a total of 65lbs. So what should I do from this point on?
I personally lost 100 & I only regained 20 of that by simply removing as much sugar and carbs as possible and eating less meat and lean as I could when I did eat meat. Also cut out dairy products as much as possible (I do cheat eating cheese) also reduce the amount of oil in your food and replace as much as possible with lower cholesterol oils like olive or grape seed oil. Also low weight high rep weight training and cardio training occasional high weight low rep is good too but don’t overdo it. Also get lots of fresh air and sunshine and drink water and avoid sodas and juice (unless you are just adding a bit of juice to your water for flavor) also consult your physician before trying this. I’m simply saying what worked for me.
Noom now offers not just the regular program, but also has "Noom Med" where you can get GLP-1 Agonist medications. Combine the psychology and the food logging with medication, you know?
Great video great information. It’s just another form of Weight Watchers versus Jenny Craig versus count your own calories. You could turn your music down a little bit, though with all due respect. Your music was a little too loud.
The problem with the positive comments about Noom is that nowadays you unfortunately never know what is real and what is advertising... the best thing is to just try it out. It's not that expensive either.
Would use this (and even pay for it) but the diet section is total garbage. Eggs are "yellow" foods? Steak is orange? They're doing their research in a library in 1994.

thank you, that was very valuable information

You want to lose weight? That happens through repetition

Agree with other comments, hard to hear your info due to music volume. Turn it down a bit and Ill try your video again
Just read then. Captions are on the screen 😊

I started one week ago, really like the app. Your explanation of the app is excellent- thank you !
Hola te funciono?? O busco otra opción?

Yep. Happened to me. I finally had to call my bank to stop payment, but I did lose thirty pounds
I was about to. Thank you for your video. The video opened my eyes.
Thank you for your honest and thoughtful opinion.
Thank you so much for this thorough review! I found it very helpful in deciding whether or not to get Noom.
Dr yeung. great explanation, love it!
This video was really helpful!
Thank you so much!! You saved me a lot of money!!
extremely difficult to stop the subscription. still being charged $200 a month after cancellation the subscription
Bro call your bank tell them to block it

Excellent Review understanding the parameters my help limit expectations while assisting the less motivated. 😅😅😅 👍

Way to expensive just eat veggies and protein chicken beef eggs and fruit and no process foods and walk 5 days week 45 min u will drop pounds
Ok will do
Drop punctuation and grammar lose pounds
It was very informative
I tried Noom, and didn't like constantly having to document the foods that I ate each day, along with the amounts. It got too time consuming.
Noom works great for me and well worth the price.

I'm using Noom, I was trying to cancel, but I do not understand if the going to charge me for 6 months or not.
Thank you.
I just started Noom a couple of days ago and yeah, some of the articles are definitely a little too cutesy and annoying. Feels like they're talking to me like a child.
That’s exactly why I canceled. I felt like it was condescending and bordered on bullying.
I wonder if maybe they're designed to specifically with teens in mind, since teens especially will be most interested in dieting and weight loss.
I forgot to cancel my auto-renewal so now I'm stuck paying for it until the summer. 🤬🤬🤬 Now all I'm using it for is to log my weight. No more reading cheesy articles, no more tedious calorie counting.

I almost subscribed to, but I think I can put this together myself with my own community.
Great info but terrible music. Nearly skipped the video but glad i didn't thanks.
I would love to listen to the information you have to say but the loud music is very distracting....
Thank you
just what I thought, thank you!!
Good video, you could drop the music, it’s distracting. Thank you
Turn the music down!
No need for music at all. Just get the point!
Has the app changed at all?

Just combine noom categories with Mediterranean whole food pyramid. Set your caloric threshold. No need for app.

Music drowns out the speaking parts...wish it was easier to hear. Especially for some that are hard of hearing. Wishing for a non-music track version.
Перевода текста нет, значит в бан, простите и всех благ.😊
Сначала вам нужно выбрать субтитры английские, затем вы переходите к автоматическому переводу и выбираете свой язык, т. е. русский.

Amazon has a noom book for sale for under $20. I would love to see a review on the book because the app sounds like a scam.
The problem with the positive comments about Noom is that nowadays you unfortunately never know what is real and what is advertising... the best thing is to just try it out. It's not that expensive either.
что делать тем кто не знает Английский?

Noon is a scam and messed up my insurance and from another company not from them. It’s better to pay for it without insurance.
Ummm. Losing weight fast is really never a good idea.
I’ve been at this overpriced app for three months. I have lost a whopping two pounds.
it didnt work in my country..
update: it banned! wow weird..
Would use this (and even pay for it) but the diet section is total garbage. Eggs are "yellow" foods? Steak is orange? They're doing their research in a library in 1994.
No it's a waste of money they don't care about you all they do is want money
Lose the background music
If I have to eat unseasoned chicken I’d barf.
“Myself included” boy you didn’t even go to medical school. Stop pretending to be a physician
Wtf is up with the awful distracting background music??
