    I just have to say, your pics are ridiculous!!!! You capture everything from the angles you use to expressions on their faces. Your body of work is REALLY good. Just a question, is there a reason why you didn't use flash during the ceremony???

    • @jbivphotography
      @jbivphotography  4 года назад +5

      Thanks for the kind words. So for the ceremony I could have used flash at least when they were walking out. Since at that point they were backlit. The rest of it the lighting in the area was just perfect for a nice almost "creamy" look to the photos. So I think that worked out well. But I just decided not to use flash because I knew I would be fine without it.

      It helps when you have a good sensor where you raise shadows in post processing. With Cripple Canon you have to play safe and use fill in flash.

    Learned a WHOLE lot more than I already knew. I have done about 7 or 8 weddings in the 4 years of doing photography, and although I have done some of the things you were saying to do, I have still listened to your other tips and advice. Amazing shots and thanks for the tips and advice. I will remember to use them the next time I get hired for a wedding. God bless, brother!! Congrats to the happy couple.

    Thanks for sharing this awesome and incredibly detailed content! I have my first wedding as a photographer coming up in January and this has been incredibly helpful to prepare for it.
    On a logistical note, about how many XT3 batteries are you using per camera during a 10 hour day? I plan to buy more before the shoot and wanted to hear your experience with battery life on the XT3 (if the info was in the video and I missed it, sorry about that). Thanks!

    I know you posted this about 3 years ago, so you may or may not see my comment. I just wanted to say thank you for this video. I have watched it probably a dozen times or more and then just some sections. I shot my first wedding yesterday and I put into practice alot of your advice, tips and instructions. As a result shooting my first wedding was a success. After about an hour being there, I started to really get into it and it was awesome. Some hiccups here and there but I overcame them without panicking. And I did indeed use the magmod system throughout the reception. I learned alot shooting this wedding and gained some much needed experience. Now I have to edit the photos and there is alot of them. I scanned through a bunch of them and all in all they look pretty good, some better than others. I will do better next time. And yes I had alot of fun during the reception party as well, I was not a fly on the wall. Thank you again for your videos and the help and knowledge you have provided me. You are an amazing wedding photographer.
