- In this episode, we discuss what to do when you can no longer maintain your reef tank’s calcium, alkalinity, and magnesium levels with just water changes and dosing kalk. Should you go with a calcium reactor or dosing pump? We’ll share which is best for your tank based on long-term cost, effort on your part, tank size, and, most importantly, whether or not you’re a reef junkie!

How would you control your Calcium Reactor when using a Trident System?
Cheers mark always love your vids straight to the point 😀👍🏴
Hey sir can I ask you do my saltwater aquarium Redsea 34gallons 170 calcium reactor..
I got a calcium reactor even on a 55 gallon tank I'll never sep up a tank without one
Sir I need your help I have 170 Redsea 34gallons how much I need dosing I alot of soft corals and Acropora corals... is that true more dosing inside my tank I do by hand
No one can answer that question without knowing your levels today and again in 7 days.
Is magnesium released by a calcium reactor or just alk cal and trace elements
Normal calc reactor media does release a small amount, and if you want it to add more there is special medial specifically formulated to add magnesium.
Great video! I will give myself a pat on the back since I made it this far in reefing to have to get a calcium reactor setup. I currently dose on my Red Sea Peninsula 650 (first time dosing btw).
