Appreciate playing the same song for both of them plugged and unplugged. Drives me crazy when people demo two different guitars with two different songs.
This guitar is great. I had a chance to play one at GC, and it sounded amazing. No buzz, and it was surprisingly very easy to play. It actually played better than every other acoustic guitar on the floor, especially in terms of sustain, and some of those guitars cost twice as much. I went back to GC the next week because I had to have it, but they were all sold out.
I have a mahogany road series and I tried out at least 6 different brands in the same price range. The Martin just had a sound that couldn’t be beat and the ease of playing blew me away. It’s like the guitar was made to be played by anyone and everyone. It’s so easy to just pick up and play. I’d put it against any guitar on the market without thinking twice about it
Is the first recording of 000-10e without any amp? To me this sapele top sounds crisper than mahogany, even closer to sitka than hog. I like it :) Expecting my very own 000-10e in 3 weeks
writereducator I have it for 8 months already and now I can definitely say that it has become my no1 guitar. It is sooo comfortable and the tone leaves you wanting more. I cannot put it down. The only downside is that it not very loud when fingerpicked. When strummed it can really boom. Love it! At first I was a bit bothered by the fact that fingerboard is richlite but that was just an elitist sentiment and not a realistic downside. Now, I am really pleased with richlite. No sharp frets, easy to clean,...
Nice demo. I have a 000-10e and love it. I am disappointed with the Piezo pick-up so hoping to fit an LR Baggs Anthem in shortly. I'm curious about which strings were used for this recording?
Both of these guitars have beautiful tone. I prefer the first model over the second, the second one's tone is a bit too bright for my taste. I recently purchased a Fender Newporter, which plays well, but does not have the tone of these guitars. The problem that I have with guitars is that if you purchase an electric guitar, it is so much easier to play, but you won't get these beautiful harmonics on a Stratocaster. On the other hand, the stock strings on most acoustic guitars are too thick and too hard to work with. I'm still trying to find that happy medium. Maybe these models are the answer.
Not a big fan of the Newporter. Very dull tone in my opinion. If you can get your hands on a Yamaha FS 820 I think you'd like it. Under $300 Solid guitar for the price.
It's a matter of your own taste, and what you want to do with these guitars. To my ear, the D-12E in this demo, sounds more like the Martin's X2-E, & X2CE, series, the X2's, which have a more subtle, rich, and sweet tone, like a pancake cooked just right. The D-10E sounds just as good, but different, it's a bit brassier, tinnier, louder, and more full. Not any better or worse, just different. The latter is great for some rock songs, solo, or in a band, playing the backing guitars, on stage or in studio. I think the D-12, or X2, sound is better for a full solo set, as it's something people have to listen closer to, but it's rich & deep, and rewarding. On the other hand, if you're backing a band, in a song, in the background, you might want the D-10, since it's louder, but can blend in nicely, but if you're going to do a solo set, or a small group performance, you might want the D-12, as it requires listeners to gradually notice the subtle, nice tones, in a quieter setting. It's a0 lot to consider, but they are both quality guitars, that likely won't disappoint you, if you use them the right ways. If you're just playing by yourself, it's a matter of your own taste, and what sound you like best. I like them both, and if you can afford it, you can buy both, and have two options, for different situations. Can't go wrong with Martin workmanship, it will last a long time, and the re-sale value will be excellent, easy to re-sell them, if you decide you don't like them, or need the extra money. If you keep them, they might keep you happy, with the nice music they'll make.
The guitars sounded fine acoustically. Did not like the pickup/amplified sound at all - especially when strummed. When strummed the sound broke up and had a distorted tone. It's a shame you cannot buy these guitars without a pickup system and then you could choose a superior pickup system to install and get these guitars sounding great when plugged in!
Unless you are planning on plugging in or using a mic, I'd stay away from the 10E. Good overall tone but extremely low volume output. It would be good for someone who lives in an apt or someone who plays late at night and doesn't want to wake his family.
This is a spot on comment. I have both the Spruce and Sapele versions of the Djr 10e and the spruce sounds better to my ears. It projects better and sounds more articulate as well. Sapele does not sound bad, just different. No matter what model, the Sapele will probably have lower volume comparatively.
Tonality on the 10E is great. The problem is the volume output when played without a mic or plugged in. Calling it wimpy would be kind. Fingerpicking is a joke. Cowboy chords sound nice. Barre chords pretty good.

My 000rs1 sounds sweet and warm. The scale length and nut width are just right, too
Martin is making the best guitars they ever have since 1833!
No other sounds as sweet.
Ну да 😂 а furch ,boucher?

Is this the dreadnought or orchestra model?
000 i mean

Sorry. Sapele version not mahogany
That's a a Martin for you.
Beautiful sounding guitar ..forget about the cost ..gorgeous
Beautiful. You really don’t need to spend over $2k or so to get a quality guitar anymore.
So true ..beautiful guitar under a £1000 Those Taylor’s to GS mini .Academy ..
Beautiful acoustics! Ring like bells!

I hope you're enjoying it and playing it every single day!
Tell us your thoughts about your 000 10 E!

@@metalrunner4398 is the action super easy?
@@juana1483 it is a typical Martin action so not too low. I usually don’t like too low action on my acoustics. But it is very playable.

beautifull , thank you greetings Maria
Why not compare to 000-12E?
I like 24.9" scale for a 000.

Solid guitar for the price.
Love this !! 😊
Certainly sounded like the needle and the damage done. Without a doubt my favorite song by Neal Young, specifically the live version.
It's 'Neil' not Neal and it sounds nothing like Needle and the Damage Done. ... More like the beginning of Steve Winwood - Can't Find My Way Home.
which is the best, D-10E or D-12E?

The 00010E sounded in the first clip a little out of tune or is that my ears deceiving me ?
Eb711 new strings maybe lol
G string maybe a bit flat.
Nope

I see a black cord. I think there is an amp somewhere.
Unless you are planning on plugging in or using a mic, I'd stay away from the 10E.

Sounds ok but something is off. Strange frequency overtones. Or the strings are wrong. Maybe too new slightly out of tune as well.
Why your bass haves 6 strings, strange
Sounds terrible...More proof that sapele is NOT mahogany. Far too bright for a player seeking that hog sound.
What we're you listening it on?
Sounds fantastic with quality headphones 👌
Perfectly balanced, no muddiness.
Must disagree sounds beautiful and sweet ..treble is so rich and rounded ....lovely guitar ..
I have one and it is mellow. Suggest like below you have to listen with cans
Just an hog elitist who can not accept there are other wood types for guitar top. 000 10e is a great guitar
