Melinda Doolittle IS great. A very charming and attractive lady. Unassuming with a warm personality. Always a compelling and comfortable delivery, always well prepared. Truly a joy to watch and listen to. AND we can hear every word. Time will say she IS one of "The all-time greats"

He too connected with his fans. Millions around the world adored (and still do) his music and loved the man. Already, you have fans that adore your music, and love YOU.
Melinda is so likeable...!! She communicates so well with her audience. Of course too, having this "X-Factor" makes her performances so much more endearing. Looking forward to your first (and many) album, Melinda.
Can't vote in American Idol but I'll vote later by buying her CD when released. That girl will be dynamite in the industry and have great staying power. No need for silly dance moves, she has a God-given instrument that she fully controls and she sings with passion and intelligence.
I actually never have listened to the studio version of Doolittle's performance before but she did a decent but spectacular job that night eight 1/2 years ago. My excitement for The Wiz Live on NBC this December brought me here.
For me, Melinda Doolittle was different to any other contestant that has so far appeared on American Idol. Not only does she have a Sweet Voice and Magical Delivery... she is the "Finished" Pro. All others have had Potential only. And whilst most are finding it difficult to live up to that potential, I feel, like a good wine, Melinda is going to mature even more as time goes by...!!
I love Stephanie Mills, but this young lady has an even richer voice. Love everything about her!! She can sing anything like she wrote it. No doubt the best Idol contestant ever!!
All Top 12 idols went into the studio each week after performing and recorded a full version of their song. You could buy each song on the AI website for 99 cents. They are gone now but you can still download them on web blogs.
Vive la difference. For example. Whitney, Celine, Gladys, Tina, Shirley, Mahalia, Joan ... Nat, Frank, Dean, Ray, Glen, Johnny, Andrea... are all differently blessed Singer-Entertainers. Melinda, American Idol has shown you too are a blessed Singer-Entertainer. One favour? Be like Nat... try different genre. For starters, I would like you to do a Country Collection sometime soon. Bon voyage.
