Dont get me wrong, i love my filthy dubstep , but you just dont get the super special unearthly tunes like this as you do in drum and bass, well you do, but they are much rarer. Tunes like this that just take your breath away

Billain, sometimes, takes years to make his music, mainly because the projects are so fucking epically huge, but almost every sound must be unique and have his own stamp. Being original and making his own mark are important to him. There needs to be interest technically, as well as musically. Billain and Noisia have similar techniques in the fact that they'll make samples and have folders filled with their own sounds, but Noisia do it as a way to quickly lay down ideas. Billain seems to work off of making sounds musically fit together, that originally had no context, or deliberate musical usage.

btw it's just very inspiring to see how he progresses tune by tune, his sound is always developing towards some kind of undiscovered territory of dark techy sci-fi neurofunk drum and bass
@DevilPasha i disagree, regardless of being 'commercial' or not, dubstep IS a sub-genre of dnb, there isn't any form that you could say is just dnb, it will always be put into a sub category. i.e. liquid, neurofunk, atmospheric, drumstep and yes, DUBSTEP, with all the rest. its neither a good thing nor a bad thing, its just the way it is. DNB is the mother of all !!!!!!
@SgtDubstep92 Dubstep isn't a subgenre of anything, dubstep is dubstep, it was inspired by 2 step garage and dub reggae, but it's become it's own genre now. Neuro is better though, I agree.
That theory is called 'Cause Proxima' mate. According to that theory, you could also say that Dubstep is a subgenre of people hitting rocks with sticks 5000 years ago.
