    I am only ten years old but i had his autograph as he came to my school. He was one of the nicest people ever. One of the worst days ever and such a horrible loss. The whole of the TT will never be the same. Hope his family recovers soon.

      You have the maturity and the wisdom far beyond that of a ten year old as your thoughtful comment will attest. Good luck to you

    Please Please dont start saying it should stop. Dan would not want it that i am sure. Some don't understand
    and never will. Dan did understand. Its a freedom thing a choice that these brave boys and girls make for better
    or for worse so to speak.So So sad as we all know but racing is racing and freedom of choice is exactly that.
    Again all our thoughts go to the family..

      Very well said my friend. If the Isle of Man TT were suddenly stopped, for whatever reason by the powers that be, it would be a travesty felt the world over. It would be a slap in the face to every brave rider who risked it all, and lost their lives in the Greatest Race the world has ever known. My heart felt condolences to the family, friends and fans of Dan Kneen. RIP Dan......

    This should NOT have happened. Kneen was still injured & had been riding above his ability as far as I am concerned. Yes, it is tragic, but I am not surprised. If you follow the timeline of Kneen's form leading up to this then you will agree that he was accident prone. Very sad, but not all riders are cutout for big bikes. Some would be better in less powerful classes or Classic classes. RIP Dan Kneen, you are loved by many.

    I think Josh Brooks summed it up the best. They understand the risks, know the dangers and have to be able to compartmentalize death, accidents and scrary moments or they couldn’t ride the track. Dan himself would have been back out on the track the next night if someone else had died. RIP Dan.

    These Guys live for this they know the risks they know what will happen in even a small mistake which happens some times you get away with other times you dont and you die,thats what this sport is you need balls of steel you riealy do its sad to see a young man die this way but they choose this path and it comes with the sport

  • @buddybopper561
    @buddybopper561 6 лет назад

    That's what makes them champions , the high risk of death has always been a part of any motor sport ! To do the impossible to fly without wings at high speeds to be able to cover a stretch of distance in surprising speed in a certain amount of time , now that's racing - period !!!

    when is the TT going to start improving rider safety? The TT should be at the cutting edge of rider safety development. Inflater suits are not mandatory as they should be and some of the profits should be directed to rider's safety and survive ability research. it's hard to respect the organizers when the riders are just treated as modern day gladiators, to be disposed of and replaced with endless streams of new victims. 2 to 5 death per season. how many deaths in one year will it take to start a new safety regime?

    • @mufclegends09
      @mufclegends09 6 лет назад

      cocodog85 how many people died climbing Everest in the last 5 years they know the risks but the rewards make it worth it to them we can’t understand it coz we don’t do it

    • @cocodog85
      @cocodog85 6 лет назад

      two different issues. your example is poor. a better example is formula one and the driver's association, which is always pushing for driver's safety. why can't the tt be the same? it's long overdue.

    • @mad4tarmac
      @mad4tarmac 6 лет назад +1

      cocodog85 listen... butt out, if its too dangerous for you dont watch or go... everybody knows the risks,the danger even draws some of the riders..inflator suits bla bla wont do fuck all its a road race not circuit..the speeds are high..inflator suit on a road racers is like putting a blanket on the ground for a skydiver.. it aint go to do nothing..my brother road raced and i got badly hurt at silly track accident that ended my racing days...please butt out blabbing on about the dangers... go watch soccer or tennis,stop trying to be the do gooder.

    • @cocodog85
      @cocodog85 6 лет назад

      it's because of savages like you, who have no regard for human life that this situation has become so bad...my advice to you is to not wear your seat belt when driving and don't let your children wear their's either. a helmet for you is useless, you're already brain dead.
      having riders survive serious accidents are a good thing and would promote rider safety for street riders as well, since technology eventually filters down to the street level.

    • @mufclegends09
      @mufclegends09 6 лет назад

      cocodog85 f1 safety is completely different and easier to implement they have seat belts and can’t leave the car if they crash so no it’s not a better example
