    You have taken the scare or hesitation out of making candles! I’ve watched videos for daysssss and I was ready to give up on moving forward. I found you about 3 hours ago and I’m EXCITED again and ready to purchase the other products needed. So many candle markers are not as willing to give recipes jar sizes and wicks. THANK YOU! 🥰

    A couple questions: what’s the best way to clean your melting pot and utensils after use?
    Also, why do you let them cure for two weeks?

    • @earthglow
      @earthglow  2 года назад +1

      Thank you for watching, Brandyn!
      I generally clean my containers in a utility sink with dish soap and water and then I leave them on a stainless steel rack (separate from my dishes) to dry. For cleaning out the presto pot, you can put it on a *very* low setting for about half a minute or even less and take a paper towel to wipe out any residual wax.
      Two weeks is a good rule-of-thumb to obtain the most mature hot throw from soy wax but you certainly can try burning them sooner than this. I’d recommend waiting at very least 3 days after making. For some fragrances though, waiting the full two weeks (or sometimes even a month!!) is helpful to experience a mature hot throw from soy wax. I know it can be hard!!!

    Is it normal to have rippling across a soy candle top? Also have a hairline crack next to the wooden wick. Maybe I’m pouring too hot?
