From a time when no one had a cell phone, and no one could bring a film camera into a concert, these captured moments are rare. I remember this show well. I remember Steven Tyler could barely remember his lyrics, probably a bit inebriated. I remember seeing Vixen for the first time. It was the last time I saw Dio live. And, of course, Whitesnake. I had a chance to meet David Coverdale a few years later in Nevada and chat about this show.
Personally, I'm not fond of David's singing voice here, or anywhere after 1987. I have no idea what he was thinking, but he was trying to be something he isn't. He sounds like he's being strangled.
He had terrible flu during the Monsters of Rock tour of Europe. Another fun fact for ya. The "1987" album was actually supposed to come out in 1986 however Coverdale had to have sinus surgery which affected his singing and power after.

Disgusting. Coverdale is a real catastrophy.
He was fighting a flu that whole leg of the tour.
