- Hershey Bears goaltender David Leggio impersonates hockey commentator Pierre McGuire with teammate Tyson Strachan on March 18, 2014. Leggio was taping promotional videos for Strachan's Strays, an organization which raises both money and awareness for stray dogs.
My favorite part? The part starting around 1:25. - Приколы
"There's a great documentary, he's not in it..."
Got the inanity, but missed the cloying creepyness with just a hint of craigslist cruising. Can't blame him for that. That's unique to Pierre.
I'm gay and Pierre creeps the fuck out of me.
poodtang1 what does you being gay have to do with anything?
Absolute nailed it. 9.5/10. He gets -0.5 for excluding a "roof daddy", "hockey sense", or "time and space" comment. No Pierre McGuire mockery is complete without one of those statements.
I come back here roughly every year for a laugh around the trade deadline 😂😂 Pierre was just on TV, I immediately came here lol
I love it when Pierre says something or asks a question and Doc and Eddy completely ignore him or give him a one word half assed answer.
The 2 on 0 incident and this spot on McGuire impression...
David Leggio is a fucking legend!
Big stick, big body.
“I thought I was in Chicago, I wasn’t I was in Buffalo!”
Literally spot on
He needed to stand 3 inches from that other guy while doing the interview.
Exactly.
I want a Claude Baloux jersey for Christmas
This is fucking epic
Almost rivals the Ottawa ghost
Please give us some more
This could only be improved by finishing every sentence with "Isn't it, Edzo?"
This clip is about to get another huge bump
Big Stick. Big Body. Dirty Areas.
"looks like we got ourselves a big stick" "the big bodies need to get to those dirty areas"
Forgot the *"THAT'S... TOO... MANY... MEN..."* or the *"[Enter Coach's name] isn't happy about that Doc, he's not happy about it at all"*. To be honest, Pierre is a complete tool but i enjoy his presence on NBC as comic relief -- fun to laugh at.
Good to see somebody else has the same view about him that I do. Sure he's weird, has a goofy delivery, enjoys announcers with a long stick from time to time, but there's something about him where he doesn't seem offensive. Plus his knowledge (although a little excessive....ok, a lot excessive at times) is kinda impressive. I forget which player once said it, but his quote was something along the lines of "Pierre knows stuff about me that I didn't even know."
(Did I just praise Pierre? How did that happen?)
John Doe Lol i know exactly what you mean. He does know his hockey (used to coach the Whalers once upon a time), that's only part of the reason i'd be somewhat sad if he lost his job with NBCSN. The other part is ironically the same reason my friends and i are always laughing at him... he's got funny mannerisms and he really is such a tool, for lack of a better word.
Obviously i'm not trying to hate on him, but he's such a dork that his dorky-ness is actually endearing IMO. I feel like anyone else who did the same job as him would just be boring, since there is so much entertainment value in poking fun at Pierre-isms.
All of that said, he does seem like a nice guy at the end of the day. He means well. I don't want to see him go anywhere... he provides to many laughs without even trying!!
That impression was spot on.
This is amazing.
Pierre was BRUTAL last night for the Bruins/Habs game. He was throating the Bruins the whole game. I'm a Bruins fan and I couldn't stand it.
this is beautiful
This still kills me 😂
this is my favorite thing
So perfect
it's needs some "hah Eddie?" or "yeah Eddie" and my absolute favorite after "Edzo" just disagreed with Pion: "I agree Eddie"
Pierre is a nerd in a world of jocks
This is epic!! Happy Pierre Got Fired Day!
terrible impression. He didn't mention Crosby once!
OUTstanding!
Pierre sounds great when your tem just won 13 in a row. Great impression
pure gold
Is this making fun of Pierre's constant tangents? Because I dont know whats funnier, the voice, or the tangents.
Needs more "or-gan-EYE-zay-shun" references.
bang on!!!!
The guy's he's polled 🤣🤣🤣😂😅😅
Finally, a hockey player with an actual personality. This is fantastic. And Pierre McGuire STINKS (the real Pierre, that is).
Perfect 😂👌🏻
Tyson Strachan looks like Jeff Carter.
Omg this was fuckin awesome!!!!
Big stick, big bahdy
Hilarious boys
I ate 6! I threw up 7 times!
😂😂🤣🤣🤣❤
I always found it ironic that a guy named *Pierre* can't even pronounce French names lol ..... "Clawed Giroux"
lol classic. Pierre is unbearable to listen to(as is Doc)
jigyoda I wonder if he's senile half the time he talks. He's just rambles on about who knows what.
Knifed over for the shuffle along by Kane... Sandwiched by boychuk tripped back on along with Chara twisting around.
He did miss Crosby but the rest is dead on... I want to give some dough to the foundation just for this video
haha this is awesome
@mobilepierre has some good parodies of classic Pierre, CLAUDE BALOUX
claude biloux 😆
claude biloux was a force man people shouldn't knock him!
Pierre is an unnecessary annoyance. At least I know where everyone is from, where they went to college and where they played juniors. Great job David.
he needs to be talking constantly....all the while sounding like he is about to run out of air. !! he is like a guy trying to get last call and wont shut up !!
yeah. Pierre is that lame. He also laughs at everything DOC says no matter how far out in left field it is.
LOL...Great impression! Couldn't agree more that Pierre is absolutely HORRIBLE. Ruins the experience, to say the very least. I'd pay a subscription fee just to PREVENT him from being a part of the broadcast. Sorry PM, but you have no business being a part of the on-air staff. Please, for the love of hockey, find something else OFF AIR to do. NBCSN -- even if he offers to do it for FREE, don't let him. Your fans beg you to reconsider using this guy. Horrible. Just horrible.
I find him pretty entertaining actually, Mr. Babcock.
packers256 I hope that was sarcasm
I'd rather they bring back Darren Pang, or Barry Melrose, or even JR (Roenick) to be the between the glass guy. Maybe if his delivery or tone were different. It's just like nails on a chalkboard to me.
Adam Boelkins No, seriously. He brings a different side to the game than most announcers. He's unique and even though he's a little weird I think he's fun to listen to and his actual hockey knowledge is underrated.
packers256 I know he had a failed coaching stint. I just have a hard time listening to guys who have no real (good) credibility. Barry Melrose has that. Players like Keith Jones and Jeremy Roenick and even Milbury (whom I don't really like) have that. I just don't get that from PM *at all*. And his tone/voice inflection...don't help.
