  • (May 2014) Toward the end of his visit to Israel and the Palestinian Authority this weekend, Pope Francis and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu discussed the language Jesus spoke.
"Jesus was here, in this land. He spoke Hebrew," Netanyahu told Francis according to quotes reported by Reuters.
"He was speaking Aramaic," the pope replied with a smile, according to the Associated Press.
"He spoke Aramaic, and he also knew Hebrew," Netanyahu corrected.

That's a perversion. The Bible says "Prove all things." And you did not follow this command. Do you even know how to prove a thing? Stop regurgitating what you've been told and start thinking for yourself.
This perversion is SO PERVERSE that you even CHANGE "Hebrew" in Acts 16 to "Aramaic" when Jesus speaks to Paul. But Paul was a pharisee of pharisees. The only language he would have respected or expected from God is Hebrew.
What would you call yourself if you believed blatant nonsense? Do you not know the punishment for changing God's words?

Acts 26:13 At midday, O king, I saw in the way a light from heaven, above the brightness of the sun, shining round about me and them which journeyed with me. 14 And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks. 15 And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest. 16 But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee; 17 Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee, 18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.

There is always one truth based on facts. All of the comments are not true. First, Hebrew is not an authentic language. To claim that Hebrew is a language is to claim that a non-native speaker like an Indian for instance invented the English language. Hebrew people spoke a language they learned from phoenicians called the PHOENICIAN language. To set the record straight, there is no such language named Hebrew. There are Hebrew people speaking phoenician from old times and revived it in the 19thc trying to modify its name into paleohebrew sometimes and old Hebrew at other times. This is the first point that needed clarification. As what concerns which language Jesus spoke, his native language is phoenician. The language that inhabitants of Kanaan lands kept speaking back in those times, despite the recurrent Persian and Greek invasions, is Phoenician. Though it was weakened by those invasions, however, children still learn it from their parents. Then, Jesus speaks Phoenician innately. What further confirms this is that higher Galilea region belongs to the Phoenician city of Tyre. Mary, Jesus mother, had four Kanaanite Phoenician siblings in her family and was born in Phoenicia which is South Lebanon today. Another proof for this is the research made by Dr. KARIM KOUSSA which he documented in his book in 2012 named: JESUS the PHOENICIAN based on DNA research . Regarding whether Jesus spoke Aramaic or Greek, in his human nature, Jesus used to speak the franca lingua Aramaic beside his native Phoenician language as stated before. But as God, he is the creator of human beings and all languages 😊. Another important point to clarify is that Aramaic is not the mother language of Phoenician. Aramaic people took the alphabet from the phoenicians to write their own language. Hence, Phoenician language is the origin... What I said is based upon deep research and facts not just some random argumentation and biased opinions. These are historical facts...

The Aramaic Bibles are all translations. They are not original. The Old Syriac is a 2nd-century translation of the Greek New Testament into Syriac (a dialect of Aramaic), and the Peshiṭta Syriac is a 5th-century revision of the Old Syriac translation. Both are in a central Aramaic dialect, which is not the dialect of Aramaic Jesus would have spoken.
This also overlooks the fact that the land of Israel was trilingual in the 1st century, at the time of Jesus and even afterwards. Hebrew has developed into 2 registers: a “low,” colloquial, spoken register (mishnaic Hebrew) and a “high,” literary register (basically biblical Hebrew). Hebrew remained the national language of the Jewish people and was still spoken as a mothertongue by Jews in the Land and also used by Jewish teachers at the time as the normal language of instruction. Aramaic was the old lingua franca since the Persian period, still spoken. And Greek was the new lingua franca since Alexander the Great. All 3 of these languages were alive and well and used on a daily basis by all levels of society in the land of Israel in the 1st century.

