Mike, you always have very, informative podcasts. You address the hard issues most want to ignore or pretend doesn't exist, yet you're not afraid to tackle them. Kudos for doing it in an intellectual and mature way and not just a political rant.
@5D CONSCIOUSNESS very true. They were also working with Pablo Escobar which is why he could never be "caught" ... they would stop other drug smugglers and take their drugs and money and sell the drugs back to Pablo.. if you think they just destroy millions of dollars then you're a fool.
Mike your podcasts are outstanding. This man knows his job duties very well. If we had more Americans with his attitude, we would be a stronger nation as a whole. I appreciate these podcasts. They fuel me to be a better American at heart and service.
I also really enjoyed this. One thing missing is the fact that some in our government profit from drugs. If people got serious I think some past presidents and heads of government agencies would have been charged with crimes . Drugs were being flown into Arkansas in the 80s and 90s.Bush and Clinton's little project. Iran Contra affair also involved drug smuggling ops .Our troops guard poppy fields in Afganistan. Obamas fast and furious shipping guns to cartels. I think all these things are ignored and need to be addressed but if it were your video would probably be banned. Thanks again . I really enjoy your show.
Great interview thank you for bringing on this guest. I learned a lot as always with your interviews, and appreciate people like Mr. Jones for doing this kind of work for our country.
This podcast should be on national television. Wake up America! Big shout out to the Troopers down south, great agency, great people. See y'all at the NTC picnic.
Great guest as always MIke! My personal opinion: I do feel if the Fed. Gov't wanted to win this and shut it down, they could and would in a heartbeat with our resources. Why won't they? That's my biggest question. We need more of Jaeson in the Fed. Gov't to fight this
Excellent content that helps me be a more informed citizen on pressing issues. I learn more than in most of the lectures I’ve sat through in college, both times, and to a degree, law school, as well. Thank you and keep up the good work!
I first saw Mike on Jocko's podcast. He had some great information. Last week I found Mike's podcast, and im hooked. Keep up the the great guests and information.....side note, this is a very good episode. Great conversation that they had

Mike thank you for the podcast. I listen to most of everything everything you do but this one and the one with the special operations game Warden has really hit home for me. I just got out of the army a few months ago and I'm really wanting to get into law enforcement and always have primarily to be a part of the drug war. Listening to this guy has really gave me a lot of insight and motivation knowing that you don't necessarily have to go to college which I do not have time to do. To get into it. Thanks Mike
I haven’t listened to this entire episode yet, but I’m a big fan of Jaeson Jones! And of course your podcast too! Always enjoy how in-depth your shows are. Really appreciate learning even more about people & subjects that other shows (though are good too) don’t get into the details you do.
Didn’t think this one would that good but actually loved it. So informative and interesting. Thank you for another great interview. From across the pond.
Just caught up with this episode, I'm a newer subscriber to your podcasts Mike, thank you for your service brother, keep it up, awesome, I have a clear understanding of the border crisis now, very scary, great job
Mike: so what do ya do when they swarm the border? Jeason: well theres use of force training and levels of threat analysis... Mike: so anyways I started blastin...
Very cool podcast. I had the privilege of working a couple of operations with some Rangers and Texas National Guard down near the Terrell and Val Verde county line back in 2009. I was an Intel Agent in the Border Patrol at the time. I was impressed because even the two Ranger Captains were out there humping with us and laying up in different locations all night long. Great information in this show!
I'm curious about what looks like editing at 3:35..... I thought, in other interviews, Mike said there no editing.... I think it was said in the David Rutherford and Lara Logan interviews.... Is Mike Drop being edited now? Also... I've watched several of the Pod Casts and have gain knowledge from what these guys are talking about... It's even been therapeutic hearing since of the guys talk about transitioning back to civilian life. As a kid when my Dad came back from Desert Storm a completely different person it was alerting into adulthood..... Listening to these heros stories ant how they work to better themselves and the struggle it can be to go back to civilian life is helpful and healing. I love how a badass SEAL can make my world better just by spreading knowledge :)
Robin Hankins there is no content editing, if there is a bathroom break or tech glitch, long pause or coughing fit, drink reload etc we edit that out. Content wise- it’s all original
I gave this a thumbs up because of you Mike, and your comments on the state of our sovereignty. Your guest has ideas, and seems to be on the correct side of the fence. But what to do? We need something military. Run by the military, and not LEO. LEO will never have enough uniformity in numbers, or funding to end game these cartels. That's not to say they're not trying. I appreciate the efforts of the people serving at the border and in every front line. Ultimately I'm with you Mike. Let the Darwin awards ceremony begin! Good shit Mike!
