Suggestion: in many animal species, the males put on colorful show to draw in the female. Many birds, like the superb bird of paradise, carolina parotia, costa’s hummingbird (aka squidface), or the greater sage-grouse, flash their plumage but also mudskippers, smooth newts, and peacock spiders put on a beautiful (and hilarious) display to attract mates. I’d love to see the Drawfee crew take these creatures looking for love and turn them into humans. Really wanting to see Karina design some beautiful clothes for some poor little guy looking for love

i had a funny little thought earlier.. giving each other photos of places (maybe normal places, or liminal spaces, whatever’s more fun) and creating a cryptid or monster to dwell in the area. i just think funny little cryptids and liminal little spaces are just so yummy..

This is such a specific compliment but I LOVE how in Julia’s, the cat has the most detail in the lines but not the most in the colors. So your eyes are first drawn to the window on the left, and THEN you notice the crazy detail on the cat and he pops off the canvas. I’m obsessed with it. I love all of these

i really really respect the drawfee crew as artist so much and all the genuinely wonderful advice they give as like… silly little quips. things like delete your art and how there are no wrong ways to do art. the “art is lying” thing being played for goofs is fun because that’s a genuine professional line of thinking with lots of artists and its just… refreshing to see real art advice be given in this casual and silly goofy way

Suggestion: you should try drawing Discworld characters that you've never heard of/based on their descriptions! There are so many incredible characters, like Nobby Nobbs, Moist von Lipwig, and the Hogfather! These are my favourite books, and I think they could always use more love 🥰 GNU Terry Pratchett
IDK if Julia will see this, but I think CSP lets you export your workspace, including shortcuts. So she could export her preferred setup and have it saved on Jacob's computer for a quick swap when she wants to use it. Or if the layout needs to stay the same, she can start from Jacob's layout, change the shortcuts, and then save as new.

I can't believe they went with "fiddle bees" when everyone knows the word for a pair of them is "fiddleboth" These are incredible. I audibly gasped when Fiddlebee came onto the scene, and Nathan kept that wonder about him. Jacob's Sora pose was beautiful. Karina's twins did look intimidatingly hot. And then we got vintage Julia coolness on the already super cool gunslinging sphinx cat. Wow
I'm only at the part where Nathan starts sketching but THOSE SKETCHES. God I love them. Character turnarounds with accurate proportions is something I'm practicing so this was very impressive even though I know for Nathan it was just a warm up.

These are the kinds of Drawfee videos that I never miss. The ones where the prompt is super specific but also really open to interpretation and personal expression. It really hits that creativity button in my brain. Another one that comes to mind is when you guys did a speed draw based on a three song playlist.

What I like the most about Farce Willoughby(sp?) is that he looks like someone who has perfected his craft so long ago that he can afford to be a bit careless and absent-minded even in the midst/just after a shootout, as it seems to be the case in Julia's drawing (or at least that's how I read it, what with the inert Dobermen that could be interpreted as the baddies and the red splatters which, well, seem self-explanatory). He's just there slowly reloading his revolver, probably while humming a tune, much like a watchmaker with a few decades of experience in his pocket going into a zen-like state the moment they sit down in their bench to disassemble their Nth watch, muscle memory doing most of the work.
holding shift and then tapping will also give you straight lines with whatever brush you're using. I use it in a similar way to how you were describing your way of doing it.

"dobermans are fun" "they're such a good shape" "pointy dogs" they're not like this naturally! What you're seeing is cut ears that have been trained (with wraps and objects or tools forcing the ears in the shape) while a puppy to stand erect. They have floppy, rounded-edge triangle ears naturally. Personally, I'm glad my boy didn't go through that nonsense (I adopted an adult).
I love the idea that somewhere out there, someone opened up their ClipStudio or Photoshop and there was a random "Mug Layer" with Julia's good cups. (New SCP! Not Clickbait?!?!?)

everybody's advice around 32:40 ish about "you can lie" is such amazing advice that i only starting learning recently and i wish i knew it sooner. my art underwent a huge improvement phase once i accepted that not everything had to be perfect and you can make your own rules. art is so weird

These were cool! My favourite was Jacob and Julia’s. Julia’s had the cool vibe with the scene and the neon colours. And Jacob did a cool pose and then really surprised me with how quick he whipped up that cool background, and it looked so good. I love when Drawfee do fan OC fan art. I hope they do more, more regularly. Fans have so many weird and different ideas for their OCs, so there’s a lot of variety and weird and cool stuff I think.
They are completely right when they were talking about how some days you can’t draw a face, something you can always do, but then you get the power to just pop out a pose or whatever no problem. The art gods giveth and taketh away

These are the kinds of Drawfee videos that I never miss. The ones where the prompt is super specific but also really open to interpretation and personal expression. It really hits that creativity button in my brain. Another one that comes to mind is when you guys did a speed draw based on a three song playlist.

What I like the most about Farce Willoughby(sp?) is that he looks like someone who has perfected his craft so long ago that he can afford to be a bit careless and absent-minded even in the midst/just after a shootout, as it seems to be the case in Julia's drawing (or at least that's how I read it, what with the inert Dobermen that could be interpreted as the baddies and the red splatters which, well, seem self-explanatory). He's just there slowly reloading his revolver, probably while humming a tune, much like a watchmaker with a few decades of experience in his pocket going into a zen-like state the moment they sit down in their bench to disassemble their Nth watch, muscle memory doing most of the work.
I think it would be cool if you did an episode where you draw alternate versions of Jacob!

"dobermans are fun" "they're such a good shape" "pointy dogs" they're not like this naturally! What you're seeing is cut ears that have been trained (with wraps and objects or tools forcing the ears in the shape) while a puppy to stand erect. They have floppy, rounded-edge triangle ears naturally. Personally, I'm glad my boy didn't go through that nonsense (I adopted an adult).
I love the idea that somewhere out there, someone opened up their ClipStudio or Photoshop and there was a random "Mug Layer" with Julia's good cups.

that background is one of the best things I've seen Jacob do, and that's saying something. SEriously, Jacob's art in this episode was absolutely stunning. They're all fantastic, but he really showed up on this one.

everybody's advice around 32:40 ish about "you can lie" is such amazing advice that i only starting learning recently and i wish i knew it sooner. my art underwent a huge improvement phase once i accepted that not everything had to be perfect and you can make your own rules. art is so weird

I love when Drawfee do fan OC fan art. I hope they do more, more regularly. Fans have so many weird and different ideas for their OCs, so there’s a lot of variety and weird and cool stuff I think.