challenge to muslims to refute the statements below like SATANIC VERSES, illogical consistencies, historical inadequacies and empirical fallacies in quran.
only 1 contradiction or error found in quran in terms of logical consistencies, historical adequacy and empirical evidence is enough to invalidate the whole quran because allah claimed quran was perfect tablet in surah 85.22 and no contradiction in surah 4.82. also allah said none can alter his words in surah 15.9, surah 10.15, surah 18.27, surah 6.34, surah 6.115 but we knew that there are many versions of quran like hafs, warsh, alduri, qalon and those quran version are not identical and even the 6 major quran manuscripts are not identical and how come there are different versions of quran if uthman burned all the quran except the quraish dialect.
is muhamnad a false prophet and is allah false god?
quran is not from GOD but from false god "allah"and false prophet "muhammad" because quran failed the test in terms of logical consistencies, historical adequacy and empirical evidence. logical failure for example in quran, quran claimed that its perfect tablet surah 85.22 comes from heaven and there's no contradiction in quran surah 4.82, but how come allah allowed SHAYTAN for muhamnad to speak SATANIC VERSES surah 53.19-20 and surah 22.52, 18.1, 41.42 while quran was in heaven before given to muhammad? see link below for tafsir surah 22.52
another logical failure, quran claimed that SHAYTAN has no authority to slave of allah surah 15.42 but how come allah allowed SHAYTAN to control muhammad and bewitched? see link below as an example from sahih bukhari
quran failed historically, surah 17.1 allah brought muhammad to the farthest al aqsa mosque but how come there's mosque in Jerusalem during muhamnad's life time when muslims didn't invade yet jerusalem?
another historical error, Abraham's father in quran is "azar" [surah 6:74] And (remember) when Ibrahim (Abraham) said to his father Azar: "Do you take idols as aliha (gods)? Verily, I see you and your people in manifest error." Abraham's father in the Bible is " Terah" . there are more historical errors in quran like Mary's father is imran [ surah 66:12] and sister of Aaron and moses [surah 19:28]. moses/aaron's father was imran. time gap between mary and moses/aaron were more than thousand year gap. how come allah who is all knowing who made a lot of mistakes in terms of historical records?
quran failed in empirical evidence, quran claimed that sperms come from backbone of the ribs surah 86.6-7 "[6]He is created from a water gushing forth. [7] Proceeding from between the back-bone and the ribs," what kind of god allah is that allah doesn't know even where are the sperms come from?
and embryology in quran is also another science disaster in surah 23.14 "Then We made the Nutfah into a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood), then We made the clot into a little lump of flesh, then We made out of that little lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We brought it forth as another creation. So blessed be Allah, the Best of creators."
what kind of all knowing allah is when allah made a lot of mistakes and he doesn't know embryology process. it could not be from GOD
//which allah created first heaven or earth?

"(Never sent We a messenger or a prophet before thee…) [22:52]. The commentators of the Qur'an said: “When the Messenger of Allah, Allah bless him and give him peace, saw that his people were shunning him, he was aggrieved by their rejection of the message he brought them and he secretly wished that Allah, exalted is He, reveals something to him which would bring him and his people closer to each other, keen as he was to see them accept faith. One day, he sat in one of the congregations of Quraysh which attracted a huge number of its members, and he wished that Allah, exalted is He, does not reveal to him on that day anything that might repel them from him. Allah, exalted is He, revealed to him then Surah al-Najm (By the star when it stetteth…) [Surah 53]. The Messenger of Allah, Allah bless him and give him peace, recited it but when he reached (Have ye thought upon al-Lat and al-'Uzza, and Manat, the third, the other) [53:19-20], the devil put on his tongue what he had secretly wished and hoped for and said: 'These are the mighty cranes (gharaniq) and their intercession is hoped for'. When the Quraysh heard this, they were very pleased. The Messenger of Allah, Allah bless him and give him peace, carried on reciting until the end of the Surah and then prostrated. All the Muslims followed suit and prostrated, and all the idolaters who were present prostrated too. All those who were present, whether Muslim or disbeliever, prostrated except al-Walid ibn al-Mughirah and Abu Uhyahah Sa'id ibn al-'As who were too advanced in age and could not prostrate, but they both grabbed a handful of dust and put their foreheads on it. The Quraysh then dispersed, happy with what they heard. They said: 'Muhammad has mentioned our idols with complimentary terms. We know that Allah gives life and takes it away, He creates and provides sustenance, but these idols of ours will intercede for us with Him. Now that Muhammad has associated them, we are all with him'. That evening, Gabriel, peace be upon him, went to the Messenger of Allah, Allah bless him and give him peace, and said: 'What have you done? You recited to people that which I did not bring from Allah, glorified is He, and you said what I did not say to you'."

