As a Tibetan Buddhist, I really enjoy watching all of your videos on Buddhism. You're such a genius! In my eyes, a genius is someone who can take complicated ideas or subjects and break them down into easily understandable explanations, and you do that flawlessly in all of your videos. Please keep doing what you're doing! 🙏🏻👍🏻💪🏻✨🍃😇

You’re a great teacher brother. I’ve been adopted as a Mahayana Buddhist by my local temple recently, however I’ve been self practicing for many years off and on. You explain the Dharma in a very unique and engaging way, quite like my current teacher at my temple. Your channel is one of the reasons I got back into Buddhism, so I thank you so much for that. May you keep prospering my friend. 🙏🏼☸️

It was here, i quickly realized, that our paths did not cross nor will they ever. Our paths were never separate, or different. The i and you are the same. So to are the path. The illusion of time and space may seem to give "us" difference, individulism, yet the common goal and self discipline conquers all illusions. We practice the correct ways, because we are the way, as we open that single window, we that are one path acknowledges the truth. Blessed be our days forever, because forever is all we are...

Hello, I've come to realize, that Buddhist monasteries aren't very welcoming, to people who are ready to join, right now, despite their limited experience. I also feel, that maybe Buddhism might be limited, in it's doctrine. I've joined Christian programs and learned a lot. I've tried the Harri Krishna's, but realized the cultural issues, in that as well. I'm seeking help, to find a place in America, where I can live in a spiritual community, that at the very least, mediates, eats vegetarian, and serves others. If it be a Buddhist monastery, id love to give it a try, if it doesn't make me jump through loops, that hinder my growth. Anyones assistance would be appreciated. Thank you.

It is a wheel because they all work together, once the seeker becomes aware of impermanence his desires are diminished, and slowly he learns to stop grasping, as he realizes his desires cause suffering. Once reaching enlightenment, you realize that these states are fleeting, so you must let go of attachment, even to these states which we find pleasant

As a non westerner who ironically discover Buddhism from Westerner back a couple years ago (despite my country having a history of hundreds-thousands of Buddhist Empire), I find the western approach to Buddhism to be somewhat overcomplicated. Most westerners treat Buddhism as if it's a philosophical branch with endless reasoning and convoluted systematic study. While it's true that Buddhism has a very subtle and profound discernment of the world and mind, the way Buddha teaches people seems to be a lot simpler and directly adapted to each character. The higher teachings usually directed towards advanced practitioner who got stuck or Devas. That being said, I find this video to be a very good approach as it is in line with what various monks have taught me.
According to forest monk practitioners in Thailand, it is important to keep the practice simple and purposeful (know what you exactly aim for). For a lay person, simply contemplate (Vipasanna-Bhavana) The Three Marks of Existence (Tilakkhana) which contains: impermanence (Anicca), suffering (Dukkha), non-self (Anatta). Contemplate it in accordance with your daily life, character, and wisdom. Apply it during work, rest, socializing, etc in order to sharpen wisdom (Panna). Perform sitting (could be performed by standing, walking, or lying down) meditation (Samatha-Bhavana) when you have free time each day to sharpen mindful awareness (sati). For beginners, it involves observing your in-out breath. If you practice dilgently, soon you will discover how your paradigm shifts.
Also don't forget to uphold the 5 precepts, these are non-negotiable as it is a crucial part of mind-body purification. Consult with local monks about your practice instead of recklessly making personal interpretation.
      I hope it helps.

Loved this video. Teared up a little, like the kind when you look at the Mountain View from atop a cliff. I’m an audio editor and want to make similar videos about Buddhism, but I thought I’d ask if by any chance you’re looking for a partnership or hiring. Any way, thank you for making this video, it is always enlightening to hear different ways of explaining the dharma and I had a few moments of deep realization about my own path whilst listening to it.
It’s always beautiful when you listen to a lecture or read a sutra and for a moment think about how it relates to your elephant footprint only for it to be addressed directly immediately after

You have written this comment so beautifully, friend, and it really touched me! My channel is still not big enough for me to consider partnership and hiring, but you can always reach me via email if I can be of use to you in the setting up of your own channel.
      I also love your username!

