My great-grandmother was married at the Church of Saint Jakob in the 1920’s. She always fondly remembered the great castle in the hill even when she was 99 years old. She and my great- grandfather came to the United States in 1926. You can’t understand how special this video is to me, as I don’t know if I’ll ever afford to make it to the place of my ancestors, so thank you so much!
thank you for this wonderful message. Sometimes I feel the effort I put in to make these videos is not really worth it so reading this really makes me very happy. I hope one day you can make it over to Burghausen and see it for yourself. Thanks again for the wonderful comment and I wish you a fantastic friday
The architecture you see for example at 3:30 is called 'Inn-Salzach-Bauweise' and is from the 17th century. All old towns at the Inn and the Salzach river are built like that. The colors were like house numbers in the past. The castle of Burghausen is older.
thank you for the wonderful comment Renata. The weather made for mystical and interesting atmosphere so im very happy to have been there at the right time. Have a fantastic sunday, cheers from barnyz 👍 👍 👍
I recall the thick winter fog in Neu Ulm from so many years ago; your video is a bit nostalgic in that regard. What a wonderful video you've made, once again! The gray sky, thick mist and the bright colors muted by the dim light, all so surreal looking. Well done bro! Amazing work, as is your usual!
thank you :) I much prefer this type of interesting weather to bland blue skies so even though the day had been forecast for heavy rain (which turned out to be mostly patchy light rain) im glad i made the effort to get to such a fascinating spot. Even cooler to be able to wonder freely across a border into another country. Hope you are having an excellent weekend cheers from barnyz 👍 👍 👍
Hello again love to see another great video from you, that place is truely beautiful. I love the streets and that tree path. 😍 Stay blessed and stay connected ✨🌻
thank you for watching and commenting as always. Its a lovely spot and I got lucky with some nice interesting conditions. Have a great week cheers from barnyz 👍 👍 👍
Wow even on a day with low cloud Burghausen looks like such a pretty town. But then Bavaria is beautiful. I love the aerial footage. Have a great day Barnzy, take care - Nettie
This was awesome Barnyz it’s such a beautiful city and the view from Austria is so nice . Love your timelapses you have incorporated. I went on Google earth to see the area I am not well informed about all the beauty there is in that area but I do love the architecture very much and would love to visit Germany and Austria one day . Thanks for this beautiful video and wishing you a wonderful week Serge H&S 👩❤️👨🌈🇨🇦
This place is so beautiful 🤩 love the colours of those buildings and the autumn leaves. The mist created a mysterious atmosphere around the castle and the town🥰 thanks for your wonderful time-lapses and filming👍🏻 very enjoy the video as usual 😉
Very beautiful town, and as usual - great video and the description! We never heard about this place, but now would be very interested to visit😊Thank you for inspiration and wonderful work!🍀
Very beautiful town Barnyz, it looks good from every corner and especially from the hill on the Austrian side. The big castle still has cannonballs-so cool. The opening shot is very nice and the time lapses, just like in the last video are wonderful. Have a great weekend. Cheers from Shawn and Mai.🍻
thank you both. Its a stunning location and the mist made it very atmospheric and moody so i was lucky to visit with such interesting weather. Weather like that is also better for timelapses so i was very happy to have made the effort to reach this location. Hope you are both having an excellent weekend cheers from barnyz 👍 👍 👍
Hello, I'm working for Euronews TV Chanel and I'm interested of this video to illustrate a report filmed at Burghausen. Could we use a few seconds ? Thanks

Maybe it's Heidelberg, Germany? It looks similar to my trip.