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Allah created Adam, making him 60 cubits tall. When He created him, He said to him, "Go and greet that group of angels, and listen to their reply, for it will be your greeting (salutation) and the greeting (salutations of your offspring." So, Adam said (to the angels), As-Salamu Alaikum (i.e. Peace be upon you). The angels said, "As-salamu Alaika wa Rahmatu-l-lahi" (i.e. Peace and Allah's Mercy be upon you). Thus the angels added to Adam's salutation the expression, 'Wa Rahmatu-l-lahi,' Any person who will enter Paradise will resemble Adam (in appearance and figure). People have been decreasing in stature since Adam's creation.

It says 40 years wilderness, Canaan Conquer, 450 years by Judges, plus Samuel, 40 years Saul another 40 years by David. Samuel and Saul period may be duplicated partly. But read Bible by Textus Receptus or KJV. Joshuah was not the Judge and therefore we should allow another 25 years or 40 years. Sir Anderson interpreted 1 King 6:1 about 480 years excluding the Submission to Canaanite, which is called < Principle of Omission by Seder Olam Rabba> The reason why Matthew chapter 1 genealogy omitted the 3 Kings is because of the principle of omission. Seder Olam Rabba is based on the Records of High Priests while the Chronicles and Kings are based on the records of the Dynasty. So, there should be minimum 613 or 653 years until the Solomon Temple Construction since Exodus. If you claim the Exodus took place some time like 1495 or 1445, it is the time of 18th Dynasty of Egypt. then the Palace should have been Thebe and if Jews lived nearby Fayom or near Goshen , the distance between Palace and Jewish camp should have been far away like 600 Km, and the communication should have been difficult, and the Israelites should have crossed Red Sea near the Thebe which is very far. Sir Anderson calculated many things and support my calculation. Eusebius can be right in some reports but he was a kind of Catholic man and quite erroneous.
If the Exodus took place in 1625 BC, Moses lived 1705-1585 BC because he was 80 years old at the time of Exodus. This calculation coincide with Hyksos invasion.

I think we have to make it clear. If you mean Indonesia, then we don't have a mother tongue. However, Bahasa Indonesia or simply, Indonesian, has its roots from the Malay language, which, historically, was chosen at that time because it has become the lingua franca throughout the Nusantara. But if you mean the mother tongue of the Indonesian people -the Indonesian ethnic groups-, obviously, they have their own mother tongue.
However, don't misunderstand the accent or dialect of Indonesian in one or several regions by saying, it is the mother tongue of the native people in that region. Because there is a difference between the Indonesian accent or dialect in certain areas and the native language of their own ethnic groups. It should be noted that, there is a difference in meaning between accent and dialect, which means, Indonesian accent and dialect also have different meanings. For Example. "I'm very hungry", in Sumatran (Sumatran Batak, Malay, or people Medan city) dialect it will become "lapar kali aku". But in Papuan dialect it will become "Sa su lapar skali".
But when talking about accents, we can see for example, the word "ide" sounds different when pronounced by Sumatran and Javanese people. Or the word "Jumat" is pronounced by some people as "Jum'at" which is pronounced individually, "Jum" and "at", and "at" is pronounced in a nasal sound. Likewise, the word "rakyat" for some people, is not emphasized on the letter k, so it sounds "ra'yat". (CMIIW)
P.S. I'm also Indonesian, and because I'm Bataknese, the mother tongue of my people is Batak. But, if a foreigner asks me, what is my mother tounge, then I will answer, Indonesia.

I believe that it is debated what the language other than Latin and Greek is. They use a term that is roughly "Judean".
This is a word in Greek that Josephus says he wrote his book in so that the Jews and other people in the east could understand it. Here it is Aramaic but it also sometimes refers to Hebrew.

Can't argue with these fools who "Change the truth of God into a lie..."
Their aramaic claims are based on no evidence and doubt. All they can do is claimmlike the vatican and the moslems that its been changed. The texts have been corrupted. Even though you can easily search for the earliest manuscript evidence of those references. It NEVER says "Judaean" until AFTER 400 AD. But don't count on these dolts to be honest. Even with nothing but their pride on the line, not a dime to be made from the lie they will hold fast to the nonsense.
They are LOST. The bible says to "Prove all things." They fail at its basic inatruction.