Mike made a great point when he was talking about how in shape the State Troopers have to be to get a job as a State Trooper... Mike said he's seen tons of Law Enforcement officers that are badly out of shape... it blows my mind seeing LEO who can't even run for 5 mins. To do that job well you need to be at least in decent shape. Like Jocko said we should be putting more money into the police departments to get better training and gear instead of defunding them.... Give them more training and be in better shape and they would be able to handle situations much better then they do. Like Mike said, he looks at some cops and says "this guy ain't catching no one"
This put a whole new perspective on border security as well as the cartels. You never hear the media tuning in on it. But it is such a big problem. Sounds like more resources need to be exhausted to keep the cartel in check.
There is also a SEAL named Shane with a shaved head, he was video serious "inside the team room" on SOFREP. From what I could gather he specializes in some unique and badass stuff.
The war mission is always changing and I have said this for year's. Change the mission of the tier 1 reserve and guard units to boarder security. Each guard and reserve units have a 2 week AT commitment. Hell if they deployed these units overseas, why not deploy them here on the entire Southern border. South/North Korea, India, China, Israel, Jordan, Pakistan, all secure their borders. The battle doctrine must contain the securing of America, without the ignorant law of no boots on the ground on American soil. This policy is assinine and if changes don't come soon we will lose America.
Any idea of when you are releasing the Air Force SOF episode? A CCT would have some crazy stories, you can never get enough stories of A10's and AC-130 blowing the sandal-wearing to a quick meeting with Allah. PJ's would also have some crazy stories as well, especially those covering the border of Afghanistan and Pakistan, the Korengal Valley, Ramadi, Fallujah, the shahi Kot valley, Takur Ghar just to name a few. I'm sure you know about some crazy stories. There is a book called "Alone at Dawn" that shares some stories of CCT and PJ's that you could reach out to. A-10 pilots, AC-130 sensor operators, and another Apache pilot would be awesome. I'm sure some sensor operators of predator drone may have some unique perspective on crazy mass casualty events and could be a great wealth of sharing the heroic actions of soldiers, sailors, airman, and Marines. I love all of your content and would love to hear more about the AFSOC and attack fixed and rotor-wing. I would think CCT and PJ's would have the most intense and crazy stories. Keep up the great content Mike! I look forward to listening every time I see a new episode!

I’m very pro military and I don’t mean to offend anyone who has served , but imagine if we put the soldiers ,marines and airman who served over seas in Afghanistan and Iraq and put those men and women on the border. I’d feel a lot safer with them on the boarder than overseas in the Middle East .
Yeah my inner child really wants to own up to my podcast ownership it's kind of hard one the beds aren't owning up to federal laws you know legalizing my parents being married now not being the victim sir
Mike. The issue with letting people ruin their lives with drugs is the fact that we, the one's that don't use, have to pay for their treatments. As an ER nurse I've seen many that are on disability for their addiction. It's maddening.
Is there any fucking way we can get ex military involved with boarder security? I can’t think of a better outlet for guys getting out of the military to continue the profession. I don’t understand why talks of any kind of military presence at the border is off limits. Who runs México? Cartels. What stands between them and us? It’s absurd... And on top of that we have migrants on the way coming to a city near you.
Idk if its just me but if ya wanna hit the cartels hard just send in some of these retired Navy Seals or other retired Military . I know its a money thing . drug money employees alot of ppl but enough is enough.
This is the new media/journalism. Thanks for these high quality interviews with true American heroes! 🇺🇸
Glad to finally hear the truth that not politically jaded.
When Navy Seals retire from dominating the war on terror, they dominate the world of podcasting 👍 great show
