Wow, what an astounding relief. I was diagnosed with psoriasis in 2011 and in 2021 I was diagnosed with Psoriatic Arthritis and let me tell you, it is no joke. The stiffness, tightness and swolleness of my hands and other joints (fingers ,knees, elbows and ankles) use to hurt so bad and made me walk like a 90 yr old woman but I found a good rheumatologist. I'm not 💯 yet but I'm a whole lot better than before. I think this young lady has found one of the best Doctors and she looks very brand new. God bless this Dr. ❤❤❤

Lucy looks so happy after treatment. She has a sparkle in her eyes that wasn't there with the flare up. It would be awesome if all doctors were so caring. 😊
How wonderful for you Lucy. I was suffering from this awful psoriasis this past year. With the lock down in our state I had to wait over 3 months for my doctor appointment. I live in Hawaii and I couldn't believe what I was going through. While waiting months for my appointment , my skin got worst. It started to break open, I managed to care for it with wound bandages. I went through hell. I cried when I was alone. I'm in my mid 60s and pretty much by myself during the day. It was an awful time. Then I saw my Dr. finally, she put me on the same treatment as Lucy. Within 2 months my skin got better. I have scaring, but that's normal. Thank you Lucy for your story and best wishes to you in life. Aloha
Out of all the videos I have seen from this doctor this by far brought more happiness to me than any! Very happy to see this young woman finally found happiness! This doctor is truly blessed!!!
This is a curable illness. Look up Anthony William the Medical Medium. His information gave me my life back. Wishing you the best in your healing journey ♥️
That's amazing. I'm so glad for her. I had psoriasis since I was very young. It's a very hard disease to deal with. When I was 15 a lifeguard kicked me out of a swimming pool because of it. I told him psoriasis wasn't contagious. Then when I was around 30 my psoriasis mostly went away on its own. I still have scaly feet and scalp and some other spots on my body but nothing like when I was young. I"m in my 60's now. It's amazing the medications they have for psoriasis at this time. I used to have to use a sticky clear cream and wrap plastic wrap around my legs and arms.. I'm so happy for this young women they can do so much more now for people with psoriasis. Thank God for this wonderful help in controlling psoriasis. I believe psoriasis can be caused by how we handle stress. At least that's how I feel.
Man, what a video to watch. Real impact. Beautiful woman just knocked in the dirt because of something she has no control out of. The before and after is just amazing. The pain of the joints is squashed by the confidence she has in the transformation. Good for her.....
I had first flare up of psoriasis at 17.. by late 20's covered head to toe like Lucy, at 39 went on methotrexate... and never looked back. I thank the dermatology doctor who took the chance to prescribe it, as it can be quite a toxic drug, blood tests every monthwithout fail, also liver biopsies every year. But now totally clear and living and thriving every day.
What medication did you take? I have a very bad condition like her and I can't take oral medications because of fatty liver. Did your have to go to liver biopsies to check the side effect or other reason? I can only get biologists which have serious side effects and I prefer not to go for it. but I don't have a lot of choices since it's become worse.
@@kkkk4050 I don't have a severe case of psoriasis but I have flare up of psoriasis on my neck and I had to go to the doctor and my dermatology doctor told me to buy Bonalfa and Elocom (creams that I buy at the pharmacy and they are for cutaneous use). She told me to put Bonalfa on the morning and Elocom at night 5 days a week for 4 weeks and then 2 days a week for 8 weeks. She told me to use it carefully because they have cortisol. It works very well on me. But I recommend you to ask your dermatology doctor, maybe for a more severe case is not that useful and maybe the treatment can change depending on the person. Sorry for my English if you see any mistake
My mums on methotrexate too as she was prone to blood poisoning through her skin cracking. Its made the world of difference to her and she too has to have regular blood tests. Its amazing what it can do x
Poor lucy. I am so glad the treatment worked for her. I have dyshidrotic eczema and while it's not nearly as bad, it drives me insane with how itchy and painful it is. I can't imagine having it over 90% of my body. So happy for her.
