Brokers provide you a service and they are free to charge you what they think is appropriate for that service. If you don't like then don't book the load. Being a broker is hard just as hard as being a truck driver. As a broker you have to meet with shipping managers and sell a service. That means you have to be good at sales. If you think being a broker is easy and you think its easy to make money as a broker then why don't you be a broker? I'd be willing to bet that the problem isn't the broker it's probably your cost of operation. So instead of blaming the broker for "Stealing 80% of the customers money" or whatever why don't you fix your cost of operation. I promise if you can lower your cost of operation you'll net more profit. Pro tip use a calculator.

      The loadboards should be for shippers and carriers period. Brokers own no assets they're just the middle man charging a high premium for their service, I don't even know why the FMCSA came out with the smart idea to provide authorities to freight brokers so they can become the middle man and manipulate the market and to set their own rules for example like carrier411 which is a stupid website where all the stupid brokers go to share trash information about carriers that they don't like and trucking companies cannot even defend themselves about their complaints defenetly they're in control of the market but not for long.

    Good Evening, I've said this before many times on your channel, I started in 96' just for some perspective. I would never I mean never get into trucking now in any capacity, whether it be a company driver or owner operator, the sacrifice vs risk vs reward just isn't there anymore.
    Until ALL DRIVERS are willing to stand up and take a stand once and for all, trucking will never change, we have allowed egregious regulations and corporate greed to ruin a great industry, however we do have the power to take it back; we all understand what that means (go home and stay home for awhile.)
    Why not pick a time like the week prior to labor day and the week after Labor Day, in business the only way people are motivated to do anything is when something is taken from them, the takeaway has and will always be the best close in any business.
    Stay safe.

    I went 2 years no inspections even asked for them i was laughed at. I was refused good loads because of it only 3. It angered me but i figured out how to turn it around. On the last blitz i went into wyoming port of entry on Colorado/Wyoming border side even though i got by-passed and an inspector was outside I made eye contact and said I am ready. He said well ok. He went inside and did something then came back and we started it. I passed no issues was pretty happy to get those 2 stickers one for truck 1 for trailer. At some point he asked what I was doing because I was by-passed I said oh well it's blitz week I thought it was mandatory no matter what to get inspected. LOL. It worked out great for me. Funny thing is I havent moved the truck since that day. I dh home and parked since. My MC now shows passed inspection so now i just need the market to turn around maybe this time next year if trump is in it will be. For reference usually when i pull into this port on either side of Wyoming I usually only have to bring in my book and license or get the light to keep it moving. By parking and catching an inspector outside I feel like it increased my chances for one. It's possible this could have backfired on me or got me into some kind of trouble or upset the inspector IDK but he was nice and i finally got an inspection. May 16th 2024.

      For three years I could not get a roadside DOT Inspection. We went into weigh stations and were told, drivers cannot ask for inspections. I called the Ohio DOT Troopers in my area, they said they were short on inspectors. I went into rest areas where the DOT motor carrier enforcement was setup many times. I talked to Troopers about how I was getting turned down from loads, and going broke. They don't care. I called the Ohio PUCO, they said they don't get involved with inspections. At the weigh stations, they laughed at me, saying "you can't make us". I can't believe their attitude now. They don't care. None of the Troopers, are actually authorized to do any Police business anyway, because none of them have registered their fictitious Uniform name label names with the Seccretary of State. Truckers need to get an Assumed Name Certificate asap, from Minnesota only for $50.00. This gives you legal and good standing.

      @JAleksandr Месяц назад +1

      There are but when you have so many trucks sitting those people are also looking into the “niche” stuff then start saturating that market. As someone that has always worked in “niche” stuff (125k #’s+, custom livestock haul, custom ag…) I’ve been fighting these trucks jumping in. Problem is quite a few after causing rate drops due to capacity/volume changes they cause other issues such as failing to be able to perform properly causing rate drops due to avg performance drops and increase in insurance requirements because they are screwing things up. Dealing with that as I head into this At season…last years rates got dropped by 25% because more trucks are trying to get involved and because so many $h!t drivers were damaging product the receivers now are aggressively inspecting all and causing what used to be 2 hour dock times to now we are at 5-7…as 100% of my time is ag exempt during this season we try and run as hard as we can to make as much as we can in a short time frame. 2 hrs to load 3.5-4 hours drive up 2 hrs unload 3.5-4 back and re-roll was the norm, now we’re making less than half what we should for the work. Me and the rest of my guys are just waiting for the majority of the people that have no business in this industry to finally go bankrupt, give up, and get the fck out so those of us that have our $h!t together and everything paid off can get back to making proper money. Don’t mean to sound like such a harsh JA, but I’m beyond tired of the at least 30% of people in this industry that have absolutely no business in it. That includes company driver, leasers, o/o, dispatch agents, brokers, broker/carriers, carriers small/big/mega. To everyone that got in for the right reasons and are really striving to be in this industry with quality work ethic, morals and integrity I really do wish you the best and hope you weather this well as most of us that have been here for decades have overcome our adversities with this industry…to everyone else gfd and I hope you find something else that gives you proper purpose…now that my diaper rash has thoroughly flared I’ll go take care of that….

Most truck Carriers are in a bind and on the verge of Crashing and Burning 🔥 or Bankruptcy; all because they can’t afford High Dollar Professional Drivers anymore, Actually that goes for any job. It seems that in order to make it as a new carrier or returning carrier is to go right for direct freight. With that, you will probably need a couple of trucks and trailers. Enough trailers to drop at your customers. If you must use a load board, only for your back hauls. With these new broker requirements I would not attempt to be a new 1 truck buck.
