Instead I crazy glued about 1/2 cm of rubber band on the silicone defect and lubricated the switch with WD40. Works great! Thanks much for your helpful video.
I have the same toothbrush. I have my Braun Oral-b for more than 30 years working daily without a flow with the same battery and now I' m facing these symptoms, it goes on and off by itself and the button turned inwards and I have to press it hard. I will do what you say and I am sure I will fix it. Great job! Thank you for sharing!
Thank you so much for creating this video. Just like the other comments you saved my toothbrush! It kept turning itself on and off at odd times regardless of whether the button was pressed. Pretty sure it was a dry joint! Cheers!
Great video, thanks. At first I thought I needed to change the battery, but from your video I learned that I just needed to clean the button. I appreciate it.
Hey I have genius toothbrush and is smelled bad so I soaked the bottom half the handle in sterilising fluid. Had done this with water before no issues. Well this time red light flashes it turned on and off randomly or wouldn't turn on. Was thinking great I lost my job and am currently on prescription toothpaste I cannot be spending on a new one! So took it apart same as here and used air duster and cleaned it (now I know can do this to stop it smelling!) It now works!! Thank you!
My brush has split so it's probably beyond repair. Our old ones died when the batteries wore out but I still have the original charger which has a slot in the back which fits where you used your pliers and makes disassembly easier.
You've just got one more "like" - Truly superb video explaining everything. I will save this link to refer to it again when I get to opening my Braun toothbrush. I would never have thought to unscrew the top end. The bottom end has 4 lugs that look like it needs to be undone there but that was a false lead so I came here and found your excellent demo. Thank you
hows the waterproofing of the toothbrush? is it compromised? do i need a sealant or something or is the o-ring plus the whole chassis enough? thanks btw for the video. mine has a problem that it turns on suddenly by itself
Excelente, gracias a tu vídeo muy bien explicado, pude reparar el botón de mi cepillo. Muchas gracias desde Chile
my toothbrush had delay response whenever i click the button & i tried this, it's finally working fine now. thank u sir!

Thx, this fixed my toothbrush. I already guessed it was the button. But was unsure of how to open it.

❤ My toothbrush works great and I have lots of spare heads so it a shame not to fix it. Thanks so much! This helps to save the planet too!😊
2023 and I just used this video! Cheers! I used JB Water Weld to make the button have strength again. Worked like a charm!

If you have the partno/serialno for the microswitch so I can by a replacement I would be grateful ❤

So what if it’s on and won’t turn off? *distant toothbrush noises*
I wish you would’ve told us how to get the toothbrush off?
A plain toothbrush to fix an electric toothbrush.
Ok but I'm scared to break it and doing this breaks the warranty

Don’t wash the motor part of your toothbrush that’s why this problem happens
alcohol dries very quickly
We don't want cleaning training 😡👎