I feel like she makes a shit ton of unnecessary comments, probably because she's a little awkward. But everyone overlooks it because she says it with a smile on her face. I have psoriasis and if a doctor ever told me something like she did I would ask them wtf that comment was about
I agree the comment about the skin feeling like corn flakes was unnecessary and unprofessional. I have eczema and Ichthyosis vulgaris and have had many people make unwanted comments about my skin. I’m super sensitive and if she said your skin feels like sand paper like my Dad use to say or the many other things people have said I think I’d cry inside.
man i got so happy watching this... my mother has an extremely bad skin condition and she’s gone to countless of doctors and they didn’t know wether it’s psoriasis or eczema... she’s gone on so many medications that are very harmful to her body but nothing really worked. I wish i had a doctor like this around me to help my mom to get to this level
Dr. Emma is so empathetic. Many doctors are great at what they do, but it's obvious they can't really "feel" the patient's pain like Dr. Emma does. Dr. Pimple Popper got me hooked on this, but Dr. Emma keeps me coming back now.
I have psoriasis, and went through 12+ frustrating years of trying anything and everything to even put a dent into it. I couldn't sleep, I couldn't concentrate, I couldn't function, I was sleep deprived. The pain, the itch, the mess, the bleeding... and it was all over my body like hers was. I tried Humira, Methotrexate, lots of stuff. The itch alone sent me into panic attacks. Not only do you itch, but the medical staff tell you 'don't scratch it" (and I mean, fair), but soon enough the itch starts stinging you, and even if you do touch/tap/scratch it, IT GOT WORSE sometimes. The pain though. There wasn't one sleeping position I could sleep in where I wasn't in pain. I only slept because of sheer exhaustion. It only cleared up with Cosentyx, and then they switched me to Skyrizi. To all my psoriasisters and psoriabrothers; keep fighting.
Finally someone that knows what they are talking about, all these stupid ass comment that a vegan diet or a carnivore diet will cure it etc piss me right off I am on cosentyx! Like you tried everything under the effing sun and cosentyx is the only thing that actually worked. Thank fudge for biological drugs, I only wish cosentyx was out before I was so old, I have been fighting this condition since I was 4 years old...
I have a skin condition that took YEARS to diagnose...honestly, really means, YEARS. It looks a lot like what Lucy has, and that is what so many doctors thought. I’m so happy Lucy found some good treatments.
I'm so sorry that was your experience. There are so many conditions that for some is hard to diagnose. But this one should have been easy. I'm glad you have the diagnosis and are hopefully getting treatment.
My dermatologist took one look at me aged 7 and said to my mother "she has psoriasis. lets get a biopsy to confirm." And indeed I have psoriasis. The psoriatic arthritis though was a little difficult to diagnose in my case. It started in my mid 30s. I have been dealing with it 30 years now.
Lucy is an incredibly brave and beautiful woman. I don't know how I'd survive if my body was doing this to me. I already struggle now, I can't imagine constantly being itchy and in pain and being stared at in public... How awful. She's a legend.
I have psoriasis myself and it can affect your mental health so bad, I am on medication and it has done wonders, bravo to this caring and compassionate doctor, we need more like her
OMG! Seeing at the beginning brought tears to my eyes, for her suffering, then seeing her at the end brought even more tears to my eyes! So glad she has under control.
its really inspiring to see how some people suffer so much but keeps going, i'm not even sure i would still want to live if i had such a condition. such a brave woman
I’ve had psoriasis for the past 9 years and it takes such a huge toll on the body as well as the mind. Mine isn’t half as bad as hers and I felt miserable. I can only imagine how much she had to endure. Hopefully her body can maintain this, I know that with time a lot of the treatments become less and less effective.
So happy this young lady has made great improvement. I suffered 10 years with 40% coverage and joint pain!! Humira and now on Cosentyx has made a 99% remission. I'm lucky my health insurance pays for the monthly injections. Very expensive and a life changer.
I had around 40% myself but was lucky enough to be without join pain. I'm on Humira myself and i have the same results as you and it's amazing, going to be the first summer in many many years where i actually buy a pair of shorts! I'm lucky enough to live in Sweden and after having payed 235 euro in total costs for prescribed medications it's free for a full year, regardless of what you buy. The costs for a one year supply of injections costs around 7800 euros and it would be impossible for me to afford otherwise.
Here in the US it’s around $2500 USD Per month. Co- pay assistance programs have helped many in my group! Cheers that this has worked for so many!! For me joint damage is irreversible. But wearing shorts and going to the beach makes up for it.
I’m blown away she saw that much improvement not on a biologic. My brother was on humira bc of his crohns for about 2 years. I don’t think I could give myself a shot like that
Having had many problems with my own skin, I have to praise the great dermatologists that treated me. Does this doctor realize what relief she has brought the patient? I hope so! God bless her!
