@colemannixy I noticed the girl showing the polled hereford calf has the same last name as the kid who won. wonder if they are related? Anyway I'd have gone with the polled hereford. Too bad they rarely get the recognition, just as it was back in the 70's and 80's when I use to show. 3 hereford champions at the state show were all better calves than the exotic I won grand champion with in my 4th year. seems like nothings changed except back then it was rare to see a light colored calf win.
THESE BEASTS DOES NOT SEEM TO STARVE!
THESE BEASTS DO NOT SEEM TO STARVE! (SMALL CORTECTION).

The black young boy leading around the Hereford should have one that class fair and square

It seems like the "smokey" calves always win. I have a smokey calf this year:)
Both kids who had the champion Polled Hereford and the Grand Steer are brother/sister.
jagger horn shoulda been reserve
I like the Polled Hereford But the smokey calve that won had a bigger butt and alot of more muscle .
that hereford steer that came in the ring 2nd in line was huge
