Try different foods to see what inflames your condition and what reduces the inflammation. I find goats cheese and goats milk, okra, green leafy veg, celery, carrots, oily fish definitely help my inflammatory arthritis and reduce inflammation. I stay away from processed food, white sugar, white rice, white bread, coke, vinegar, potatoes, oranges, tomatoes, other citrus fruits. This diet definitely helps me. I also got the mirena coil taken out as not having a period for many years caused inflammation. I don't have psoriasis but have a co worker who has had it many years and she finds taking evening primrose oil really helps her. Trying different things to see what works and what doesn't is the best way I think. I don't take any medication apart from pain relief like paracetamol and ibuprofen and vitamins and minerals including krill, fish oil for my joints.Hope you find treatment that works as I came off methotrexate as it was no longer working for me. Everyone is different. I wish you luck xx

@F-zero91maru Mostly an auto immune disease, it can become worse, or apparent via a trauma or something, for me when i tore my nose apart, it began to start and getting worse for so many years. It doesn't infect anyone or anything,( I remember my grandma being so concious about my situation, she even didn't let me touch her ^^") but it can spread through wounds. I know that cause it always happens for me, and when getting serious, it goes to joints and cause swelling situation like rehumatism. Not all psoriasis people have arthritis but when they get it, it can become life changing. Although having a healthy diet and being light weighted helps alot

It does make sense. Pregnancy interrupts the natural immune system of the mother so as to keep it from attacking the developing baby. After birth, it tries to get back to normal, but just can't get it right again, attacking the wrong things instead of the right things.

IDK if they do it in the UK, but we have caught people and organizations intentionally hiding how chaotic and destructive pregnancy is to women's bodies in America so that in our ignorance we will have more babies. We're straight up lied to about a lot of that process. It's pathetic. Maybe if someone had ever been honest with me I would want to have kids. I'm sure as hell not having any now that I know people have and will continue to lie to me saying this shit doesn't hurt.

How wonderful for you Lucy. I was suffering from this awful psoriasis this past year. With the lock down in our state I had to wait over 3 months for my doctor appointment. I live in Hawaii and I couldn't believe what I was going through. While waiting months for my appointment , my skin got worst. It started to break open, I managed to care for it with wound bandages. I went through hell. I cried when I was alone. I'm in my mid 60s and pretty much by myself during the day. It was an awful time. Then I saw my Dr. finally, she put me on the same treatment as Lucy. I have psoriasis, and went through 12+ frustrating years of trying anything and everything to even put a dent into it. I couldn't sleep, I couldn't concentrate, I couldn't function, I was sleep deprived. The pain, the itch, the mess, the bleeding... and it was all over my body like hers was. I tried Humira, Methotrexate, lots of stuff.
The itch alone sent me into panic attacks. Not only do you itch, but the medical staff tell you 'don't scratch it" (and I mean, fair), but soon enough the itch starts stinging you, and even if you do touch/tap/scratch it, IT GOT WORSE sometimes.
The pain though. There wasn't one sleeping position I could sleep in where I wasn't in pain. I only slept because of sheer exhaustion.
It only cleared up with Cosentyx, and then they switched me to Skyrizi.
To all my psoriasisters and psoriabrothers; keep fighting.

I'm lucky enough to live in Sweden and after having payed 235 euro in total costs for prescribed medications it's free for a full year, regardless of what you buy. The costs for a one year supply of injections costs around 7800 euros and it would be impossible for me to afford otherwise.
