@@RichardPhist1The only blind ones are you Detroit Lions fans. This dude was right, the tripping call should have been on Aiden Hutchinson and that would have sealed the game. Detroit had 2 timeouts left and it would have given Dallas a fresh set of downs 1st and 10. At the least Dallas would have been able to burn at least 80 seconds off the clock leaving Detroit with only 30 seconds and no Timeouts and they would have had to drive the field with no timeouts and maybe at the best have 30 seconds to do it. It took Detroit 1 minute and 10 seconds to drive the field and score the TD to make it a 1 point game, if there was 30 seconds left I doubt they would have done it, just saying. Good game though.

Regardless of whether the Lions communicated correctly about their eligible receiver, the NFL rules do not permit awarding points under the premise of a play that unfolded based on incorrect information communicated to the opposing team. If the officials did not accurately inform the Cowboys about the eligible receiver, the play is considered invalid. The rules are structured to ensure fairness and clear communication, not to provide remedies for what could have happened in different circumstances. Therefore, even if the Lions fulfilled their responsibilities correctly, the points cannot be awarded based on the assumption that the play would have been successful under correct officiating. The integrity of the game and adherence to the rules take precedence over compensating for officiating errors.
