  • I get lots of questions on instagram about the maintenance for these non-surgical hair replacements. This isn't the typical service, but it is what I do if I need to go a little longer before seeing my hairstylist. Im not necessarily balding, but I am thin. These hair pieces have been so much fun to use because I can have whatever hair I want without waiting.

That is one of the best hair pieces I have ever seen, it actually looks real, I think most hair pieces look false and they always seem to be cut in a weird style, but yours looks natural, especially the way it is combed forward. Thanks for the demonstration in fitting and caring for your piece, I have often wondered about that, great video, thanks for posting.

I agree with you when you add this skill set to your barbering or a cosmetology license it really can help you with other clients that are experiencing hair loss. I've been doing this for a little more than a year and I also have a tricology practitioners license so I feel like I can help probably 100% of my clients then come in and there are a lot of amazing things are doing right now with stem cells and micro-needling to cure baldness even when you have scarring over the follicle. So good for you for wanting to educate people on here restoration because it's a great service for men who are having problems

Thanks so much! I Modeled a hair piece for a Hair Dresser in Columbia SC and she was charging like $330.00 to redo the application and that was a little out of my price range. I figured if I could find a good adhesive I could really do the reapplication at home. I searched and searched for a good silicone adhesive but could like find one. Then I saw your video and Thank you SOOOO much for linking the ghost bond! I've ordered the 5oz bottle and its on its way!
    Again, Thank you so much!!!

I know what you mean about it being life changing. I'm finally just starting to thin in front a little at 61. But, I have always wished that I could cut hair doing this for balding men and women. I wanted to be a cosmetic surgeon when I was very young but settled on graphic design as a career. Still maybe when I retire I can do this. Great video and very inspiring.

    Hey Phil,
Thanks for sharing your journey and experiences!
I noticed you have existing hair on your head and I’m curious to know how well/long does the bond last for around those areas?
I’ve sent you a message on Instagram with a picture for reference but I’m keen to know if the glue bond will be compromised once the fine hair on your hair starts growing back.
Hope you can give me some insights with this.
    Cheers!

Mes Yeux surely not caring about what anybody else thinks and doing something that makes you happy, regardless of what others say makes someone much more of a "bloke" than only doing things because that's the way society says that "men" should be?

Imagine being so insecure about how MANLY you are that you follow non-existent rules to make sure people you don't even know think you're a REAL MAN. Surely it's way more manly to not give a fuck and do what makes you happy?

Fully agree that hair stylists should be trained to do this in collage, I'm training in wig making at the moment and I'm a hair stylist so who knows... Perhaps it could be a new venture for me, I don't think this procedure is as commonly used in the UK but it definitely should be, great video thanks.

Just had a bit of an emergency. I'm currently waiting for my new systems to arrive from the manufacturers. It's almost been 8 weeks. And my current one is on it's very last leg. But I'm currently on a business trip, and thankfully I packed my regroom kit. So if anyone ever travels a lot generally, make sure you always have a spare kit with you. For such emergencies. One thing I have noticed is the colour has faded, and now in certainly light, it's really noticeable! So pack the hair fibres in your colour just in case!!

Cool. Like I’m using one now. And I use the hair styled up and to the side. It’s a lace. I use tape and there are only two places in Costa Rica where I can get maintenance (is always full) so I try to do it on my own. I got good results. In just two tries.
Now. Can I use that glue? Do you ever use super tape?? That’s what people use over here when they do the maintenance. I kind don’t like the front. Cuz you can really tell I’m using the piece. I don’t cae that much. But I wish I could make is seamless. Is there a way to do it with super tape.
I take the tape away every week and put new one. Takes about an hour to do everything. I’m glad I could your channel. People is not talking much about this, we all need tips. Thanks

Hi Phil I had some questions before I get in this journey. How long does your system work, I have really oil skin and sweat a lot, specially during summers. Also I do live in nyc and you know the humidity is crazy. I’m in my 30s and balding have been thinking of having a system in. My questions are the cost, how much?, how long does it last in my skin and environment, I do go to beach and swim a lot also, would this be a problem, like a the piece coming off and lastly been checking a lot of RUclips videos majority of the hairline looks very fake and you can tell person has a system on, I see how you style your hair and can’t tell you have a system on