I agree! She said they want to discuss all the options available. It would have been very educational to hear them discuss what to do. Sadly there are countries without health insurance/ state funded health care. For them it would be very valuable information what to buy.....
@@jupitersnoot4915 Would possibly depend on the treatment though - there's a difference between saying she's afflicted on TV, that she's been treated etc. and fully outlining every discussion and possible treatment plan.

I absolutely LOVED this episode, my heart broke for her seeing how red and sore she looked, and then to see the difference of a doctor who cared enough to actually look at her symptoms and help her! I then felt absolutely over the moon for her seeing how happy she is, how she feels confident again and be able to be the best mum she can to her little one, she absolutely suffered a lot, and she deserved to be able to feel “normal” and free from her pain, even if it may only last a while, I wish her nothing but the best going forward for her future, and her health, I suffer with a chronic condition that effects my whole body, so I know what pain is like, BUT my heart absolutely broke seeing how bad she looked in the beginning, I’m so happy now, well done Dr Emma! I have rheumatoid arthritis and when I have a flare that we cannot get under control, methotrexate is the treatment that I receive, as well. Methotrexate is no joke. It’s low-dose oral chemotherapy. I’m really happy that she’s responding so well. It makes me incredibly sick and I have to be at my wits end to agree to take it.
I have psoriatic arthritis and have weekly injections instead of the tablets which made me sick. My Father is covered in psoriasis and I feel so sorry for anyone who has it so bad.
I understand, I hate methotrexate with a passion, the side effects are horrible . At the same time the disease is also horrible, it’s hard to choose which pain and discomfort to go through. I’ve been off it for over a tiers now, but I have to go back on as the original skin disease is getting totally out of control .
I understand. I suffer from severe atopic dermatitis and also have to use methotrexate, it's especially bad during pandemic cause I live in fear of getting covid.... anyways, we're not alone. Cheers from Brazil!!
Did i read it right? Chemotherapy? Woah i didnt know these medications were that strong, i didnt even try to come close to steroids which can also become addictive and do more damage than Proriasis itself, i just soak under sunlights on a daily basis & it helps with my Psoriasis, i wish there were less potent medications, im 25 i wanna live my life and not destroy my immune system in order to pause the Psoriasis cycle while leaving myself open for other infections & sickness due to a weakened immune system.

My Grandson suffers from Excema, big time. But he’s on some medication and is finally getting some relief after 20 years of suffering. Took away his entire childhood.
My dad had echzma all his life too he tried all sorts and the thing that got rid of his was actually stinging nettles. He rubbed it on his skin every 3 or 4 days and it completely cleared up after 4 weeks. Try it on a small area first and my dad said it, stung obviously but, nothing he wasn't used to we the constant itch all time was rather soothing.

@@nikolaquinn9973 I’m glad you said this! I’ve had psoriasis since I was 7 and the amount of people who try to tell us change your diet, try this, try that. I'm sure as hell not having any now that I know people have and will continue to lie to me saying this shit doesn't hurt.
She looks, and feels like a different person what an amazing result . Every doctor should watch this to see what it means to be a truly effective, and compassionate doctor.
People that have psoriasis really suffer in many ways. So happy this MD was able to help her.❤️
she’s so pretty. i’m so glad she found relief, i can’t imagine how painful that must have been. she’s very strong
Wow! That improvement in only 2 months is practically magic. What a transformation! She was able to wear shoes! Seeing how swollen and inflamed her skin was brought tears to my eyes. I'm glad she's gotten some relief!
I feel so much relief seeing her skin clear! I can't imagine how painful that was.
This woman is a powerhouse goddess for bearing with that skin condition. I can't even imagine! She's so beautiful, I'm so glad they were able to help her and set her free!
Cant imagine the mental toll on her
Lucy is naturally very beautiful. I'm very happy she was able is clear up her skin so successfully.
Lucy was still pretty to begin with, but now she's just glowing! I'm so happy for her. Plus the doctor seems to listen to what the patient needs, unlike so many doctors today. Very happy for Lucy.
What an amazing difference ! I'm so happy for her. You could see that she was on the verge of tears at her first visit, but she couldn't stop smiling at the second visit. She's a beautiful young lady.
Aloha
Are you still on methotrexate? How is your psoriasis now?
Out of all the videos I have seen from this doctor this by far brought more happiness to me than any! Very happy to see this young woman finally found happiness! This doctor is truly blessed!!!
