Here is an update on Russian losses. It looks bad for them...
Russia has lost 410,700 troops in Ukraine since the beginning of its full-scale invasion on Feb. 24, 2022, the General Staff of Ukraine's Armed Forces reported on Feb. 26.
This number includes 880 casualties Russian forces suffered just over the past day.
Russia has also lost 6,555 tanks, 12,478 armored fighting vehicles, 13,037 vehicles and fuel tanks, 9,993 artillery systems, 1,000 multiple launch rocket systems, 686 air defense systems, 340 airplanes, 325 helicopters, 7,707 drones, as well as 25 warships and boats, and one submarine.
I don't know that I trust peace... but I want my friends safe..

The most significant thing about the losses of Russia's Black Sea fleet is less the number of ships and more that they no longer dare to show themselves in the western Black Sea. That allows Ukrainian grain exports. Ukraine now ships more than before the invasion.
Avdiivka has been on the front since 2014. Took russia long enough. Looking forward to the day Ukraine gets it back. Which will happen, it's only a matter of aid. We must step up.

Im absolutely sick about what our congress is doing. Please believe me when I say most americans still stand with Ukraine. If republican representatives really wanted to get this done, they could remove johnson and pick a speaker supportive of Ukraine...but as I say, I suspect that they have no desire to actually do that....or it would have been done by now. Thirdly, the reason Biden was measured in his initial release of F16s and long range missiles, was simple, but like all MAGA republicans you were not paying attention. The reason was that putin was continually threatening nuclear war if certain red lines were crossed. This was particularly true in the first year of war and it made ALL world leaders wary of going 'too far'. Biden crossed each red line, one at a time in a calm but measured way. And what he proved to the world was that he had slowly and surely called putin's bluff.
So, no, the democrats are "not just as bad." They are actually DOING SOMETHING.

To me it seems like this is just typical predicatable Maffia tactics of Putin. Use excessive force and disproportionally much violance to scare people into submission and make people fall in line and minimize the risk of an uprising.
Perhaps this is the same tactics that nazi guards used when a train with 7000 jews arrived to a nazi death camp. The guards were only say 150 people. So if everyone started to resist and fight back or began to panic and try to flee... then the tiny number of guards could easily get outnumbered and overwhelmed. So to get people to walk down into the dressing room and then gas chambers people were lied to and told that they were going to get a shower. But many did not believe those lies. So to prevent an escape attempt, even the most tiny breaking of the rules were punished extreme violance... with machine gun bursts, knife stabs in front of everyones eyes so everyone would be too afraid to do anything else than what the guards had ordered them to.
Two of my favourite people are Operator Starsky and Anna from Ukraine; my least favoured people are the unholy RF trinity of Putin - Trump - Carlson.

I would argue that any country which can disable 1/3 of the Russian black sea fleet has a very significant naval force. In the case of Ukraine, its naval force consists if rubber inflatables and drones and a tremendous amount of skill, deturmination, inventive and imaginative strategy This must not be understated. The rest of the world is now reading about what Ukrainian navy has done with the Black Sea Fleet and are making hurried plans about what to do with their own naval forces..
