I have a God tier K04 build in my driveway. 83mm bore, IE pistions, IE rods, mhale bearings, IE springs, Ferra valves, ARP studs, CTS K04, CTS intake, CTS outlet and throttle pipes, IE manifold, CTS TBE, ECS catch, IE K04 tune, IE DSG tune and IE manifold tune. Suspension Silvers NeoMax coilovers, SuperPro f/r sway bars, SuperPro f/r endlinks. Braking slotted StopTech rotors, StopTech lines, EBC pads. Still have a goodampunt of work to do, but I have almost finished up.
Dang, that's quite the mods list! Just curious why you went with a K04 instead of a bigger turbo?
@StockDC2 I built a DC2 and a DC4 way back. Anyway, I had actually just bought the K04 less than 1 year prior to the engine failing in February this year. Had an injector fail in #4 and fuel wash the engine. I just hot it back about 3 months ago. I will be going big turbo late next year for sure. It's built to handle 700hp. I'll need to upgrade my HPFP, LPFP, injectors and turbo to unleash the full potential of the build. Im tapping 26-28 psi on hard pulls and running around 24 psi regularly.

how does that oil catch can work in that location it looks like its a better spot please explain!
Instead of passing the oil straight into the inlet manifold it goes into the catch can takes the oil and then to the inlet manifold reducing the carbon build up on the valves. Hope this helps!

Weird how it actually feels really different when your sitting in the passenger seat compare to being behind the wheel right.

I have worked & FBO K04 swapped Mk6 GTi myself.
With stratified pro tune , extra 5th fuel injector FMIC with sprayer, E30 tune & water method injection

I haven’t worked it out. I have decided to just cope without the heated seats!

@@aidencleary62 i have a DSG aswell. Its fast and sounds better then manual but i agree that manual is more fun to drive.

What about the gen 3 ea888 early vehicles come with 4 extra mpi's on the intake manifold to reduce the carbon build up