And I thought my psoriasis was bad
Sending all the love to her she is so brave and looks so much better
And sending love to you!
I've got it too. Much love and healing energy to you. XOXO 💗
Y’all and us eczema suffers have a different go at life. Peace and blessings 💕
I did not expect her to change that much I was literally blown away. She looks amazing
I’m on the same medication as you for mine x
Are you on Methotrexate pills or injections? Any side effects for you?
Poor lucy. I am so glad the treatment worked for her. I have dyshidrotic eczema and while it's not nearly as bad, it drives me insane with how itchy and painful it is. I can't imagine having it over 90% of my body. So happy for her.
I have it too. The d e. Allergy rashes is no good.
cant be mad to someone so nice even if she said her back looked like corn flakes
@@jenhopkins8867 some doctors need more training... I have hyperkeratosis and doctors have been talking shit in my face for about ten years
Q××
I've eczema and I wouldn't care.
man i got so happy watching this... my mother has an extremely bad skin condition and she’s gone to countless of doctors and they didn’t know wether it’s psoriasis or eczema... she’s gone on so many medications that are very harmful to her body but nothing really worked. I wish i had a doctor like this around me to help my mom to get to this level
Poor girl, she looks like she's given up on herself, I'm so glad this dermatologist is going to help her, what a lovley person who cares 🌺
My grandfather and mother suffered from this horrible condition. Glad to see this woman find some relief!
Dr. Emma is so empathetic. Many doctors are great at what they do, but it's obvious they can't really "feel" the patient's pain like Dr. Emma does. Dr. Pimple Popper got me hooked on this, but Dr. Emma keeps me coming back now.
Yeah she's sympathetic/empathetic without making a huge deal out of the condition, or making the patient self conscious.
What did it end up being diagnosed as?
@@kaley4788 I'd like to know too
I'm so sorry that was your experience.
This doc is very nice person and thanks to her, she helped this young woman, ❤
Bless her! The pain and itching must be horrible not to mention her joint pain and mental health. What an understanding and pleasant dr.
I have psoriasis myself and it can affect your mental health so bad, I am on medication and it has done wonders, bravo to this caring and compassionate doctor, we need more like her
Omg 😱 this poor woman my heart hurts for her. I'm so happy that dr. Emma's regimen helped her get relief.
I'm so happy to see her better. Autoimmune disease is truly the worst.
Ive never been so happy watching one of these. To see this precious person healed
Wow, that difference is incredible! I'm so glad that the doctor could help her - poor girl was clearly suffering.
So glad you were able to find relief! Autoimmune disease can be so difficult to manage. I hope you continue to stay well.
Here in the US it’s around $2500 USD
Per month.
I don’t think I could give myself a shot like that
I’ve been on cosentyx for almost 2 years now for a rare type of pustular psoriasis. Changed my life. I feel so much empathy for this woman.
Having had many problems with my own skin, I have to praise the great dermatologists that treated me. Does this doctor realize what relief she has brought the patient? I hope so! God bless her!
Dr. Emma is such a lovely person. I wish we had doctors like her in my area.
Would have been good if they had shown more of the actual treatment involved, what medications were prescribed, etc.
Probably a breach of patient privacy, or they don’t want people trying it on the black market
The doctor says methotrexate around 8 minutes in.
I agree! She said they want to discuss all the options available. It would have been very educational to hear them discuss what to do. Sadly there are countries without health insurance/ state funded health care. For them it would be very valuable information what to buy.....
@@ifihadfriends437 I mean, the patient is already showing their face on TV, AND their name. I think patient privacy is the least of the concerns here.
@@jupitersnoot4915 Would possibly depend on the treatment though - there's a difference between saying she's afflicted on TV, that she's been treated etc. and fully outlining every discussion and possible treatment plan.
I'm so happy for Lucy. I have 3 daughters who all suffer with this horrible disease. Thankfully no where near as bad as Lucy was.
I used to go school with a girl who had similar skin, I always wanted to ask but I knew that I wouldn’t know the right way to ask so I never did. It wasn’t until watch Kim find she had psoriasis I learned. I am thankful for this woman sharing her story with us! ❤️
That poor woman, it looked horribly painful in the beginning. I hope the treatments will continue to work for her.
Dr Emma is so patient and explains in clear language the cause & treatments. This poor girl is so beautiful but in her Eczema has become so red and angry and painful all over her body.
Wow the difference is amazing. She pain must've been terrible.
