I lived in Japan and once I got out of the Navy, I made sure to bring this experience back with me. For those of you who are interested but maybe don't want to buy a whole toilet, Look into Brondell or Toto Washlet's. They are essentially a toilet seat that has many of these features. I have owned 3. In my opinion, the Toto has more features that you might not need and the Brondell models were a bit better for my situation. Also, great content Jane! keep it up!

I kinda wish that toilets like these could operate off of just 1 water supply line, but this is probably to isolate the heated water from the flush water. Also requires an electrical outlet (hopefully GFCI protected), and we only have one of those in the main bathroom, the other one doesn't!

Well, see, I'm talking about the whole house. I don't think the wiring has changed since 1960, and there's no actual earth ground in any of the outlets. And the breakers aren't labeled, so I'd have to go and figure out which outlets go to which circuit breaker. I'm sure I can do it over a weekend with the proper tools and big spool of Romex...

Trying to get an idea if this toilet will still fit, I'm OK with it being a little tight to the wall. There is a sale 20% off coupon in the video description. Also, I plan to make a video on how to install an outlet near the toilet. I installed an outlet in mine in 15 minutes.

Talk about unintended consequences! I found the perfect solution for my pet wash. My cat will thank you too. Warm water and a blowdryer? Oh yeah lol

Does it help women who forget to put the lid down? ❤

Living in Japan, most toilets were too smart for their own good, and I still haven't used most of the options because I'm scared 😅

Interesting! I always thought installing a new toilet was something super difficult to do and that only a professional plumber could really do it. I'm surprised at how easy it seems. Also, I hope the lid automatically closes because I have a cat that is obsessed with sitting on the toilet and he doesn't care if the lid is open or closed. I would be concerned that every time he jumped off of the toilet seat, the toilet would automatically flush.

I like the concept but I just feel like what happens if something breaks. The toilet is so simple to fix. I don’t know about the smart toilet.

I assume this toilet clogs easily. I have never met a toilet I couldn’t clog. All the drain diameters are too small and they don’t have a powerful enough flush.
I need one of the large commercial toilets.
