Hey Courtney & Matt, that comp you put up for the AWW cookbook is mine. It's such a beautiful cookbook! Postage cost $12.85 from VIC to NSW in a padded mailer, with band 3 savings rate.
Great find with the cookbook, Courtney! The Aust Post satchels can take up to 5kg (I’m pretty sure that book will be less than that). It could even fit into a medium satchel, which could be $11-$15, depending on your My Post Business discount.
Another Great Video Matt!!!! Courtney is Blessed to have a teacher like you!!!! I believe she knows that too!! Both of you have a Super Weekend!!! 🤗♥️🙏🏼
Great finds. If you buy the padded or cardboard small mailer for u der $2 i find i can post 90% of my books at small parcel rates. More $$$ in Courtney's business. Hope you both have a great sales weekend. Last weekend i had one sale, my worst ever so hoping i have a good one too. 😂
As a former barista, I truly hope Court can quit her job in favor of reselling as it's a brutal job with early hours and all day on your feet. I think she would do great with her own youtube channel as well, I would love to follow her side hustle adventures :) Thank you for these videos, Matt!
What should I do if I am staying consistent almost everyday and 200 items on my ebay store but not getting any sales??? It just seems like Im following all the steps but nobody will buy
@@TheAussieFlipper About 6 -7 months now but I buy mostly online or get rid of stuff I dont use anymore because there arent any good thrift stores near my area that Ive found
@@mkdefender2 you need to deploy consistent listings courtney's doing 3 per day. Over the long run this will help bring in consistent sales. I'd source as much as you can then schedule them out over a few days... Always make sure you've got something going live each day. It will help.
@@TheAussieFlipper Thank you for the advice Ill follow it from now on! Is buying the subscription of the store on ebay worth it and which pack should I get? I was thinking shout subscribing to the starter one for 4.95 a month
Jealous with the DVDs ! My local Salvos and Vinnies sell all Series DVDs for eBay prices ! It’s crazy. Be careful with the books though Courtney I find that it’s the sellers that specialise in books that get the bigger $$. I’m a everything seller and can’t seem to sell books for the same prices as the specialist sellers. Weird but true.and YES for the footy boots particularly ASICS . I always buy them if found ❤
Nice haul! Finding op shops that have good dvds for $1 is hard to come by. One of my local salvos charges $2 per DISC so say a show like Parks and Rec that has 6 discs, yep youre paying $12.
@The Aussie Flipper yeah it's awful! I tend not to go to that one anymore but they do occasionally price stuff cheaper if the right person is doing pricing
Matt, just wondering why you opened a store straight away? Its an extra $30+- expense that she doesnt need. An account would be cheaper for this stage of her eBay journey.❤
Also really bad advise to be scheduling listings this early. If you have stock get it in the store and grow the store. Can’t sell items and get traffic with everything either scheduled or unlisted. Can’t sell what’s not on eBay.
When you open a store - do you pay monthly free on the date you open the store at the end of the month? Has that cost been factored in to the expenses tab?
That’s crazy that those ski high dunks sell for that much, here in the uk you literally can’t give them away, there’s tons listed for about £30 that never sell
What do you do if you don't get a receipt from the op shop for record keeping? I have been making small purchases to resell, mostly books for 50c to $1 and they usually don't give a receipt. Is it necessary to have one?
It is preferable. But you could also track with a spreadsheet which shows date and store of purchase and this would match with a bank transaction. If cash, then keeping a diary record of where you have sourced works. This is all presuming you aren't registered for GST
You were right in the pronunciation of agape- (uh-gah-pay) agape love from the Bible, New Testament. The highest form of love- God’s love for humans & human’s love for God. Good luck to Courtney on your eBay store! 👍🏻
You need to be careful with cooking books, usually everybody offers free postage and it costs a lot to ship the heavy books so you can end up with hardly any profit unless it is a vintage cook book that is harder to find and worth more money, then it is usually worth getting 🙂
If someone offers "free" postage it's included in their pricing. Also when you comp you take this into account. I don't do free listing and I've sold several over $50 cookbooks with added postage. Plus not many individual cookbooks are over 5kg.
How the fuck are they charging $20 for delivery of a book??! That's scandalous!! Don't they offer a business account for if you send more. Than 10 parcels a week?
You said it right.. Or better thr first time.. Its more like "a gar pay" .. Its a greek word ,describing Gods love.. The God of the bible that is.. On that note... God bless!
Better for the algorithm to have listings go live each day. You want to show eBay you’re active each day. 3 per day is a lot better then listing 21 live in 1 day then ghosting for 6. Hope that makes sense
@@TheAussieFlipper I see, thanks! Right now im still a small seller so list in bulk as i often get 70% off fees promotion weekends but when i start to list more than 100 items ill start spreading them out

Postal costs in Australia are outrageous 😮
Not sure if anyone has commented, but agape means love! God is agape! You guys keep up the great work and thanks for the content.
Brilliant finds for Courtney! Another really good teaching vlog Matt! As always -Wish you the best in sales for both of you two!

Cookbooks in small padded mailers.
Greatest American Hero plays on The Roku Channel for free. Amazed at the prices ebay sellers get in Australia.

Well done! Great finds! Thanks for sharing

Hey Matt what’s the name of the song at 2:04?
Thanks for the tips. This series is really helpful for me as I've just begun listing items on ebay a couple weeks ago. Based out of Hawaii, USA.
Hawaii! My favourite part of the world! Thanks for watching!
Love this series!
Thanks so much for watching!
yup my week 2 sales were half of week 1
Great update on Courtneys store she's doing well. Nice haul from the thrifts this week as well. She will be in profit in no time!
She’s got this! Thanks for watching Richard!
love the board room lunch dates ;)
Lucky to live where we do!
How do you decide listing prices ?
No one ever covers this off :(
Search for previously sold items on eBay. theres a search filter for sold.
Agape is one of the Greek words for love.
some nice shoes, but I reckon you should charge postage
What's the advantage for having a store when the normal ebay seller can list 999+ titles ?
Try to minimise shadows - Well done.
14:21. Bless you ! ! ! 😉