Pope Francis our beloved, it is not important what Jesus Christ our saviour spoke. What Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Isreal was say to you that OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST WAS BORN IN ISREAL AND HIS INITIAL BOYHOOD WAS ALSO SPENT IN ISRAEL. IF YOU RECALL WHEN JESUS WAS 12 YEARS OLD, HE WENT WITH HIS PARENTS TO JERUSALEM FOR THE PASSOVER FEAST. BOY JESUS STAYED BACK AND WAS DISCUSSING WITH THE INTELLECTUALS, CERTAINLY HE WAS NOT SPEAKING THE ARAMAIC LANGUAGE. BEING A JEW HIMSELF, JESUS SPOKE THE JEWISH LANGUAGE. Jesus did speak the Aramaic language also later in His Life. By trying to please the world you have done disservice to the JEWISH PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF ISREAL. Jesus did no such thing. Your use of human understanding, rather than letting you be guided by the Holy Spirit, is causing the Body of Christ a lot of PAIN. Jesus Praised His Heavenly Father for revealing to the unlearned, what He hid from the SO CALLED WISE AND LEARNED. Because we let human wisdom prevail over God’s plan for mankind, we find ourselves in a terrible state of affairs. You keep attacking president Donald Trump, about the wall, but you would rather have terrorists, drug lords, rapist, child molesters, MS 13 gangster to enter into America and destroy the innocent souls there. So that America will be filled with all kinds of criminal activities. You were pal with Obama, who sanctioned JAY MARRIAGE, ALLOWED DRUG LORDS TO ENTER THE COUNTRY FREELY, SO THAT AMERICA MAY BE BROUGHT DOWN TO ITS KNEES. When you were asked about gay marriage, your reply was who am I to answer. You are supposed to be representing Our Lord Jesus Christ. You silence has caused thousands of souls to the arms of the devil. Jesus is a Jew, and His language is the language of the Jewish people.

The Jews rejected Jesus as their Messiah, calling him an impostor. Christians deify him when he never claims divinity. He never says in the Bible, "Worship me, I am God." The Muslim's view on Jesus son of Mary, lies in between the two. He was the Messiah, sent only to the Jews, not Gentiles. They Jews tried to crucify him, but they failed. He will return.

The MESSIAH came on EARTH, was killed , he died and resurrected on the third day as HE said HE would.
HE is coming back again to judge the whole world and to destroy evil forever.
Those who want ETERNAL LIFE must BELIEVE in HIM and live according to HIS COMMANDMENTS or teachings.
You must REPENT from sin and live a righteous and HOLY life.
LOVE your neighbours like yourself and stop hating people.
      RELIGION won't save anyone.
FEAR The CREATOR, obey HIS LAWS. BELIEVE IN MESSIAH HE SENT.
He is not a Christian. He is not a Muslim. He is not a jew(fake white jews in Israel today).
He came from judea, a town called Nazareth. HE spoke HEBREW.
HE is not a white man. Not from Europe. Not from Rome. Not from Greek.
He is from ISRAEL. Israel is by Egypt. Both are countries in the African continent.
We all must repent and ask for forgiveness of our sins and stop doing evil.
The heavenly Father gave us HIS ONLY SON( YACHAD) that whoever believes in HIM will not perish but have eternal life.
We must BELIEVE in HIM, REPENT and obey the commandments of our HEAVENLY FATHER.
If you claim to believe in HIM but fail to keep HIS COMMANDMENTS you are just like a man who says I love my wife but goes and cheats with another woman.
The woman will divorce you and your marriage will end in misery.
Peace to all of us in the NAME of YAHUSHA OUR MESSIAH.

Even for those who don't belive in God, Christ would be a rockstar of his time that revulotionized the minds of people, he broke the law of moses like eye for eye, tooth for tooth, forgiveness for your enemy etc and this is the most important thing for me.

