This is very much the norm for children brought up in the West by Malayali parents. They speak Malayalam natively at home with their parents, and English natively with everyone outside of home, so it's easy for them to seamlessly switch back and forth. It's interesting how people from Kerala are so astonished by this.
He’s studied in PSG College of arts and sciences in Coimbatore, as I belong to the same year and same college and had seen him in college several times, he used to wear baggy clothes and was almost half of his current size right now, skinny and short with an American accent, he was friends with one of my friend from that Malayali group.
@@Palashvadnere Inside the college I doubt, cause the campus is super intolerant of ragging and would ban you from continuing studies anywhere in the world if found guilty, yes, may be outside the campus where the student lived in rented accommodation he might have been bullied, can’t confirm.
@merylsani6877 btw wrong feed wrong reply. I was referring to the presenters who we’re obsessing about his accent. I find his switch technique quite effortless and natural which is to his credit. Sorry there. But those presenters are really a pain.
This guy is a philosopher in a rappers guise, his insight into life is worth listening to... very balanced perspective. Also he comes off way more mature than the interviewers... they kept dumbing stuff down while he kept elevating the conversation to the next level. Glad to have found this though.
True. The interviewers want to act more cool and american sadly with that malayalam accent than the rapper himself!!! Hanumankind wants to be grounded as he speaks whilst the interviewers are trying badly to use some stupid slangs and bad jokes ( they are laughing on their own jokes ) and of course bad english.
bro just started off a couple years back and is now going viral. thats power. been checking literally ALL of his work out, dude's effortlessly nailing it!

Idk what’s up with people saying his accent is American but his accent here is barely American. It’s kinda neutral, IYKWIM. A mix of many accents which makes sense given his life story. In the song, he definitely switched it up which clearly worked out. Happy for him & his success!🎉
Im guessing you dont live in the west.he most definitely has an American accent.there are actually dozens of different american accents depending on which usa state you live in.Americans all sound different from each other based on which state they’re from
@@HarryFromTheNorthSide I’m aware that language & accent changes with states & districts. All I’m saying is that the accent he’s using in this interview isn’t heavily American. You can clearly hear the years spent in Middle East & a touch of Indian/Malayalam accent which makes it clearer to the Indian ear. It’s beautiful. At least to me, in this interview, he doesn’t sound like a person born & raised exclusively in Texas.
@@Jooniper56I noticed that too. I live in the southern portion of the U.S. not Texas though. I can hear a mixture, like certain things he says you can hear a slight middle eastern accent, Indian accent, southern US accent. He moved to the U.S. at an age where he would have lost most of his original accent but old enough to where some of it might stay. So I’m not surprised
What a level up to the whole channel. My muthafuckin guy just blew up the whole podcast. I love you sharan for bringing in the right people. I honestly tried watching all of your podcast at one go but I couldn’t unfortunately but if you keep this guy for rest of all your podcasts, I might be here forever.
Perfect place to be at if you have a slightest of a impulse to know about HMK(Great job guys). Watched it all. It's mind boggling that it came out before Big Dawg's, so now what. The amount of fame and praise he is getting now for being the absolute gem of a singer/rapper/performer he is, it should definitely put him in top spots of the industry (Well deserved).
Great interview guys, loved it. I do have a comment about the high-budget and low-budget scenarios that you guys talked about. For me, it doesn't matter if you have a high-budget or low-budget project as long as I am trying to tell an original story. A low-budget music video can also feel clinical if you are not telling an original story. So shooting a High-budget music video doesn't take originality from the projects it's all about the story you want to share and at the same time it can mean bringing other creatives to the project like a production designer, makeup artist, wardrobe, gaffer, grips and other creative technicians and working together as a team to bring the vision of the artist to life. Love to see more interviews like these ❤
Thank you so much for the pod ... Which is not a pod 😂... Really wanted to know about this amazing artist Hanumankind... Got to know about him through this interview .. much love to you all ❤🎉✊🤘😎
1:11:50 Sooraj just said *Skyline* was his favorite song/video (which is great to hear). Interesting he didn't remember it when he was originally asked at 53:30 and that it only came to him as he was recalling the love of collaborating to create videos (a few moments after discussing keeping focused on life's purpose). Abstract stuff like "favorite video"? No recall. Recalling the warmth and joy of creating great art with friends? Bingo. 💖

The best this about this dude is that he is 💯 himself. Generally in India ( especially once you begin getting attention ), people put up a lot of shows.
Respect that he cared so much for his mother tongue Malayalam and took it as a task to learn it after spending most of his teenage in US.

I did not think an indian rapper would mention Lupe Fiasco its a testament to how this dude is Legit hiphop head.
