Spent so many nights listening to this on my way to Firestone and the Edge in the mid 90's. It was such a great scene with great people and complete craziness.
Kimball was right up there with the big names like Sasha, Digweed, Jimmy Van M, Chris Fortier. Anyone reading this that was part of the 90’s Orlando scene-thank you for making it such a memorable, special experience. You are all beautiful souls, everyone from all races, sexual orientation etc came together and united.❤
Believe it or not... I have been to Orlando in just those days (92-96) and we partied down at the Edge and Barbarellas etc... The Firestone! Even Renaissance :D Now I have moved back to Finland where I'm from. I am almost 50 years of age and this music still kicks me! It is not just party anymore. At the 9 minute mark until the beat drop at 11:49 may be one of the most perfect buildups in music history. Calling the beginning of this mix legendary is a crazy underestimate. It was life in the early/mid 90's in central Florida. But then we discovered breaks .. And the whole machine lost its wheels and we were along for the ride. Happily.
This was a featured CD at Sam Goody back in 1994. I purchased it and used to play the hell out of this. I still listen to some of the tracks here & there, the Union Jack track being my favorite.
I visited Orlando in the summer of ‘96. Bought the CD, but lost it many moons ago back in Denmark. Glad that it’s uploaded to RUclips. Brings back memories.

Back in 94 I was hitting Edge, seeing Sasha as a house DJ at Firestone and hanging out at Ultra Violet at their various locations. Marz after hours at Zuma Beach was good too. Crazy times and fun memories.

The first track 2 fill moons and a trout pretty much sat on the top of most trance dj's play list in that era including myself the buildup at the end of the track is insane, that's why I think Kimball used it to start the mix And Platipus Records had my bank account number linked, I pretty much bought all their releases in the late 90s
for those who knew Union Jack were gods! Rabbit in the Moon and Icey could do no wrong. All the DJ's who spun at Simons The Edge Firestone etc were top notch pushing new music at a time when it was still very underground! Being a part of it at that time cannot be described. It's just a feeling that you know if you were there! PLUR!
pssst, there has been an AAhz reunion party with Dave and Kimball at the old Beecham Theatre every Wednesday before Thanksgiving for the last 7 years or so (pre-covid). I imagine it will start again, perhaps this year :)

We had this Cd series in Canada. Love. Not many people knew, understood, or cared about this music, or any other genre in the Electronic scene, but, me & my friends knew. Where I grew up isn't a significant place at all. The scene we had was small, but, it was ours. I've never been to a big party like the ones in Europe and some clubs in the U.S, but thanks to the 2 music stores that carried Electronic music, I got exposed to it ❤🎶🎶🎶🤘🏻🤘🏻

I went to Kimball's birthday/performance at The Beacham Theater in Orlando around 93. It was wild....walk into the place around 3 am and there is a jazz trio in tuxedos playing before he kicked off his set.

Man people say this is a deep trance set, it's not trance. This is a progressive house set. This set is mid to late 90's progressive house. Not trance.
This 1994 mix is EXACTLY why I completely stopped listening & enjoying house music, progressive house, trance, techno, break-beat and the traditional Top-40 commercial rave movement by late 1993. In November 1993 I was going every single weekend to MADHOUSE in Daytona Beach FL to listen and hangout with The Hard Science cru (Redcoat, Shadowfax, Jedi) and DJ Jeffee from Miami. Those were THEE BEST times of my life...hands down. I got sick & tired of seeing 100% of all the nightclubs who threw rave parties let underage girls in. I can't tell you how many times I've seen 14 & 15yr old girls high on drugs at every single one of those rave parties. I met a 13yr old girl blowing TF up, rolling her face off at The Edge and a 16yr old at Aahz. SICKENING! All those DJ's were and are predators. I hope they all have STD's and their life is garbage now.

Anthony Young... Platipus was king for much of the 1990’s trance. Simon Berry is still very relevant today in 2019!

This reminds me of driving to SF in the late 90s. I went to all the raves, clubs and massives... Before it was mainstream. Those nights were insane.