God said no wicked deed shall go unpunished and vengeance is mine. Doesn't sound like forgiveness to me. I find it interesting that the people that have done or currently do wicked things to others are always talking about forgiveness These people want forgiveness after they have bombed your country, killed your spouse, children, parents. White European Jews don't talk about forgiving Hitler. Blacks in America don't talk about forgiving whites for what their ancestors did to them and what whites continue to do them now. I don't know what the GLOBAL MEANING of the Bible is .It's been interesting talking with you, Peace

Jesus Christ spoke Aramaic. Not Hebrew or Greek or Latin. Unlike Hebrew Priests and other leaders at Jerusalem administration, people of first century Israel had no knowledge of Hebrew. That is why whenever the apostles say Hebrew in New testament (John 19:13, John 19:17, etc.), the word comes up is transliteration of an Aramaic word. That is why Apostle Paul (who studied under Hebrew rabbis at Jerusalem) had to translate the meaning of Hebrew name "Melchizedek" for Hebrews in Hebrews 7:2.
According to Dead Sea Scrolls Archaeologist Yigael Yadin, Aramaic was the language of Hebrews until Bar Kokhba revived Hebrew during Bar Kokhba revolt (132 to 135 AD).

They are all interrelated languages which cross over into each other.
Thats why calling Israelites "Hebrews" is not technically accurate as non-Israelites probably spoke Hebrew and its also very similar to Aramaic.
Yes, there is "proto-Canaanite" which may be the common ancestor to all these languages, but not to get confused with particular tribes and their languages as the languages can cross over to different groups.
i.e particular tribe does not automatically equal particular language.
eg 1st century Israel/Judah probably mostly spoke Aramaic, but obviously Judahites/Israelites where not Armenian's (associated with Aramaic).
The Aramaic was probably from the legacy of the Assyrian conquest of Israel's northern Kingdom which later became known as "Samaria" (and associated with Samaritans settling, from Assyria)
i.e "talking the Canaan language" may be basically talking Hebrew to each other, but Abraham was probably talking Hebrew to other locals not from the immediate family. Hebrew is not "unique" to the old testament, but others, outside of what would be the Jewish tradition may have spoken Hebrew.
eg, the The Mesha Stele (also known as the "Moabite Stone") is a MOABITE inscription in so called "Moabite language" but its not difficult for someone who speaks Hebrew to work most of it out i.e its basically Hebrew (discussing Moabite interactions with Israelites).

Aram appears in the table of nations as a son of Shem, and the same name
is given to a grandson of Nahor, Abraham’s brother.
Bethuel, the father of Laban, is called “the Aramean.” Deut. 26:5 seems to be a liturgical formula: “Arami obed abi,” “My father was a wandering Aramean.” Balaam gives Aram as his home (Num. 23:7) - making him distinctly Armenian and certainly he was not Israelite/Hebrew .
Abraham was principally, therefore, identified & associated with the Aramean people from Haran. (He was not, of course, a descendant of Aram).
If one follows the Geneologies, Abraham is of course related to Aram & what would be Armenians but not directly Armenian if Aram is the origin of Armanian.
Abraham is knows as an "Ivri" - "Hebrew" as he is a descendant of Ever (where Ivri or Hebrew comes from).
      see table
      en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eber
      en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Family_tree_of_the_Bible
Of course, that would make all the descendants of Ever "Ivri" and Hebrews, which is clearly not the case. What is more likely, Abraham LEAVES his birthplace in Ur (dominated by Armenian + Chaldeans) to settle in Canaan.
It is this critical parting, that will separate the Armenean + Hebrew's, although they are clearly still interrelated with each other - because Abraham goes back to find a wife for Isaac from Aram Naharaim i.e Armenian.
So, ethnically its pretty much interrelated from same family tree because it was forbidden to marry a Canaanite.
I think the distinction is more cultural and linguistic than ethnic with Abraham disavowing his fathers idol tradition and finding God (or God finding him) and going on a separate path and developing a separate culture - by moving away from Ur and what is Babylonia region to settle in Canaan where Hebrew might have been the language. (related to Armenian)
Otherwise, the bible should be in Armenian, not Hebrew. Considering Abrahams descendants spoke Hebrew to each other as recorded in the bible.
