I'm going through hell right now. She is gone. I dont know where. Greg Dulli has always been a lighthouse of sorts...if that makes any sense. I have been listening to Dulli non-stop since my wife left with him last month. Thank God I have this music.
I completely understand. Ever since I discovered Dulli, he has basically saved my life on a number of occasions and sometimes I can't get through the day without his music. Especially when I'm thinking about how much I miss her. He has a way with words that turns my sadness and pain into something else that is so much more pleasant but I can't really describe it with words... I also love that he is the savior of misbehavior.
it's a cover from the Canadian synthpop band Desire... but it was no bonus on the Belgian Dynamite Steps album... it seems it has been released on a limited edition with on the b-side the Dulli-version of 'Ballad of Pure Thought' from Tim Vanhamel's Millionaire
Thanks for that info! I didn't know it was a cover... Dulli always kills it with his cover songs. That album "she loves you" is gold. I cover some Dulli songs on my channel. In hoping to see him in Asheville on October 1st. Hands down the best musician in the game, in my opinion. All I listen to really is Dulli's stuff and synthwave. Not similar at all but soo good.
What a haunting, beautiful piece of music. The piano accompaniment gives me chills everytime I listen...
This is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard.
Neltah 9 From Outer Space seriously

Any better after these five years?

This song was AMAZING live.
Gave me goosebumps at the London gig... and doing it again now. Great song!
This echos all things from a heart broken...
You're gone and, babe, that's a good thing
I'm still here and looking for something
To come along, to come along
I know, I know, we both say the same things
I don't care, I don't care about winning
So don't call, don't call, to talk about nothing
So many times I waited for you
I figured it out and now we're through
I won't give up, I won't give in
I know, I know, we both say the same things
I don't care, I don't care about winning
So don't call, don't call, to talk about nothing
You're gone and, babe, that's a good thing
I've spent my days working for something
We don't give up, we don't give in
I know, I know, we both say the same things
I don't care, I don't care about winning
So don't call, don't call, to talk about nothing
You're gone
You're gone
You're gone and, babe, that's a good thing
BEST SONG off his output this year, no doubt.
'Dynamite Steps', still album of the year, here, no doubt.
'Nuff sed.
I love both versions of the song, but Dulli's rendition of this song always brings me to tears. Idk this song just hurts, you can feel it.
