Note that the cannon quest changed in this week's patch 3/6/24 - so all the current guides don't have the correct location to place the cannon. Go to the marked area when you click on the cannon assembly then aim it as high as you can over the tower that has an artifact looking thing then fire at 50%. A fellow BDO'er was kind enough to pm me when I asked in game - figured I would share it here as well so you don't have to go get another cannon 3x like I did xD
Guys, if you have a Shai character you can use that for any alchemy & gathering, they have professional I in both categories by default. Use that for log 7 too
LEVELING COOKING AS NEW PLAYER : COOKING a "BATCH" of vinegar as a BEGINNER doesnt happen you cook individual 1's until you reach about around the Cooking Tier. of "SKILLED". Once you're in Skilled you start to get RNG change of cooking in bulks of 10 during your batches. (XP comes faster now). I recommend using Life EXP scrolls, items, everything you got otherwise you'll be stuck cooking for 1-2 hours.

can some1 help me,i already shoot the cannon but i miss,i try it for 4x,but when im trying to shoot it again,the cannon was broken and disappear,what shld i do.is that bug or something i try to come back to the smity but there's no option for conversation again,now im stuck here......
Well, i did something stupid. i did hit them more than 10 times, kept going up and down to get a new cannon and cannon balls... I was still in a party. Which then you can't complete the quest.. I stood on the left side of ridge where the waypoint shows you to put it. (Close to the tower with the node guy and artifact). You will see the scare crows in the water to the left of the tower. The closest scare crow at the bottom of them all just viable next to the tower, aim all the way up and just let it go at 10% or not even 10%, this worked 1st try for me since shooting over the tower did not work.

Anyone have any advice on the cannon one? I’ve looked at all the other videos and shot exactly where they say. Fired about 60 cannon balls and get lots of controller shake and the health bar for a scarecrow but it never hits the scarecrows. Very frustrating.
@@lesun7321 I'm doing that. I'm doing everything that all the different videos have said to do. Maybe I'm just missing based on where the cannon is placed but I'm up to about 120 cannonballs and still haven't registered a hit to finish the book. i think it's bugged on console.
use f5 to load cannon balls. in aim mode there will be a big arrow out of the cannon, raise the cannon to highest possible (pressing s), make sure aim reticle had + sign in circle. hold down left mouse button to maximize power, hit left mouse button quickly to fire. if you are successful, a message will appear on you screen.
Just an update for anyone still doing this . The market ran out of regular wheat , so I got high quality wheat and got lots of blue beer from doing so.

Goto marked location, move to edge, aim general direction, Lower Barrel All The Way Down, Charge to 20-25%.