Can you make a video about The Tibetan Book of the Death (The Bardo Thodol)? I've been really curious about The Tibetan Book of the Dead. I've tried reading it in both Tibetan and English, but it's been quite challenging to fully grasp its meaning. To make things easier, I even gave the audiobook narrated by Richard Gere a shot. But guess what? I ended up falling asleep! 🧐🥲😭🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Wow, thank you for the generous donation, my friend! The Bardo Thodol is one of the topics I aim to cover... but I have some way to go in terms of research and comprehension to be able to do a decent video on it.

Thank you for your hard work, and have a wonderful day. 🙏🏻💪🏻👍🏻🔥

Buddha says that all existence are senseless floating dust (materials and energy) tranforming all the time by causes and effects in our words, behaviors, and thoughts. All forms / things are floating dust, and so are feelings, thoughts (which are just neural signals), causes and effects, and all existence. Beings are running around tired in the dust, because our attention is put and dragged by the dust, just like our feelings and anlysis rise when we see films, which are only dust (lights and sounds) transforming. Dust tells us nothing, but we built illusive thoughts upon the dust, causing the painful birth-death cycle on and on. If bad guys are harming us, we raise bad feelings, thoughts, and behaviors, planting bad condition in our future, which are all just dust transforming. What we can do is to train ourselves see the illusive bad guys back to the dust, thus evil feelings, thoughts, and behaviors would have not base to exist, and so would the birth-death cycle. I tried this method on decreasing my lust and anger, and it works really well! More is told in Heart Sutra, Vajra / Diamond Sutra, Surangama Sutra, and Prajna Sutra by Buddha.

It is difficult to express how this video effect puts me in tears, as since I was hit by lightning while writing a sermon 24 years ago for a friend to preach in a Christian church . I have realized there is something else going here . I know for a while I knew in part a small part as I see as a "fish out of the water" thinking I can survive on the ground breathing oxygen from air in place of the water when it is Nirvana I seek all this time . I am humbled by the story of the Bull elephant. Please accept my sincere gratitude for offering such assistance to my beloved spiritual brother....

I asked an elderly monk a question I seek the last 67 years since my coming to this world, What is the Purpose of Life?
His answer is simple yet profound, Living the Eightfold Paths.
After watching this video, I got more clarity and motivated to follow the Path.

I see similarities between Buddha and Jesus (Yeshua), as it pertains to their way of living.
With that being said; it's kind of hard to improve your karmic future when you don't remember your karmic past. i.e. it's hard to learn when you have no memory. However, I suppose recognizing that the concept of Karma is real, is the potential for improvement on ones Karmic future.

Hello, I'm a Christian but I have recently been looking into Buddhism which has just turned my who perception of reality on it's head. I was speaking with a Muslim and he asked me what the meaning of life was, but I did not want to give him a generic answer. If there is a meaning to life, then what is it, according to the Buddha?
    Thanks.

Your video is educative. About the eight fold path, I know where the Buddha taught this. Many of the ancient sangarams are today villages. There is one unique village name which is NAWADA meaning eight promises. These villages are common in Bihar. Eight promises can be translated as the eight fold path. It seems these villages had the pleasure of the Buddha preaching to the distant ancesters of the present day villagers, ‘The eight fold path’. Infact Sariputra became an Arhat in a sangaram called NAWADA in Vaishali.

All you have to do is ignore your mindtalk and just become the witness. You are NOT your thoughts….you are the awareness of them. The eyes of the soul 😊🙏💙. No words or teachings needed!!! Transcendence of your ego. The egoless realm is the only real reality. I’ve been there. Heaven on earth.

Now if Buddhists only worked at closing down the slaughterhouses that would at least be something. Other than that it is sub religious and atheistic but it can also be a stepping stone to higher awareness in the realm of theism and can also help people to become less sinful and more pious hopefully. Voidism isn't real life.

Buddhism is a religion to the degree that it dictates how one should behave.
One who is truly awakened is not bound by codes of conduct. He simply is the pure expression of wisdom, and follows the right course of action naturally and effortlessly.
To live in a consciousness of codes of behavior is to dwell in duality. To dwell in duality is religion itself.

Thank you, but from 13:26, if *understanding* is a step to allow transformation, doesn't it create a similar obsession on _overcoming_ what is not yet understood?
Couldn't transformation happen when we realise we do not understand what we thought we knew?
