- This is Mr.Dwayne Simpson otherwise know as DOSY a Man rearing goats over 59 years and is also a poultry farmer and use to be a big pig farmer, DOSY explains that ever since he was a boy, he has over time learn so much about goats that he has become the local community vet, he takes care of all animals, cows, goats, cats, dogs you name it he does it.
He said he offer his service for free most of the times because he likes to know the animals are well.
Located in the Parish of St.Elizabeth and rears mostly Bores and Bores cross with Nubian he also sell goats.

Praedial larceny is such a HUGE problem in Jamaica. Been going on for decades and I find it difficult to understand why sentences don't reflect the crime? These farmers feed the nation and their hard work helps to reduce the country's import bill.. If up and coming farmers see that their hard work amounts to nothing they will simply give up.

Deworming is not the only factor that causes convulsion. Certain weeds they eat can cause that as well, for eg. Broom weed.

I understand his feeling when he say he sell out his animals and travel for 2 years that happen to me i travel to america to live and i leave my goats with my sis and she because she was lazy she gave them to a known to steal people animals so he stole mines and sell them and i dreams about those goats for over 7 years because they was like pets i still wonder what happened to them hurt my when I hear what she did but with god by my side im trying to buy land big enough to build a home and have my animal farm and food but land getting to expensive for the size i want

Shan, I am a little upset with the pens/units, they are so small, the goats do not have a lot of movement. Can't believe the inspectors didn't have him open the spaces. I could see if the area was fenced, and they go out in the days to exercise and return to sleep. He does have some beautiful goats like the brown with the white spots. It is so disheartening to work so hard, and thieves reap your labor. Wonder if he could set up some kind of alarm system on the gates., or he need some watch dogs.
