You need to be online if you want to play ac with friends or others just like everyone else. I know discord might seem intimidating but you can get the most help there. Head over to the bottom section where it says hbrew-sysbot-help or poker-nhse and you can ask any questions there =) We have a lot more functionality on the server to help better explain and answer your questions as I only look at my RUclips comments once in a blue moon!

Yes, you're fine to update on CFW or normal. It doesn't matter where you do it. And yes you can connect to the internet without being banned. I have more information in my latest Switch Modding FAQ video in regards to what you need to know for Bans
Whenever I try to boot up my switch with the CFW It boots up with the logo of AMS but it turns off right after and when I try to turn it on the CFW is not there anymore.

No need for an emu for playing Pokémon. You can do all save editing on sys online as it's safe. You can join the discord and ask questions if you'd like in the support channels at the bottom

Hello I’ve run into and issue where I’ve had eveything done and CFW working. Modded on PKHeX but when I go to restore my file I no longer can get to the CFW by holding R and selecting an app. How do I resolve this
That NH Switch Guide you were on says it's important to have at least one eShop game/app downloaded before you install CFW. Do you know why that is? What if my switch has nothing on it?

at 10:21 it says how it will delete everything on your switch, i have digital games on it, will those go away..? i didnt have an sd card in when i downloaded those games (like ACNH) so would they stay?
If you didn't have an SD card in then they are saved to the switches internal memory so no they won't be deleted. But if they were on the sd card yes. So you'll have to back up the nintendo folder or just redownload the game from the shop. Your save data doesn't get erased either way
Just modded my second switch.. everything went perfectly but my SD card is EXFAT (I wasn’t able to format it to FAT32) and now it crashes when I try to launch from Hekate
There’s so many details for this stuff I’ve watched so many guides … the thing I’m not sure about is should I get a physical copy of the Pokémon game because it doesn’t make sense to connect online download a Pokémon game etc if I have to delete my online account wouldn’t that just mess up my save data on the Pokémon game? But when youre switch is new, you can't really mod it whitout a very expensive and hard to ged stick. All switches that came after a certain datum where patched, all new ones inclusive. Sadly uu

I had the same problem. After digging around online I found that you have to go to "Tools", "Archive Bit - AutoRCM" on the right bottom, then "Fix Archive Bit". After that it worked fine for me! (and sorry, I know I'm kind a day late here lol)

Late but, just don't format it. Windows doesn't like Fat32 but it'll let you use it if you just say no. If that doesn't work I don't know.

It's so you can title launch into homebrew. Just download something free like RUclips

You didn't put the right files in your bootloader folder. Try doing the instructions again in the written guide

Not possible easily. The later switch models were built to bot be modded, so you would need to *replace* a chip inside your switch to mod it.
