Great video! After looking at a few different harps I saw that some designs come with a magnetic ball that goes inside the trigger loop so I thought I’d try it.
My Vlad Space harp doesn’t have a space for a magnet in the trigger loop. I found some tiny coin shaped rare earth magnets on Amazon that allow me to detune to G1 from A#1 (it’s normal pitch) with one magnet and down to E1 with two. Success!
PSA: Obviously you need to keep such tiny strong magnets away from small children and pets.

You can also use Solder to tune note. That is what I do to my harps.

Excellent, I would never thought of beeswax. I am just learning the jaw harp and only have one at the moment and like the temporary solution

For a temporary (but very low) drop, I stick a small neodymium magnet just below the ball on the trigger (I don't know what it's called). It sounds crazy cool in my opinion, kind of like a growl almost.

I believe id just prefer to just pay a professional like you five bucks to tune a jawharp instead of doing it myself.
But it does raise a question of curiousity, how far can you change the pitch? Meaning could you go from like an f2 to G3?

Hello Jamie, how are you? My question is about saliva build up while playing with my harp. Especially playing for a long time. Is this normal?

The more you think about it and try to prevent it the more it seems to happen. I would suggest this. Do not drink sugary or flavored beverages while playing. If it starts to happen embrace it as an ability and not a flaw. You can get some really cool sounds as it happens.