Wow!! I'm so happy for Lucy!! Her skin looks amazing and her bright smile speaks volumes! The doctor is an angel! What compassion and care! I wish ALL doctors treated their patients this way!
God blessed your hands Dr. Emma, to see her skin all red brought tears to my eyes I couldn’t imagine how painful that must be. So happy for her to have her life back. ♥️🙏🏽🎊

I'm so happy she got help, I know this had to be debilitating.
Quality doctor..and what a brave lady suffering terribly. I can't imagine how horrible it is for her.
So pleased she got the help she so desperately needed 😊
I am thrilled for her. Hopefully she stays that clear and pain free FOR HER ENTIRE REMAINING LIFE!
What a wonderful doctor,to make this young girl so normal and no pain x
Xoxo 💋 😊❤😊❤
This doctor is great. Knowledgeable and very genuine.
Wow watching this made me tear up. Full on tears. What a brave young lady! I cant imagine the physical and emotional pain!
This young woman will see relieve almost instantly. I have the samething she has( no where near as severe as hers) on my feet and as soon as it's treated I instantly feel better. I hope she does too.
Her fingernails are BEAUTIFUL btw😊
This video was very informative and interesting. It certainly helped me to have more emphaty for those suffering from psoriasis. The doctor showed such genuine concern and kindness...I wish more doctors were like her!
Thumbs up to the doctor for helping this lady and God bless the lady that was seeing the doctor she's a very beautiful lady and she deserves better life
Her trembling in pain is so heartbreaking
Poor girl. I know more than most how she feels. Some day I’ll be as healed as she is.
Sara how do you feel now¿ feeling better.
That's amazing! When she first walked in, I can't imagin the pain she must have felt. This is beyond looks - the quality of her life was immensely improved by that treatment. Cudos to the doctor!
I'm so happy for her. I'm happy that people that suffer through something like this can have a cure or a way to stop it before it gets worse. It looked so painful and uncomfortable. I'm happy she is doing better.
I take it and have no problems with it. When I have a bad flare I take an aleve. Sorry you are have problems with it
Did i read it right? Chemotherapy? Woah i didnt know these medications were that strong, i didnt even try to come close to steroids which can also become addictive and do more damage than Proriasis itself, i just soak under sunlights on a daily basis & it helps with my Psoriasis, i wish there were less potent medications, im 25 i wanna live my life and not destroy my immune system in order to pause the Psoriasis cycle while leaving myself open for other infections & sickness due to a weakened immune system.
That poor girl. I've had flareups on my hands from time to time, where I even hated to wash them. The itching and burning won't even let you sleep. I'm so glad she got help from that awful condition.
You just want to give the poor lass a hug but you would be scared to because you would hurt her.
Absolutely amazing! Thank you to this amazing doctor for making this young woman feel normal!!❤
I have psoriasis but this is the most severe, inflamed and painful looking I’ve seen. Poor girl, she must be in constant pain & her body must feel like it’s on fire 😢
Omg. My heart goes out to her. You're not disgusting. You're amazing. 100% unique and beautiful in every way. Stay strong m'laday.
I love this doctor. Very relatable and approachable.
That transformation though... the confidence she has... 🥺
Lucy and this doctor both seem like amazing people. What a great treatment!
I’m on methotrexate for lupus and couldn’t live without it. I’m so glad it’s helped her as much as it helps me. For all the negative reviews of this drug it’s given me quality of life. Really happy for her. ❤️
Beautiful young woman. So glad she was able to get the help she needed.
I'm so happy for her 😊 She was struggling and suffering so much from psoriasis. Good job skin magician! 👏
Wow! What a transformation! I have 2 autoimmune conditions and they are no joke! I've now developed psoriasis too but this was on another scale! So glad the methotrexate is helping her!

@@Annalyngu Nothing to do with diet! It's an auto immune disease
@@nikolaquinn9973 I’m glad you said this! I’ve had psoriasis since I was 7 and the amount of people who try to tell us change your diet, try this, try that. I’ve had it for over two decades and tried everything. The only thing that helps it is the steroid topicals from the dermatologist and methotrexate when it was really bad. Also a good thick skin cream like Cerave, for just keeping the spots from getting too dry and cracking.

It's nice when doctors don't dismiss one's concerns but even better when they actually address them.
Would love to know what they used to treat her to get those kinds of results.
I am guessing it's an immunosuppressant, which is not without risks.
This is not exactly something you can
dismiss either to be fair
